Abstract

Statistical pattern recognition is the process of using statistical techniques to obtain information and make informed decisions based on data measurements. It is possible to solve the doubt inherent in the objective function of the 2-Dimension Linear Discriminant Analysis by employing the symmetrical 2-Dimension Linear Discriminant Analysis approach. Symmetrical 2-dimensional linear discriminant analysis has found widespread use as a method of introducing handwritten capital letters. Symmetric 2-DLDA, according to Symmetric 2-DLDA, produces better and more accurate results than Symmetric 2-DLDA. So far, pattern recognition has been based solely on computer knowledge, with no connection to statistical measurements, such as data variation and Euclidean distance, particularly in symmetrical images. As a result, the aim of this research is to create algorithms for recognizing capital letter patterns in a wide range of handwriting. The ADL2-D symmetric method is used in this study as the development of the ADL2-D method. The research results in an algorithm that considers the left and right sides of the image matrix, as opposed to ADL2-D, which does not consider the left and right sides of the image matrix. Abstract

The student graduation information system is integral to managing and carrying out school information system activities. Especially in Junior High Schools (SMP) today, many still have not used a website-based information system due to the new internet network entering this area. In meeting the admin’s need, in particular, to deal with the problem of passing the distribution of receiving information or announcements, documentation of activities, teaching materials, and registration of new student participants have not run optimally as expected. In the system development method in this research, the author uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model approach, which consists of 5 stages: analysis, design, implementation, testing, and implementation. The system design tool uses the UML (Unified Modeling Language) method using use-case diagrams according to system requirements. In developing the SDLC method in this study, the authors used it until the design stage. The results obtained from this research are a Web-based application system for new students’ graduation. With this tool, several related files will be generated. This new system can improve the quality of further student admissions, graduation information and school information through the website.

Abstract

The selection of superior food crop commodities at the regional level is very important to sup-port agricultural development policies, but it is often carried out without comprehensive strategic analysis, risking less accurate decisions. The objective of this research is to establish the superior commodities of the food crop subsector in Langkat Regency based on regional contributions and a number of strategic criteria. The methods used include Location Quotient (LQ) to measure the region's comparative advantage based on production contribution, as well as Fuzzy ARAS to evaluate seven commodities based on ten strategic criteria with expert assessment using triangular fuzzy numbers. The results show that rice is the base commodity in 13 districts and has the highest contribution distribution. However, soybeans have become the superior commodity with the highest relative utility value (1.029), followed by cassava (1.015) and rice (0.983). The LQ and Fuzzy ARAS methods have proven effective in supporting the de-termination of superior commodities based on local potential.

Abstract

This study emphasises the application of mathematical and computational modelling to support multi-criteria decision-making in the selection of online transportation services. Using Microsoft Excel, the research employs the Weighted Product (WP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods to assess alternatives based on six quantitative criteria: price, promotion, service variety, payment method, convenience, and punctuality. The integrated application of WP and TOPSIS provides a systematic process of normalisation, weighting, and ranking to determine the optimal alternative. The findings indicate that GOJEK achieves the highest preference value (0.6107), followed by GRAB (0.5533), IN-DRIVE (0.5000), and MAXIM (0.3893). The methodological contribution of this research lies in demonstrating how the integration of WP and TOPSIS within computational tools establishes an effective mathematical framework for optimising decision-making in service evaluation.

Abstract

Pengembangan UMKM halal menjadi aspek strategis dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat desa sekaligus memastikan terpenuhinya prinsip-prinsip syariah dalam proses produksi dan konsumsi. Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) yang dilaksanakan di Desa Bangun Purba, Kecamatan Bangun Purba, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, berfokus pada pendampingan UMKM local khususnya usaha makanan kaki lima “Sun Burger & Kebab” milik Ibu Sumitri yang telah memiliki sertifikat halal namun masih mengalami keterbatasan dalam pemasaran digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi prinsip ekonomi syariah melalui penguatan branding halal dan optimalisasi strategi pemasaran media sosial. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi lapangan, sosialisasi produk halal, pembuatan identitas visual halal desa, serta pelatihan pemasaran berbasis Facebook sebagai platform yang paling aktif digunakan masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa branding halal desa mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen, sedangkan pelatihan pemasaran digital berdampak pada meningkatnya interaksi pelanggan dan jumlah pesanan. Selain itu, masyarakat menunjukkan respons positif terhadap sosialisasi produk halal dan pemahaman ekonomi syariah. Namun, kegiatan ini juga menghadapi kendala berupa rendahnya literasi digital masyarakat serta akses internet yang tidak stabil. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berkontribusi dalam memperkuat kapasitas UMKM halal desa serta memperluas jangkauan pemasaran sesuai prinsip ekonomi syariah, sekaligus memberikan model pengabdian masyarakat yang relevan dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to seek optimization of rice planting costs using the method Kuhn Tucker. The method used in this research is method Kuhn Tucker. Method Kuhn Tucker is a method used to find the optimum point of a function without having to look at its linear or nonlinear properties. The solution to this method is to substitute it into the method Lagrange and must be given sufficient conditions Kuhn Tucker. Abstract

