Abstract

PT Mabruro Tour and Travel is a company that focuses on organizing Hajj and Umrah. However because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Travel Mabruro need online services in managing registration and administration to reduce physical contact, for this reason Travel Mabruro utilizes a previously owned website to add these services. In order to add these services to run according to the needs and goals, a website user experience design is carried out which began with a business process analysis then the results of the analysis are used as references in interface design. To produce services that are suitable with the needs, the Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach is used. Focusing on producing a service system that can be useful and beneficial by involving humans (in this case users and stakeholder) which aims to meet the needs and satisfaction of users and also achieve organizational goals that are previously planned. It consists of several stages, the first stage is to specify the context of use and user needs which are obtained by conducting interview with stakeholders (Travel Mabruro) and user who will use these services, then planning the design solution by making wireframe, screenflow and high-fidelity prototype which will be the final result of the Travel Mabruro interface. After that, the result of design solution will be evaluated using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. The evaluation results obtained a positive value on each UEQ scale, 1.698 for the attractiveness scale value, 1.547 for perspicuity scale, 1.552 for efficiency scale, 1.692 for dependability scale, 1.721 for stimulation scale, and 1.921 for novelty scale. Based on UEQ benchmark scale comparison, the scale of attractiveness, efficiency, dependability, and novelty obtained the “good” category. Meanwhile, the perspicuity scale obtained the “above average” category, while the stimulation scale obtained the “excellent” category.

Abstract

Fokus Solusi Utama is a company engaged in information technology that uses the website as a marketing medium. Based on observations and pre-research interview results there are shortcomings of the website, including content structuring problems, inconsistencies between content, image size, and others. Excavation of the problem is also done to the web design, where the company needs an improvement of the website in terms of appearance. This research aims to evaluate the current website as well as provide improvement recommendations to improve the company's branding. The methods used are usability testing and heuristic evaluation. The usability testing method was conducted on 5 respondents based on work background and age. The heuristic evaluation method is done to 4 expert level double and 1 expert level regular, the results obtained from this study are complete because it is obtained from experts and users. Based on the evaluation results, the problems found were 62 problems. The improvement recommendations follow U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) guidelines and expert solutions, after prioritizing recommendations produced 33 recommendations using prototypes and 10 functionality recommendations, a much-changed section that is website navigation and home page. After the improvement recommendations are given, a final test is conducted to compare the value before and after the evaluation, the results obtained are the learnability, efficiency, and satisfaction components have improved, and the error component has decreased.

Abstract

Persela Store is a retail unit formed as the Official Store of the Persela Lamongan football club which aims to increase product sales and income from the team and make it easier for Persela Lamongan fans (suppourter) to get information and purchases about the latest products from Persela. Through interviews with stakeholders or the person in charge of the Persela Store, a problem was found, namely the Persela Store website since it was first launched in 2018 has never been evaluated and improved at all so that it has an impact on the number of visitors who shop through the Persela Store website which is very few and less than optimal. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of differences in user satisfaction before the evaluation of the improvements and after the evaluation of the design of the solutions. Based on the problems found, this study will evaluate using Tree Testing to assess website navigation based on aspects including Success Rate, First Click, Directness, Time Spent, and Destination. In evaluating user satisfaction displays will use the System Usability Scale (SUS) which aims to determine the value of user satisfaction based on the value of Aspectibility Ranges, Grade Scale, Adjective Range, and Percentile Rank. In designing the solution design through the Close Card Sorting method as a reference for the structure of determining the layout of the website flow based on the expectations of the user, with the final result a sitemap and in accordance with usability guidelines. This research process as a whole applies the Human Centered Design (HCD) approach where each process coordinates and gets approval from stakeholders and users. The final results and conclusions in this study are evaluation values ​​based on user testing, recommendations for improvement designs based on user expectations with usability guidelines in the form of Prototype High Fidelity. The results of the final evaluation of the Success Rate value of 100%, Dirrectness 95.55%, Time Spent 4.13 seconds, First Click 100%, Destination 100%, and an increase in user satisfaction values ​​based on the increase in Acceptability Ranges values, namely Acceptable, Grade Scale category B, Adjective Rating for the Best Imaginable category, and Percentile Rank for category A.

Abstract

In this age, the use of technology is increasing, including internet usage. Internet make a lot of changes in many aspect of life, one of which is education. During the current pandemic, where teaching and learning process have to use e-learning. In general, e-learning that often use is Google Classroom. Location of this research are in SMK Negeri 2 Kupang. The purpose of this research is to find out he factors that support on the acceptance of technology at SMK Negeri 2 Kupang. The concept of this research are to analysis factor using technology acceptance model (TAM) questionnaire, which consists of 7 factors: complexity, self-efficacy, time limiting, usability, ease of use, intention and ease of use technology. Methodology that was used in this study, are by formulate hypotheses and path analysts to analyze the connection between factors. Based on the results of hypotheses and path analysts, can be concluded that factor of complexity, time constraints, ease of use, and intention affect ease of use, and self-efficacy has no effect on ease of use.

Abstract

The android application is one of the supporters of today's digital education applications. According to the results of direct interviews conducted by researchers with one of the Computer Network Engineering teachers at SMKN 3 Malang, it can be concluded that the lack of computer learning media facilities and the limited number of students who have laptops are a problem when the teacher teaches basic programming lessons. To solve problems when the learning process takes place Learn C ++ is a solution application from the teacher, to learn programming and writing code. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of usability Learn C ++ and make recommendations for improvements from the user. The method used is Usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. Based on the research conducted, it was found 7 problems, and provided 7 recommendations for improvement solutions, the conclusions obtained increase the parameter values ​​of efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction. Where on the old interface the effectiveness rate was 90.4%, then on the new interface it increased to 100%. The efficiency level of the mean number of touch value in the first evaluation got a value of 3.7 while in the second evaluation it got a value of 3.02, therefore, it can be seen that there is a decrease of 0.68 which means that the recommendation for interface improvements given gives better application efficiency. The satisfaction obtained through the first evaluation received a value of 67%, while the second evaluation received a value of 76%. Experienced an increase in value of 18%, which means that respondents are more satisfied with the recommendations for interface improvements given.

