Abstract

Because children have a limited level of sexual knowledge, teachers have not been able to use more diversified and effective technology-based learning materials to stimulate students. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the interactive picture story e-book "Knowing Our Body Parts" in enhancing children's sexual literacy.  Using the ADDIE approach (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), this kind of research is development research. This study includes eight children from Group B, as well as three experts in learning media, content, and instruments. In this study, questionnaires, interviews, and observation were used as data gathering methods.  A questionnaire was employed as the research tool.  Both quantitative and qualitative descriptive analyses were used to examine the data.  The study's findings demonstrate that the process of developing the e-book "Knowing the Parts of Our Body"—which consists of illustrated stories—is successful in improving sexual knowledge.

Abstract

The high rate of early marriage in recent years is a phenomenon that must be taken seriously by various parties. This problem will continue due to young parents' low readiness level to fulfil their role. Many young parents today lack an understanding of their role in being responsible for the growth and development of their children after marriage. This study uses a literature review, searching through various relevant offline and online references. The results of this study indicate that non-formal education programs, such as parenting programs, can provide a platform for young parents to enhance their readiness to fulfil their roles in addressing issues related to early childhood growth and development stimulation. Parenting programs can provide the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to become effective parents, and they can play a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of children from an early age.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pengaruh higher order thinking skills (hots) terhadap penguasaan kosakata pada anak usia 5-6 Tahun di TK Mekar Desa Hulawa Kecamatan Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan jenis Pre-Eksperimen One Group Pre-posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 20 orang anak. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan data Pre- Test memperoleh nilai rata-rata 14,6 dan standar deviasi 2,63. Sedangkan pada Post-Test memperoleh nilai rata-rata 21,4 dan standar deviasi 2,56. Dan diperoleh hasil thitung sebesar 0,165, dengan ttabel sebesar 0,190. Jadi thitung lebih besar nilainya dari ttabel, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh higher order thinking skills (hots) terhadap penguasaan kosakata anak pada usia 5-6 tahun di TK Mekar Desa Hulawa Kecamatan Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Abstract

This research aims to analyze in depth the transformation of teaching practices of Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers at Pautan Hati Kindergarten after participating in the Continuous Professional Development Program (PKB) implemented through the Lesson Study model. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects of the research are ECE teachers at Pautan Hati Kindergarten who actively participated in the Lesson Study-based PKB program. Data collection was conducted through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis of lesson plans and teachers' reflective journals, both before, during, and after the intervention. Research findings indicate a significant positive transformation in teachers' teaching practices, including enhanced quality of child-centered lesson planning, more interactive and varied learning implementation, more authentic and formative assessment practices, and strengthened culture of collaboration and reflection among teachers. Factors such as teachers' motivation, support from school principals, and the quality of Lesson Study facilitation are the main supports for this transformation, while time and resource limitations serve as obstacles. The main conclusion emphasizes that Lesson Study-based professional development is effective in holistically transforming the teaching practices of early childhood education teachers.

Abstract

This research aims to understand and explore teachers' perspectives regarding the Sustainable Professional Development Program (PKB), with a case study at the Islamic Kindergarten Fatmawati in the city of Jambi. The approach used is qualitative descriptive with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews using a digital questionnaire distributed via Google Forms through social media WhatsApp. The subjects of the study include all teachers at the Islamic Kindergarten Fatmawati, with a total of three respondents. The research results show that teachers understand the importance of the PKB Program as a means to continuously improve their competencies and professionalism. Teachers are aware that active participation in PKB supports the enhancement of learning quality, encourages innovation in teaching practices, and strengthens commitment to the profession. Nevertheless, teachers also face challenges such as time limitations and supporting resources to participate optimally in the program.

