Abstract

The era of information technology has a huge impact on human behavior, including in early childhood. The closeness that is quite intimate between children from an early age with various information technology equipment has brought various changes in children's behavior. Today's children tend to be more aggressive, lacking social and individual concern. Parents need to take this condition seriously so that it does not have a negative impact on the behavior and character of their children when they grow up. Behavioristic theory is a phenomenal theory and is one of the theories discovered and used by educational experts in developing and controlling human behavior. However, is this theory still relevant enough to be used in the development of children's behavior in this information technology era? The results of the analysis related to behavioristic theory and the characteristics of early childhood through various literature studies have concluded that behavioristic theory is still very suitable for use by parents in developing and controlling children's behavior today. So it is advisable for parents to continue to use behavioristic theory as a strategy in developing early childhood behavior.Keywords: Relevance,  Behavioristic Theory, Positive Behavior, Early Childhood,  The Era Of Information Technology

Abstract

Kurangnya pemanfaatan media video animasi dalam pembelajaran di kelas sehingga mengurangi ketertarikan anak pada kegiatan, media yang digunakan sifatnya hanya LKA semata. Adapun tujuannya Penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan video animasi yang mana isi video tersebut berkaitan dengan literasi awal pada anak di kelompok B TK Mekar Wangi Kecamatan Kabila Bone Kabupaten Bone Bolango. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R & D). Dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) Watson (1981). Hasil penelitian ditunjukan dengan hasil kelayakan video animasi dalam mengenalkan literasi awal pada uji validasi ahli materi memperoleh hasil 89,6% (Sangat Layak) dan uji validasi media memperoleh hasil 89% (Sangat Layak). Selanjutnya pilot test respon guru mendapatkan persentase 88% (Sangat Layak), sedangkan pada anak mendapatkan skor 4 (Sangat Layak). Terakhir uji coba pemakaian pada guru mendapatkan persentase 95%  (Sangat Layak). Adanya pengembangan media video animasi dengan kategori layak, maka penelitian ini bisa dijadikan acuan dalam pengenalan literasi pada anak usia dini.

Abstract

Because children have a limited level of sexual knowledge, teachers have not been able to use more diversified and effective technology-based learning materials to stimulate students. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the interactive picture story e-book "Knowing Our Body Parts" in enhancing children's sexual literacy.  Using the ADDIE approach (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), this kind of research is development research. This study includes eight children from Group B, as well as three experts in learning media, content, and instruments. In this study, questionnaires, interviews, and observation were used as data gathering methods.  A questionnaire was employed as the research tool.  Both quantitative and qualitative descriptive analyses were used to examine the data.  The study's findings demonstrate that the process of developing the e-book "Knowing the Parts of Our Body"—which consists of illustrated stories—is successful in improving sexual knowledge.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the influence of the Project Based Learning model on the early numeracy skills of children aged 5–6 years at Sabbihisma 4 Kindergarten, Padang. Preliminary observations indicated that the children’s numeracy abilities were still underdeveloped, as shown by the difficulty some experienced in counting, sequencing, and writing numbers from 1 to 20. Adopting a quantitative approach, the research applied an experimental design in the form of a Quasi-Experiment. The study population included all children enrolled at Sabbihisma 4 Kindergarten, with the sample comprising 10 children each from classes B5 and B6. Data were obtained through testing and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests. Results revealed that in the experimental group, the mean pre-test score of 9.9 rose to 20.6 in the post-test, with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.002, which is below the threshold of 0.05. These findings suggest that the use of the Project Based Learning model significantly improved early numeracy skills at Sabbihisma 4 Kindergarten, Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to find the effect of tangram games on the geometry abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Yari School Kindergarten. This research approach uses a quantitative method with a Quasi Experiment type. This study is children at Yari School Kindergarten. Sampling uses a purposive sampling technique. The samples used are class B11 as the experimental class and class B2 as the control class with 10 children in each class. The data collection technique uses a test, in the form of 5 statement items and the data analysis technique used in this study is to compare the differences between the two average values, so that a T test is carried out. For data processing, the SPPS application Ver 31 For Windows is used. Based on the post-test hypothesis test, the sig value (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05. Thus, it means that there is a significant difference (real) between the tangram game and the treatment given by the teacher on children's geometry abilities. It can be concluded that the modified tangram game has an effect on the geometric abilities of children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of textured paper pulp play on improving children's fine motor skills, as well as to contribute to the development of more effective and enjoyable methods of fine motor stimulation for early childhood. The background of this study is that the fine motor skills of children have not developed well, with some children still unable to hold a pencil properly. When using scissors, they also struggle to open and close the scissors with one hand. This study employs a quantitative approach using an experimental method designed as a quasi-experiment. The study population included all children at Syukra Cendekia Madani Kindergarten, while the sample was taken from classes B1 and B2, each with 10 children. Data collection was conducted through tests and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The research findings show that in the experimental class, the average pre-test score was 17.7, which increased to 23.1 on the post-test. The sig. (2-tailed) value obtained from the independent sample t-test showed a significant value of 0.006 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. This means that textured paper porridge games have an effect because they are able to provide rich manipulative stimuli and stimulate children's fine motor skills through activities such as squeezing, printing, and shaping

