Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Nearpod interactive media on discovering a learning model on learning outcomes of class XI MIA students of MAN 4 Bone. The research method used was a quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach and using a posttestonly control group design. The research population were all from class XI MIA with a total of 2 classes. The research samples were class XI MIA 1 as the experimental class and class XI MIA 2 as the control class. The data collection technique used multiple choice tests to obtain data of learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of statistical analysis showed that the experimental class' average learning outcomes were 75.53, higher than the control class, which was 71.28. The results of statistical analysis of learning outcomes showed that the experimental and control class data came from a homogeneous population but not normally distributed, so that the test used was the Mann-Whitney test. From data analysis, it showed Zcount (3.88) > Ztable. (1.64). Based on data analysis, it could be concluded that there was an effect of Nearpod interactive media on the discovery learning model on learning outcomes of XI MIA Students of MAN 4 Bone on acid base subject matter.

Abstract

This research and development aim to produce a valid, practical, and effective e-module buffer solution flipbook. The development of this e-module refers to the ADDIE development model which includes the analysis stage, the design stage, the development stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. There are four subjects in this research, namely media experts and material experts as validity test subjects, chemistry teachers as the practicality test subject,ct, and 35 students in class XI MIPA 3 as the practicality and effectiveness tests subjects. The instruments used for validity are validation sheets by media experts and material experts, practicality, namely observation sheets on the implementation of e-module, teacher and student response questionnaires, and effectiveness, namely learning outcomes tests. The results of this study are: (1) the validity of the digital module from the material expert is 3,6 and the media expert is 3,5 which is in the very valid category with a consistency test between validators are 100% which is in very high criteria, (2) the average percentage of e-module practicality is 85,66%, where the percentage of practicality based on the questionnaire responses of students and teachers the to the digital issue is 85,33% and 86% in the very practical category, 3) e[1]module meet the effective criteria (≥85%) based on the achievement of class completeness with percentage 88,57%. Based on these data, it is concluded that the e-module flipbook buffer solution developed with the ADDIE model is valid, practical, and effective for use in learning.

Abstract

Several studies have emphasised the value of discovery learning in enhancing students' understanding of chemical concepts and improving their critical thinking skills. However, research on the skills or competencies of prospective chemistry teachers in developing discovery learning based instructional materials remains limited, particularly in the context of higher education in indonesia. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between the quality of student worksheets, the quality of teaching materials, and the quality of teaching modules with the ability to develop instructional tools. The research employed the structural equation modelling-partial least squares (SEM-PLS) method using smart PLS software to examine the correlation between the quality of instructional materials and the ability of prospective chemistry teachers to design learning tools. The collected instructional materials were evaluated using an assessment rubric. The results of hypothesis testing through bootstrapping showed that the quality of student worksheets had a positive and significant effect on the ability to develop instructional tools (p = 0.002). Similarly, the quality of teaching materials significantly influenced the ability to design instructional tools (p = 0.000). Furthermore, the quality of teaching modules also significantly affected the ability to construct instructional tools (p = 0.001). These findings indicate a complex and interconnected relationship between the quality of learning components such as student worksheets, teaching materials, and teaching modules and the competence to develop effective learning tools

Abstract

Students' low critical thinking on controversial environmental issues reflects weak skills in analyzing and concluding information, worsened by the absence of effective learning tools such as student worksheets (LKM) designed to foster critical thinking skills. The purpose of this article is to describe and test the extent to which the use of LKM can affect students' critical thinking skills (CTS) in understanding and responding to controversial environmental issues. By understanding the influence of LKM on CTS, it is hoped that more effective strategies can be found in integrating environmental education into the higher education curriculum. The type of research in this article is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques through observation and document analysis. The data analysis process begins by reading observation notes and worksheet documents repeatedly to identify aspects of CTS that are identified. These aspects are then organized based on categories that are relevant to the research objectives. Furthermore, comparing data from various sources (observations and documentation) to ensure consistency of findings and increase the validity of the research results. The results of the study indicate that the use of worksheets is effective in improving students' CTS on controversial environmental issues, as shown by an increase in the quality of discussions and arguments that are more structured and in-depth