Abstract

Locomotor activity of learners is a fundamental aspect of gross motor development in early childhood that requires effective stimulation. This study aims to examine the efficacy of fantasy gymnastics as a stimulation method. This study focuses on analyzing the effect of fantasy gymnastics intervention on the development of locomotor skills of preschool children in one of the Early Childhood Education Institutions in Indonesia. Locomotor activity of learners is a fundamental aspect in early childhood gross motor development that requires appropriate and effective stimulation. The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest type. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a total sample of 10 children from group B2. The instruments used in data collection were tests and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the help of SPSS version 30 software through paired sample t-test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Based on the results of data analysis, a significance value of 0.001 was obtained which is smaller than 0.05, so the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Thus, researchers can conclude that the hypothesis (Ha) in this study is accepted, namely that there is an effect of story fantasy gymnastics on the ability of locomotor activities of early childhood students with the implementation of experimental story fantasy gymnastics activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi seberapa besar pengaruh permainan estafet bait lagu terhadap pengembangan kemampuan sosial anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 40 anak yang terdaftar di TK Bhakti Bunda Padang, yang dikelompokkan ke dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dari empat kelas yang berbeda. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penilaian lisan dan observasi terhadap perilaku sosial anak selama kegiatan berlangsung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak yang terlibat dalam permainan estafet bait lagu mengalami peningkatan kemampuan sosial yang lebih signifikan dibandingkan dengan anak-anak dalam kelompok kontrol. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas bermain yang mengandung unsur musik dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mendukung perkembangan sosial anak di usia prasekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi kegiatan Suban Gitik IKM (Studi Banding dan Berbagi Praktik Baik Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka) dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru PAUD. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru-guru yang mengikuti program di TK Mutiara Bunda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini memberikan ruang reflektif dan kolaboratif bagi guru untuk memahami dan menerapkan prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka secara kontekstual. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis, tetapi juga membangun budaya belajar kolektif di antara satuan PAUD. Kebaruan dari penelitian ini terletak pada pemanfaatan pendekatan komunitas belajar antar satuan pendidikan sebagai strategi pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan yang efektif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan replikasi model ini dengan dukungan kebijakan dan sistem pendampingan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) memegang peranan penting dalam mendukung pertumbuhan anak secara menyeluruh, mencakup perkembangan kognitif, emosional-sosial, motorik, bahasa, dan moral. Pada rentang usia 0 hingga 6 tahun, anak membutuhkan rangsangan yang sesuai dengan tahap perkembangannya melalui aktivitas bermain yang menyenangkan dan bermakna. Namun, kenyataannya masih banyak masyarakat yang salah paham dengan menganggap PAUD sebagai tempat mempercepat kemampuan akademik seperti membaca, menulis, dan berhitung (calistung). Pandangan keliru ini menimbulkan tekanan terhadap anak untuk mencapai prestasi akademik sejak dini, yang dapat mengganggu keseimbangan emosional dan sosial mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan kajian pustaka guna menelaah pemahaman orang tua dan pendidik mengenai peran PAUD serta praktik pembelajarannya. Temuan menunjukkan adanya ketimpangan antara kebijakan pendidikan nasional yang menekankan pendekatan bermain dengan praktik pembelajaran yang cenderung akademik. Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan edukasi menyeluruh bagi orang tua, peningkatan kapasitas guru, serta penguatan peran lembaga PAUD untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang ramah anak, selaras dengan tahap perkembangan, dan bebas dari tekanan akademik yang terlalu dini.

Abstract

he purpose of this study was to determine the impact of banana stem printing activities on the fine motor skills of early childhood children. Instead of utilizing the natural banana stem design, the children in this study cut their own banana stems into star patterns and then used them as molds. This study used a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experiment method. The study population was 133 children, all aged 5 or 6 years, and 16 children were in the sample. The methods used to collect data were observation and testing. The methods used to analyze the data included normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests, and effect size tests. The data obtained were processed using SPSS 30.0 for Windows to analyze the data, and set a significance threshold of 5% (0.05). The findings of this study indicate that banana stem printing activities are an effective way to help children aged five to six years hone their fine motor skills. The results showed a significant increase in children's skills between the pre- and post-treatment periods. Furthermore, the effect of this activity is included in the strong category. Kindergarten children aged five or six years have their fine motor skills greatly improved through banana stem molding exercises.
