Abstract

Burnout is a syndrome that is experienced by many health professionals, including nurses who work in high-pressure conditions. In Indonesia, the prevalence of burnout in nurses reached 27.7% and in Jakarta it was 27.3%. One of the factors that causes burnout is the lack of organizational support, especially from superiors. Effective leadership styles are needed to address this problem, one of which is transformational leadership styles. This style plays an important role in improving the motivation, emotional well-being, and performance of nurses. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between transformational leadership style and the incidence of burnout in nurses to understand whether leadership style can significantly reduce burnout in nurses. This study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA method to identify relevant studies related to the relationship between transformational leadership style and burnout in nurses. Of the 556 articles that have passed the selection stage, 5 articles are ready to be synthesized. After the analysis, the findings from five studies showed that transformational leadership styles had an impact on nurse fatigue levels. It has been shown that transformational leadership styles affect nurses' burnout levels, which in turn can increase their motivation to deliver health services.

Abstract

Konflik di lingkungan rumah sakit merupakan hal yang umum terjadi karena perbedaan pendapat, tekanan kerja, maupun komunikasi yang kurang efektif, dan dapat berdampak pada kinerja perawat. Literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh manajemen konflik terhadap kinerja perawat di rumah sakit melalui tinjauan sistematik terhadap hasil penelitian terdahulu. Pencarian artikel dilakukan pada basis data PubMed dan Google Scholar menggunakan kata kunci: “Conflict management”, “nurse performance”, dan “hospital”, dibatasi pada artikel yang dipublikasikan dalam lima tahun terakhir, berbahasa Inggris atau Indonesia, dan tersedia dalam full text. Dari 9.624 artikel yang ditemukan, enam artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi setelah melalui proses seleksi berbasis PRISMA dan penilaian kualitas menggunakan instrumen dari Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Hasil review menunjukkan bahwa strategi manajemen konflik seperti kolaborasi, kompromi, dan akomodasi berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kepuasan kerja dan kinerja perawat. Kesimpulannya, manajemen konflik yang efektif berperan penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif dan meningkatkan mutu pelayanan keperawatan. Temuan ini dapat dijadikan acuan bagi manajemen rumah sakit dalam meningkatkan kualitas kerja perawat melalui pendekatan pengelolaan konflik yang tepat.   Conflict within hospital settings is a common occurrence arising from differences in opinions, heavy workloads, and ineffective communication, all of which may adversely affect nurses’ performance. This systematic literature review aims to examine the influence of conflict management strategies on nurses’ performance in hospital environments. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using PubMed and Google Scholar databases with the keywords: “conflict management”, “nurse performance”, and “hospital”. The inclusion criteria were studies published within the last five years, available in full text, and written in either English or Indonesian. Of the 9,624 articles initially identified, six studies met the inclusion criteria after screening using the PRISMA flow and quality appraisal based on the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) checklist. The findings indicate that conflict management strategies—particularly collaboration, compromise, and accommodation—are significantly associated with improved job satisfaction and performance among nurses. It is concluded that effective conflict management contributes to a more positive work environment and enhances the quality of healthcare services. These results highlight the importance of equipping nurse managers with appropriate conflict resolution skills to optimize organizational performance in healthcare settings.

Abstract

Anak usia prasekolah berada pada tahap perkembangan kritis, seperti pembentukan identitas dan membangun sosial. Anak berada dalam periode dimana sebagian besar dari aktivitas melibatkan unsur permainan. Penggunaan gadget atau gawai yang dikenal dengan istilah screen time yang berlebihan pada usia yang terlalu dini berdampak tidak baik dan bahkan dapat memunculkan pengaruh buruk bagi anak-anak. Perlu adanya tindakan agar orang tua mengetahui pedoman dalam memberikan screen time bagi anak-anak mereka dengan permainan yang mendidik. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua agar anak dapat terhindar dari dampak screen time dengan permainan edukatif montessori. Metode pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan yang terdiri dari lima langkah yaitu identifikasi masalah, menetapkan masalah kesehataan yang ada, perencanaan,implementasi dan evaluasi. Hasil monitoring dan evaluasi dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dengan dilakukan post-test mengenai persepsi orang tua terhadap permainan edukatif Montessori. Permainan edukatif Montessori memberikan dampak terhadap persepsi orang tua menjadi lebih lebih baik terutama mengenai keterlibatan orang tua dalam melatih kemampuan motorik dan sensorik anak, sebagai langkah tepat untuk mengurangi dampak screen time yang terlalu lama pada anak. Preschool children are at a critical stage of development, such as identity formation and social development. Children are in a period where most of their activities involve play elements. Excessive use of gadgets or devices, known as screen time at an early age, has a negative impact and can even negatively influence children. Action is needed so that parents know the guidelines for providing screen time for their children with educational games. This Community Service aims to increase parental knowledge so children can avoid screen time's impact with Montessori educational games. The Community Service method that will be carried out uses the nursing care theory, which consists of five steps: identifying problems, determining existing health problems, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This community service program's monitoring and evaluation results were good, as they were conducted by conducting a post-test on parents' perceptions of Montessori educational games. Education for parents about the importance of stimulating children with Montessori educational games has an impact on better parental perceptions of the importance of Montessori games that involve children's motor and sensory abilities as the right step to reduce the impact of too much screen time on children.

