Abstract

This study examines the practice of ivory belis in Lamaholot traditional marriage in Leworaja Village, Lembata Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Belis in the form of elephant ivory is a customary requirement that has social, cultural, and honorary values for Lamaholot women. However, this practice often burdens men economically and raises normative issues in the perspective of Islamic law which emphasizes the simplicity of dowry and the prohibition of burdening prospective husbands. This research uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with traditional leaders, religious leaders, and local communities, as well as analysis of customary law documents and marriage fiqh. The results of the study show that ivory belis is seen as a symbol of self-esteem and kinship bonds, but in Islamic law this tradition cannot be positioned as a legal condition for marriage. Islam only requires a simple dowry which is the full right of the wife. Therefore, the practice of ivory belis requires reinterpretation in order to maintain the cultural values of the Lamaholot community while being in line with the principles of maqaṣid al-shari'ah which emphasizes convenience, justice, and benefits.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di luar kampus bermaksud untuk meningkatkan relevansi pendidikan tinggi dengan perkembangan dan kebutuhan masyarakat akan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, serta seni untuk melaksanakan pembangunan yang semakin meningkat, persepsi mahasiswa tentang relevansi antara kurikulum yang dipelajari dikampus dengan realita pembangunan dalam masyarakat. Adapun tujuan dari program pembelajaran mewarnai yaitu untuk meningkatkan motorik halus, penguatan percaya diri, sebagai media berekspresi, dalam mengisi waktu luang dengan kegiatan yang bermanfaat. Mewarnai adalah kegiatan yang dapat mengasah kreatifitas anak, selain itu merupakan salah satu seni yang disukai anak serta mudah untuk dipelajari. Mewarnai juga dapat menstimulasi kinerja otak kanan yang sangat penting bagi kecerdasan anak. Pembelajaran mewarnai di SDN 03 Cempaka Putih oleh tim pengabdian dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan lomba. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan tersebut memberikan dampak yang berbeda bagi masing-masing anak. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan melatih fokus anak melalui mewarnai gambar agar rata dan rapi tanpa keluar dari batas gambar, pengkombinasian warna yang digunakan, serta fokus pada penyelesaian mewarnai tanpa terpengaruh kepada peserta lain.

Abstract

Menabung merupakan kegiatan menyisihkan sebagian uang atau pendapatan yang dimiliki untuk disimpan dengan tujuan untuk mengelola uang tersebut. Manfaat menabung bisa diperoleh hasilnya ketika kita menjalani kegiatan menabung ini secara rutin dan tekun. Hal tersebut bertujuan untuk menjalankan pola hidup hemat dan juga merupakan pembangunan karakteristik untuk tidak menghaburkan uang yang semestinya diterapkan sejak dini. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat melakukan salah satu kegiatan Penyuluhan tentang “Pentingnya menabung Sejak Dini” kepada para siswa Yayasan Lazuardi Madani, mengingat masih rendahnya budaya menabung di kalangan siswa khususnya menabung di suatu bank. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk (1) memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa mengenai pentingnya menabung dan manfaatnya untuk masa depan; (2) memotivasi siswa untuk mau menabung sehingga menumbuhkan kesadaran pada siswa untuk dapat menyisihkan sebagian kecil dari uang jajannya untuk ditabung: Metode Pelaksanaan PKM ini yaitu dengan Metode Penyuluhan dan interaktif secara offline atau tatap muka langsung. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini diharapkan para siswa di Yayasan Lazuardi Madani dapat menerapkan pola hidup yang hemat demi masa depan yang lebih baik

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in cultural diversity and home to the largest Muslim population in the world. The study explores the communication strategy of da’wah among Generation Z through digital media. Against diverse cultural influences, the research specifically aims to unravel the intricacies of employing digital media to convey moderate Islam's universal values. Qualitative methods such as interviews, observations, and documentation were employed to internalize the universal values of moderate Islam. What emerges from this exploration is the pivotal role of social media in crafting effective communication strategies. The findings, drawn from insights provided by five informants aged 21-24, underscore the significant role of social media in shaping effective communication strategies for proselytization and fostering the embrace of moderate Islamic values within Generation Z. This research not only contributes to the scholarly discourse on religious communication but also provides practical implications for those engaged in proselytizing efforts.

