Abstract

Malang City has Vocational High Schools that have the most complete ICT A accreditation for RPL majors, one of which is Vocational High Schools PGRI 3 MALANG. This school uses ICT that interact with each other, and innovate to produce students majoring in Software Engineering with work-ready knowledge in the industrial world. However, this is inversely proportional to the lack of use of learning media in the basic programming material of the flowchart chapter for students to learn, so a prototype of interactive learning media was made by adapting the APPED model. This model has stages in the form of analysis & preliminary research, design, production, evaluation, & dissemination. The dissemination stage was not carried out because the learning media made were prototypes. In media development, Adobe Animated software is needed as a means of prototyping learning media in flash form. The results of the alpha test from the experts' test stated that the material in this media was very good with a percentage of 95.5%, for media it was considered very good with a percentage of 88.8% and for instructional in the media it was assessed as 92.5%. With these results it is stated that this media can be used properly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to express students' opinions from the experiences they felt due to the impact of physical distancing that required the closure of schools, universities, and training centers, as well as the obstacles they experienced during the implementation of online learning to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to express students' opinions from the experiences they felt due to the impact of physical distancing that required the closure of schools, universities, and training centers, as well as the obstacles they experienced during the implementation of online learning to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, data collection of students' experience of online learning using qualitative descriptive methods that are explorative through semi-structural interviews in depth involving 10 students of the Information Technology Department of the Malang State Polytechnic. The number of participants is obtained from the results of saturation data. The results of semi-structural interview data collection are then made into verbatim transcripts and analyzed with thematic coding, and divided into main themes, secondary themes, and code. It is concluded that students have an unlikable experience of three aspects of information system problems related to technology and information linking, organizations, and individuals. Issues such as students feeling dissatisfied due to lack of synchronous educational activities, lack of interaction and communication, failure to understand the material given and dissatisfied with the way of teaching from some lecturers became an unlikable experience of online learning activities. This research can be information and suggestions in improving online learning in the future.

Abstract

The lack of public awareness about the existence of government online services is partly due to its spread on different platforms. By utilizing information technology, applications are seen as solutions that can accommodate various government services to be easier accessed by public. This study aims to design a good user experience using Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach in order to ease people in using government services. Context of use analysis is done by conducting interviews with Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kota Malang as the stakeholder. The second phase, user needs analysis, is carried out by analyzing the results of interviews with stakeholders and users in order to obta in the content needs. Then, producing design solutions is carried out by implementing the results of the analysis in to the form of storyboard, user flow, information architecture, wireframe, screenflow, mockup, and prototype. The last phase, design evaluation, is carried out through usability testing with five users in three iterations. Effectiveness aspect measured by the completion rate shows a stable success rate of 100%. The efficiency aspect which is measured by calculating time-based efficiency is scored 0.0189goals/sec. The satisfaction aspect is measured using single ease question and got a final score of 6. Through usability testing, problems are also found in the design solutions which are then fixed in each iteration.

Abstract

YouTube is one of the most popular platforms used to share videos. One of the main components of YouTube is users who upload their videos to the YouTube platform (content creator) using a special page Creator Studio. Even so, over time the old technology used in creating Creator Studio limited YouTube to further develop it. To overcome this, YouTube developed a new page called YouTube Studio which is accompanied by a complete change of appearance for all content creators. This research was conducted to determine the comparison of the user experience of the two pages using User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and diary study. The UEQ comparison results show that the old page is better than the new page in almost all aspects. According to the diary study, one of the main problems with content creators comes from the separation of various information into various tabs that are difficult to access on new pages.

Abstract

A common solution for myopia sufferers is to wear glasses. However, glasses are not for curing vision, but they only help sufferers to see more clearly. In 1920 Dr. William Horatio Bates invented a practical and free method called the Bates method, this method can be done by everyone to cure minus eye without having to use tools. The Bates method is implemented into an application called Bates EyeCare using virtual reality technology. Bates EyeCare simulates eye muscle training in a virtual world by using objects in that world as a training reference. By utilizing the personal extreme programming development method aimed at developing fast and concise individual applications, 2 iterations with 1 iteration focused on developing eye sports methods in the virtual world using Unity3d with real processing time of 30 hours 7 minutes, faster 5 7 hours from the estimated development time, while the development in iteration 2 focuses on implementing the unity module from the results of iteration 1 on Android Studio so that the virtual world can be used on the Android mobile platform with real processing time is 20 hours 40 minutes, 20 minutes faster than the estimate development time. User acceptance testing was conducted on 4 respondents with a final score of 5,582, which stated that the overall user was of the opinion Agree that the system has succeeded in meeting the needs of the user.

Abstract

Langgeng Motor car repair shop customers have high mobility but do not have sufficient information about the workshop capacity which makes customers uncertain about getting car service and causes the workshop to get poor reviews. This study aims to design a Langgeng App's User Experience as a solution that has good Usability and User Experience values. The Human-Centered Design approach is used with due regard to the User Experience element. Starting from analyzing the user context, analyzing user needs, and creating a solution design. Design evaluation using Usability Testing produces an effectiveness value of 96.9% for the customer user group and 97.5% for the workshop employee user group and is in a good category or above 78% and an efficiency value of 90.7% for customers and 90.83% for workshop employees. Customer satisfaction is positive or above 0.8 which is known from the UEQ Hedonic Quality aspect. User Experience Questionnaires are given after testing and get a "Good" category on the Perspicuity and Efficiency aspects for customer user groups, and a "Good" category on the Efficiency aspect and the "Above Average" category on the Perspicuity aspect for workshop employees. The "Excellent" category in the aspects of Attractiveness, Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty is in both groups of users. Thus, design solutions have positive values in terms of User Experience and Usability.

Therefore, it is necessary to have an application that can educate college students to care about their mental health so as to avoid the bad effects of mental illness. This research aims to design an educational application for mental conditions with a good user experience so that it is expected to provide easy information regarding the mental health conditions of college students. The method used in this research is human centered design for approach. In this research the evaluation of the solution design used the heuristic evaluation method which involved 3 experts as the evaluator. From the evaluation results, it is found that 9 problems have been sorted based on the highest severity ratings. Where the problems that have the highest severity ratings have high repair priority with errors that must be corrected. Thus the results obtained from this study are application designs in the form of prototypes and design results of application improvements.
