Abstract

This research is motivated by the limitations of media and learning resources in learning civic education material on the socio-cultural diversity of society. The purpose of this research is to develop powtoon media based on Kendal local wisdom and test its feasibility and effectiveness. This type of research uses Research and development (R&D) with the research subject of fifth grade students of SDN 1 Gonoharjo, Kendal district. Product trials were conducted in two stages with sampling techniques using purposive sampling techniques, namely small-scale product trials involving 9 students and large-scale product trials involving 24 students. Observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests are data collection techniques used by researchers, and for data analysis techniques researchers use product feasibility analysis, initial and final data analysis consisting of T-tests and N-gain tests. The results showed through feasibility validation that powtoon media based on Kendal local wisdom was feasible to use as a learning media with a percentage of 100% media validation assessment, 96.4% material expert validation, 92.5% language expert validation, the three validations were included in the criteria very feasible. Kendal's local wisdom-based powtoon media is also effective in learning civic education as evidenced by the t-test whose results show a sig. (2tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05 then, ho is rejected and ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant difference between pretest and posttest learning outcomes in civic education learning through the powtoon media. The effectiveness of powtoon media is also reinforced through the n-gain test which shows an average increase of 0.626 with a difference of 35.83 with moderate criteria.

Abstract

The lack of social studies learning media has an impact on low student learning outcomes. This research aims to develop powtoon learning media containing local wisdom to improve elementary school social studies learning outcomes. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg and Gall development model.  This research involved media experts and material experts. The test subjects for this research were 26 elementary school IV student participants. Data collection were carried out using interviews, observation, documentation, questionnaires and tests. This research uses questionnaire instruments and test questions in data collection. The data collected was analyzed using qualitative, quantitative, and t-test descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that Powtoon learning media containing local wisdom was declared "very feasible" by media experts with a percentage of 96.8% and a percentage of 95% by material experts. The responses given by students received a percentage of 95% which was included in the "very appropriate" category. The t-test results show a significant difference between the learning outcomes of pre-test and post-test data. It can be concluded that the innovation of Powtoon learning media containing local wisdom in social studies learning, especially class IV economic activities, can improve social studies learning outcomes for class IV students. This research has implications for improving student learning outcomes and the effectiveness of learning through Powtoon media containing local wisdom in social studies learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The use of learning models and media that are not in accordance with the 2013 Curriculum has an impact on the low learning outcomes of students. This study examines the effectiveness of the Microsoft Sway-assisted Problem-Based Learning Model on learning outcomes in fifth-grade science at elementary school of Gugus Kartini Mejobo Kudus compared to the Direct Instruction Model. This research is included in the type of experimental research with a quasi-experimental research design in the form of a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were 95 fifth-grade students at elementary school of Gugus Kartini, Mejobo District, Kudus Regency using purposive sampling techniques. In this study, Elementary School 1 Payaman served as the experimental class and Elementary School 1 Gulang as the control class. Data collection techniques using test techniques (pretest and posttest); and non-test techniques with observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques include initial data analysis by normality and homogeneity tests and final data analysis by t-test and N-Gain tests. The t-test results obtained a sig value of 0.000, less than 0.05. So that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This is supported by the N-Gain test results for the experimental class of 0.45 and control classes of 0.35. So, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning Model assisted by Microsoft Sway is more effective than the Direct Instruction Model for science learning outcomes in fifth grade elementary school.

Abstract

The lack of use of Student Worksheets (known with LKPD) at SDN Demaan has an impact on student learning outcomes. This research is Research and Development which refers to the Borg and Gall model. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of liveworksheet-based E-LKPD. The population in this study amounted to 30 with 8 small-scale test subjects in VB class students and 22 large-scale test subjects in VA class SD Negeri Demaan. Data collection techniques used test techniques (pretest-posttest) and non-tests in the form of observations, questionnaires, interview results, and document data. The validation results by the material, media, and language expert validators show that the liveworksheet-based E-LKPD has met the valid criteria. Based on the results of the pretest-posttest, it is known that the E-LKPD based on liveworksheets is effective for improving student learning outcomes as indicated by the results of an increase in the average pretest score by 57 to, and 84 during the posttest and the n gain test results obtained <g> gain value of 0 .62 in the medium category. Based on the results of the response questionnaire that was distributed, a very positive response was obtained from teachers and students. From these results, it can be concluded that the E-LKPD based on liveworksheets is effective for improving science learning outcomes and is feasible and practical to use in the learning of class V students at SD Negeri Demaan.

Abstract

The limitations of learning media, especially technology-based, make students passive so they feel bored and less interested in learning. This results in low student learning outcomes. This research aims to develop and test the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of Android-based interactive media in the IPAS subject, fifth grade elementary school interaction material. This type of research is developed using the Borg and Gall model. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, document data, tests, and questionnaires. The validation results by media expert validators were 91.3% and material experts were 91.2%, so an average of 91.25% met the valid criteria. Based on the pretest and posttest results, it is known that Android-based interactive media is effective in improving student learning outcomes as seen from the effectiveness of the t-test and N-gain tests. The t-test shows that Sig. < 0.05, meaning there is a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after treatment. The N-gain test shows a high criterion, namely 0.73 on a small scale, and a medium criterion, namely 0.59 on a large scale. Based on the results of the response questionnaire distributed, a very positive response was obtained from teachers and students. From these results, it can be concluded that Android-based interactive media is effective for improving the learning outcomes of IPAS as well as feasible and practical to use in the learning of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The lack of innovation in learning media at SDN Lumbungmas 01 impacts student learning outcomes. This research is of the RnD (Research and Development) type, referring to the Borg and Gall model. The purpose of this study is to test the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of developing e-comic media assisted by video. The population used consists of 12 students from class VB on a small scale and 22 students from class VA on a large scale at SDN Lumbangmas 01, totaling 34 students. Data collection techniques include tests and non-tests. The test technique involves pretests and posttests, while non-test techniques involve interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation data. The feasibility scores given by media, material, and language expert validators show that the development of e-comic media meets the criteria for being highly feasible with scores of 90% (very feasible), 90% (very feasible), and 70% (feasible), respectively, resulting in an average of 83.3% (very feasible). The practicality of media development, assessed through questionnaires, indicates it is highly practical. Based on pretest and posttest results, the e-comic media development meets the criteria for effectiveness. This is evident from the effectiveness analyzed through the t-test and N-gain test. The t-test shows that Sig. < 0.05, meaning there is a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after treatment. The N-gain test shows high criteria, with 0.6182 on a small scale and 0.7173 on a large scale. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of e-comic media assisted by video is feasible, practical, and effective for use in learning for fifth-grade students at SDN Lumbungmas 01