Abstract

The National Library of Indonesia through the Data and Information Center (Pusdatin) in collaboration with Aksaramaya has a mission to make continuous improvements to the iPusnas application with the target of the iPusnas application version 2.0, with a new face that focuses more on user needs. This research was conducted to assist the National Library of Indonesia and Aksaramaya in providing recommendations for improving the user interface design of mobile-based applications on the Android platform using the Human Centered Design (HCD) approach supported by the think aloud method during the usability evaluation. Recommendations for improvements are made through the inspiration and ideation phases of the HCD approach. The inspiration phase focuses on finding usability problems that exist in the current iPusnas application by conducting a usability evaluation involving 15 participants. The results of the usability evaluation of the iPusnas application in the inspiration phase resulted in 11 main problems found by the participants. Giving solution ideas in the ideation phase resulted in a wireframe design for 21 features that needed to be improved, with the results of the wireframe evaluation there were 6 problems that were still felt by the participants. The final result of the research in the form of recommendations for user interface improvements is obtained after conducting an evaluation which found 11 problems in the user interface design which were made based on the results of the evaluation of the wireframe.

Abstract

News and opinion portal website Mojok.co continues to experience a downgrade in its quality that cost many loss like a decrease in total visitor of the website and still lost to the other competitor in news and opinion portal . Other than quality issues Mojok.co also want to create a strong engagement with the reader and through fullfilling a good customer satisfaction. So this research focussing on two main things which is measure website quality of Mojok.co and anlyze if a website quality have an significant impact on customer satisfaction. To measure website quality then it is used WebQual 4.0 then the results will be map on Importance-Performance Analysis. This research use 3 independent variable which is usability, information quality and service interaction quality. There is also one dependent variabel customer satisfaction. The result of the measurement using 100 responden show that 6 attribute statement included in IPA first kuadran and 4 attribute statement included in IPA third kuadran. Regresson analysis conducted a constant for each WebQual dimension in the amount of 0, 233; 0,136; and 0,068 for each dimension usability, information quality and service interaction quality. The T Test conducted that usability and information quality dimension influence customer satisfaction partially, and F Test conducted that all dimensions in WebQual influence customer satisfaction by together. From the result of the influence analysis can be concluded that the improvement must be prioritized based on gap analysis and its dimension in order usability, information quality, and service interaction quality.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has disabled face-to-face activities, including education. SDN Wates is one of the educational institutions whose learning process has changed to online. SDN Wates chose to use a messaging application as a means of learning and disseminating information. The absence of face-to-face meetings between teachers and students has an impact on the decline in student grades. Teachers also have difficulty in carrying out the learning process, making report cards, and obtaining school information. Starting from these problems, we need media that can support online learning. Using e-learning as a learning medium cannot be applied because only 30% of teachers and 9.7% of students have laptops. The purpose of this study is to propose a design solution that can solve the problems experienced and adapted to existing limitations. User experience design is needed to create a well-accepted interface and function. The method used is design thinking to find solutions to problems by considering needs, technology limitations, and business needs. The results of the evaluation using usability testing on teachers get results of 83.% and students by 87.3%. The results of the User Experience Questionnaire - Short (UEQ-S) on teachers and students got overall results, namely the Good category. It can be concluded that the solution design provides a positive perception of usability, experience, and suitability of the solution design to user problems.

Abstract

Nubek Coffee is a business that sells various types of coffee and other menu, where Nubek Coffee using internet to increase sales of its products. But in practice it did not work optimally, and sometimes found the problems, especially in serving customers and supplies with online systems. Based on this constraints, this research requires an information system design that is easy to use, and gives a comfortable experience to users, and can meet user needs. This research using the Human Centered Design method as a research method. The result of this research is a high-fidelity prototype. The evaluation of the solution design using the Usability Testing method and USE Questionnaire to manage the evaluation data. The prototype evaluation was testing 2 times, and in the second stage evaluation using 2 different design alternatives were applied. First solution design, found 12 problems on 10 pages from system. While in second design solution first alternative found 4 problems and the second alternative design solution found 2 problems. The usability appearance of the second solution design is better than the first stage solution design, although it needs to be made improvements. The conclusion of this research based on four indicators of the usability value obtained reach a value in the proper category and the system is in accordance with user needs in terms of Usefulness, Ease of Use, Ease of Learning, and Satisfaction.

Abstract

Lembaga Bimbingan Belajar Masterprima is a company engaged in the educational field that has a website to help students or the public who want to find information about tutoring easily. However, this website has several problems, like the inconsistent content layout and the arrangement of tryout score information is too tight and small. The study includes evaluation and improvement of existing problems using the Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach. This study aims to produce a design solution that meets the aspects of usability learnability, efficiency, error, and satisfaction by using the help of the Indonesian Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ). In the initial test, the learnability value was 72.2%, efficiency was 51.1%, satisfaction was 76%, and error was 22.2%. The results become a reference for making design solutions that can improve the usability score of the website. The design solution then tested in the final test and obtain an increase in the value of learnability by 16.7%, efficiency by 33.2%, satisfaction by 7%, and a decrease in error value by 12.5%. From the comparison results of the initial and final tests, it is known that the design solution has succeeded in increasing the usability value of the Masterprima website.