This study proposes a decision support framework for determining eligibility for Indonesia’s Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) using the Evaluation Based on Distance from Average Solution (EDAS) method. Seven criteria derived from national social welfare policy were weighted using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), achieving a consistency ratio of 0.038. The model was applied to 98 household alternatives in Air Merah Village. The resulting assessment scores ranged from 0.0119to 0.7866. A Monte Carlo sensitivity analysis with 5,000 iterations under ±10% ±15% weight perturbations yielded a high Spearman rank correlation (rho = 0.91,95% CI [0.89, 0.93]), indicating strong ranking stability. The EDAS results showed 78% agreement with manual village selection and 80% alignment within the top-20 priority group. The proposed framework reduces subjectivity and improves transparency in beneficiary selection. Limitations include the cross-sectional design and single-location data. The model is scalable and suitable for broader policy implementation.

Abstract

Population growth is an important indicator in regional development planning because it influences the provision of public services, infrastructure development, and policy formulation. Accurate population estimation is therefore essential to support data-driven decision-making by local governments. This study aims to estimate the population growth rate of Serdang Bedagai Regency by applying data mining techniques using the Multiple Linear Regression method. The data used were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Serdang Bedagai Regency for the period 2019–2023 and include the number of male and female residents. The research process involved several stages, including data collection, data preprocessing, model development, and statistical analysis. Based on the analysis, a regression model was obtained with the equation Y = 0 + 1.5558X1 + 0.4367X2, where Y represents the total population, X1 represents the number of male residents, and X2 represents the number of female residents. The results indicate an estimated population of 683,056 people in 2024, showing an increase compared to the previous year. These findings suggest that the Multiple Linear Regression method can provide reliable population estimates and serve as a useful reference for supporting evidence-based regional development planning and population management strategies in Serdang Bedagai Regency.

Abstract

Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) is a broad concept that includes physical, mental, emotional, and social aspects of well-being. Because different generations often view health in distinct ways, this study compared HRQoL among Generations X, Y, and Z in Medan using a quantitative, cross-sectional design. The main goal was to test and validate the factor structure of the SF-36 questionnaire and examine whether it measures HRQoL consistently across these groups through Multi-Group Confirmatory Factor Analysis (MG-CFA). The initial analysis supported a reliable four-factor model with 12 items covering Physical Functioning, Role Limitations due to Physical Health, Emotional Well-being, and Role Limitations due to Emotional Health. This model showed strong convergent validity. However, further testing revealed that the SF-36 does not maintain structural equivalence across the three generations, indicating that people interpret its items differently depending on their generational cohort. This finding highlights a key methodological issue: direct comparisons of HRQoL scores across generations are statistically invalid without adjustments. As a result, researchers must apply partial invariance techniques or refine the model before making meaningful cross-generational comparisons.

Abstract

The development of digital payments in Indonesia has increased the complexity of selecting an e-wallet that aligns with user preferences. This study proposes a hybrid DSS integrating AHP and Profile Matching, enhanced by a proportional transformation of AHP weights into ideal values. Unlike conventional approaches that subjectively determine ideal values, this method ensures consistency between criteria weighting and suitability evaluation, thereby reducing bias and improving ranking stability. Data from 100 students across four universities indicate that security dominates (46%), followed by convenience & access (25%), and features & cost (29%), indicating that risk reduction and trust are key adoption factors, in line with technology acceptance theory. OVO achieved the highest score. The hybrid framework reduces subjective bias in ideal-value assignment and improves ranking stability compared to standalone AHP or Profile Matching applications. These findings provide methodological contributions and practical implications for fintech providers.