Abstract

Hospitals are important health service facilities that pay special attention to their health workers, especially nurses because they have the largest segment in hospitals who are the spearhead of services with a greater amount of time and intensity than other health workers so that their performance will directly affect influences the roles and functions required to be able to provide maintained nursing services, efficiency and also have high service standards which refer to the occurrence of work stress and result in it burnout syndrome. Factors that cause it to occur burnout namely workload, feelings of self-control, rewards, alienation from the community, injustice, work stress, leadership style and desire to work. The appropriate leadership style to be able to deal with this is servant leadership. Objective: This research aims to determine the level of implementation of servant leadership by the head of the room and the level of burnout syndrome felt by the implementing nurses in the treatment room at Sumedang Regional Hospital. Method: The method used in this research is a correlational quantitative method. The research was conducted on implementing nurses using simple random sampling. This research instrument uses Barbuto and Wheeler's instrument to measure servant leadership and Maslach's instrument to assess burnout syndrome. This research has received ethical commission approval with No.11/EA/KEPK/2024. Results: This research obtained significance p 0.002 so that Hₒ is rejected, in other words there is a significant negative relationship between servant leadership of the head of the room and burnout syndrome in executive nurses. Conclusion: Servant leadership contributes to burnout syndrome because if the servant leadership of the head of the room is low then the burnout syndrome in executive nurses will be high, and vice versa.

Abstract

The implementing community service aims to increase the knowledge and skills of housewives and adolescent girls through innovation in processing local tofu food products in an effort to prevent anemia and realize an independent healthy village. The method of implementing this service uses an action review approach with six steps, namely needs assessment, goal formulation, planning, counseling implementation, activity evaluation, and reporting. Activities were carried out in Situmekar Village Sumedang Regency, involving 15 participants consisting of 5 adolescent girls and 10 housewives. The data analysis technique for the results of this service uses descriptive and bivariate analysis. The results show that there is an increase in participants' knowledge about anemia prevention, entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and skills in processing tofu into tofu nuggets and tofu burgers. The evaluation showed a significant difference in the average increase in knowledge between before and after counseling (p-value ≤ 0.05).  Tofu processing innovation as a local food with high nutritional and economic value is expected to prevent anemia and improve the economy of rural communities.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan gaya kepemimpinan situasional terhadap kinerja perawat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melakukan tinjauan sistematis terhadap literatur dengan pendekatan PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses). Tinjauan ini dibagi menjadi empat tahap: identifikasi, seleksi, validitas, dan analisis hasil. Hasil penelitian dari 1.150 artikel yang diperoleh, didapatkan hasil 5 artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Kesimpulan gaya kepemimpinan situasional memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap kinerja perawat.

Abstract

Kualitas perawatan di Indonesia telah menjadi perhatian utama terutama terkait dengan fungsi manajemen yang efektif. Peningkatan efisiensi dalam operasional dan hasil perawatan yang lebih baik merupakan dampak dari penerapan manajemen yang baik. Manajemen yang baik mencakup perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengarahan, dan pengawasan yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas pelayanan keperawatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor manajemen yang berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan. Peneliti menggunakan empat database dalam menyusun artikel literature review ini diantaranya adalah Google Scholar, Science Direct, Scopus, dan Semantic Scholar dengan kata kunci pasien rawat inap, kualitas pelayanan perawatan, fungsi manajemen. Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris merupakan kriteria inklusi yang ditetapkan pada penelitian ini, populasi artikel pasien rawat inap, artikel berbentuk fulltext/open acces, artikel dipublikasi 5 tahun terakhir dari tahun 2019-2024, isi artikel sesuai topik penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini, salah satu analisis yang dilakukan adalah pemilihan artikel dengan menggunakan diagram PRISMA untuk mencari artikel yang memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Hasil dari penyaringan didapatkan 8 artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria dan memperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat 3 faktor utama fungsi manajemen yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan perawatan pada pasien rawat inap diantaranya adalah fungsi organizing, fungsi planning, dan fungsi controlling. Kesimpulan bahwa penerapan fungsi manajemen memiliki memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan di Indonesia. signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Nursing services with good team methods depend on the team leader's ability to direct their work in a motivated working environment. In fact, the direction has not been fully done by the team leader due to some factors such as a lot of work, and internal and external problems between the other nurses. This study aims to find out the link between the leadership of the team leader and the motivation of the nurse. This type of research is quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design. The sampling technique used is the total samplings of all associate nurses in the RSUD hospital room of Sumedang, which has a total of 160 people. Data collection used an adaptation of Murtiani's (2013) direction questionnaire and Saefuloh's (2009) motivation questionnaire. Data analysis technique using Spearman Rho. The results of univariate analysis of both variables showed that the majority of respondents under the leadership of the team leadership were 148 nurses (92,5%) and most of the respondents with a high motivation for work were 147 nurse (91.9%). Bivariat analysis indicated that a signifying value or p-value was obtained (0,001) < (0,05), meaning that there was a significant relationship between team leader leadership and nurse motivation at RSUD Sumedang. The close correlation between these two variables suggests that good guidance can increase the motivation of nurses in the face of various tasks and situations.

Abstract

In nursing, therapeutic communication is a very important component for establishing professional relationships with patients. A nurse who has the ability to communicate therapeutically with patients will find it easy to establish a relationship of mutual trust with the patient. The level of success of a health service can be assessed from the communication provided by the nurse to the patient. When nurses carry out therapeutic communication with patients, patients will feel satisfaction with the services provided. The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the relationship between nurses' therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction with health services at the UPTD of the Tanjungsari health center, Sumedang district. This research was conducted by taking 52 respondents from outpatients of the UPTD Tanjungsari Health Center, Sumedang Regency. This type of research uses quantitative methods with a cross sectional approach and the sampling technique used is accidental sampling. The results of this research showed that there was a relationship between nurses' therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction with health services at the Tanjungsari Health Center, Sumedang Regency with the result p = 0.001 < 0.05. From this research it can be concluded that therapeutic communication carried out by nurses has a very positive impact on patient satisfaction with health services.