Abstract

This paper presents the outcomes of a community service initiative designed to strengthen the digital competence of Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers through the implementation of Augmented Reality (AR). Conducted in Sawahlunto City with 15 participating teachers, the program employed a participatory training model consisting of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops. Teachers were introduced to AR concepts, development tools, and strategies for integrating AR into learning activities in accordance with Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP). Quantitative results revealed a 40.3% improvement in teachers’ pretest and posttest scores, indicating enhanced conceptual understanding and technical proficiency. Qualitative observations further showed increased motivation, creativity, and readiness to adopt AR-based media in teaching. The successful development of AR learning products by participants confirms the effectiveness of AR training in advancing technopedagogical competence. These findings underscore the potential of AR as an innovative tool for promoting digital literacy and transforming early childhood learning environments.Keywords: Augmented Reality, ECE teacher competence, digital transformation, digital literacy, learning media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Smart Box Literasi terhadap kemampuan membaca awal anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina 2 Bangko. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu yang melibatkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes kemampuan membaca awal yang mencakup kemampuan mengenal huruf, suku kata, dan kata sederhana. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa anak yang belajar menggunakan media Smart Box Literasi memiliki kemampuan membaca awal yang lebih baik dibandingkan anak yang belajar dengan media konvensional. Media Smart Box Literasi mampu menumbuhkan minat, konsentrasi, serta motivasi anak dalam belajar membaca melalui kegiatan bermain yang menyenangkan dan interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan Smart Box Literasi efektif diterapkan di PAUD untuk mengembangkan kemampuan literasi dasar anak sejak usia dini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efektivitas aplikasi Wordwall dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK Islam Terpadu Adzkia III Padang. Menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen, penelitian membandingkan dua kelompok, yakni eksperimen yang menggunakan Wordwall dan kontrol yang menggunakan kartu huruf konvensional. Subjek terdiri dari 30 anak, masing-masing 15 anak per kelompok, dipilih secara purposive untuk memastikan kesetaraan kemampuan awal. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pengenalan huruf dan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar. Tes digunakan untuk menilai kemampuan mengenali bentuk huruf, menyebutkan nama huruf, dan mencocokkan huruf dengan gambar, sedangkan observasi menilai fokus, partisipasi, dan interaksi sosial anak. Proses pembelajaran dirancang interaktif dan menyenangkan, memungkinkan anak belajar sambil bermain melalui berbagai aktivitas yang mendukung perkembangan kognitif dan sosial-emosional. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Wordwall secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf dibanding media konvensional. Selain aspek kognitif, penggunaan Wordwall juga memotivasi anak, meningkatkan keterlibatan mereka, serta memperkuat interaksi sosial dengan teman sebaya. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa media digital interaktif seperti Wordwall dapat menjadi alternatif efektif dalam pendidikan anak usia dini, mendukung literasi awal, dan menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan serta holistik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Kahoot terhadap pengenalan pendidikan seksual pada anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK Negeri 1 Rikit Gaib Kabupaten Gayo Lues Aceh. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya pemahaman anak terhadap konsep tubuh pribadi, batasan fisik, dan perlindungan diri, serta minimnya media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam penyampaian materi sensitif seperti pendidikan seksual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen dan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 10 anak yang dipilih dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Instrumen penelitian mencakup indikator pengenalan tubuh pribadi, batasan sentuhan, dan strategi perlindungan diri. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana untuk mengetahui pengaruh media Kahoot terhadap peningkatan pemahaman anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari penggunaan media Kahoot terhadap pengenalan pendidikan seksual, dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 3,328 dan signifikansi 0,046 (< 0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis permainan seperti Kahoot mampu meningkatkan partisipasi, motivasi, dan pemahaman anak terhadap konsep-konsep dasar pendidikan seksual secara interaktif dan menyenangkan. Dengan demikian, Kahoot dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif yang efektif dalam memperkenalkan pendidikan seksual pada anak usia dini secara kontekstual dan ramah anak.