Abstract

This article examines the effectiveness of training and mentoring in curriculum assessment and adaptation programs for children with special needs at the elementary school level. The purpose of the community service is to describe teachers' abilities in assessing and adapting the curriculum and to evaluate the impact of ongoing mentoring on the implementation of an inclusive curriculum. The method used is ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), with an established framework for empowering the community. The findings of this community service activity indicate that effective training and mentoring can improve teachers' skills in curriculum assessment and adaptation, and have a positive impact on the learning process of children with special needs

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat literasi dan numerasi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta sebagai fondasi dasar akademik. Permasalahan mendasar yang dihadapi mahasiswa PAI berkaitan dengan lemahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis berbasis bacaan dan pengolahan angka, yang berdampak pada performa akademik mereka di berbagai mata kuliah. Program ini dilakukan melalui pelatihan intensif selama tiga hari yang mencakup pembelajaran berbasis teks-teks keislaman dan konteks numerik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mahasiswa. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif dan reflektif, peserta diarahkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan memahami, menganalisis, dan menyajikan informasi dalam bentuk teks dan angka. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan dasar literasi dan numerasi peserta, ditandai dengan perubahan strategi belajar serta peningkatan partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi akademik. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi model pendampingan literasi-numerasi berbasis spiritualitas Islam di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi keagamaan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze management policies including internal audit development, Corporate Governance, and digital fundraising strategies and their influence on fundraising performance at Zakat institutions in Indonesia. Employing a quantitative Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach, with data analysis conducted using Smart PLS 4, data was collected via questionnaires distributed to Zakat Amil across various institutions. The results indicate that the internal audit process significantly affects Corporate Governance. Crucially, both Corporate Governance and digital fundraising were found to have a strong positive effect on Zakat fundraising outcomes. These predictor variables demonstrate very strong explanatory power, evidenced by R-squared values of 0.911 for Corporate Governance and 0.961 for Zakat collection, collectively explaining a significant portion of the variation in Zakat collection. Therefore, the main recommendation of this research is the reinforcement of internal audit as a determinant of effective governance and sustained investment in digital fundraising to maximize national Zakat potential.

Abstract

The rapid development of financial technology has transformed banking services, including Islamic banking, which strives to meet Muslims’ financial needs in accordance with Islamic principles. This study aims to examine the influence of Sharia compliance and system security on consumer perceptions and satisfaction with Islamic digital banking services. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through an online survey of 103 Muslim Islamic bank customers in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. PLS-SEM analysis showed that Sharia compliance and security significantly influenced consumer perceptions (R² = 0.826), whereas perceptions and security contributed to consumer satisfaction (R² = 0.668). The results of the hypothesis test indicate that Sharia compliance has a positive and significant effect on perceptions but not directly on consumer satisfaction. Perception mediates the relationship between Shariah compliance and consumer satisfaction. Security significantly influences consumer perception and satisfaction. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating Sharia compliance and security to improve customer perceptions and satisfaction with Islamic digital banking.

Abstract

In an era driven by technological progress, lecturers, as the main agents in academic research, are faced with the demand to understand and integrate data, technology, and human values into their research. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the research performance of lecturers based on the factors of data literacy, technological literacy, and humanism literacy, as well as the integrity of lecturers in higher education. This research method involves surveys and data analysis by a number of lecturers who are active in research in various scientific disciplines. This research method also uses a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional study design. Data was collected through a Google Form questionnaire distributed via WhatsApp. The research data was analyzed using multiple regression (OLS). This article contributes to an understanding of the importance of integrating data literacy, technology, and human values into lecturers' research approaches. The practical implication of this research is the need to develop training programs and institutional support to increase literacy and integrity in the context of academic research. The research results show that literacy and data integrity have a significant effect on lecturers’ research performance. Meanwhile, technological literacy and humanism literacy do not have a significant effect on lecturers' research performance. Lecturers’ research performance through the results of this research is influenced by variations in data literacy, technological literacy, humanism literacy, and integrity by 36.1%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and lifestyle on financial management during the pandemic. During the pandemic, there were restrictions on activities and economic activities so that people had limited income and were required to manage their money efficiently and even be required to generate additional income. So that there is a demand for expertise in financial management. To analyze this phenomenon, research was carried out using quantitative methods. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to selected respondents. The results of the study show that financial literacy partially affects financial management, and lifestyle affects financial management. Simultaneously, financial literacy and lifestyle affect financial management. The determination coefficient shows 0.633 which means that the independent variable determines the dependent variable of 63.3% This influence is quite strong because it exceeds 50%. while the remaining 36.3% is determined by other variables.
