Abstract

Several sub-districts are cities that are pretty or even very vulnerable to flood disasters. Therefore, the Government must observe which areas are highly prone to flooding to anticipate safety precautions. One of the relevant methods for handling this case is k-means clustering using the Silhouette Coefficient and Davies-Bouldin Index evaluation. This research uses a quantitative approach using the Silhouette Coefficient and Davies Bouldin Index Analysis method. Based on the research that has been carried out, the results can be obtained that cluster 1 consists of the sub-districts of Medan Polonia, Medan Johor, Medan Selayang, Medan Baru, Medan Tuntungan and Medan Barat. Cluster 2 only has one member, namely the Medan Maimun sub-district; Cluster 3 consists of Medan Sunggal and Medan Belawan sub-districts, and Cluster 4 consists of Medan Marelan, Medan Helvetia and Medan Timur sub-districts. The results of the clustering evaluation that was carried out obtained a Silhouette Coefficient value of 0.505539942 and a Davies-Bouldin Index value of 0.30055. This means that the grouping carried out in this research is accurate.

Abstract

Pneumonia is a lung infection that causes inflammation in the air sacs within the lungs. This disease is caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, or even inhaled substances. This study aims to identify significant factors influencing the incidence of pneumonia in children under five years old in North Sumatra Province in 2022. In this case, the dependent variable has an excessive number of zero values (excess Zero), leading to overdispersion. By using the Zero Inflated Negative Binomial (ZINB) regression method, significant factors affecting the incidence of pneumonia in children under five years old in North Sumatra Province were identified. The study found that the variable of the number of low birth weight babies (BBLR) (X5) significantly influences the incidence of the disease in North Sumatra Province in 2022. It can be seen from the significant variables affecting the occurrence of pneumonia in children under five, which are 0.0406% (X1), 0.00952% (X2), 0.006506% (X3), and 2.122% (X4).

Abstract

Poverty is one of the problems in Indonesia's complex and fundamental economy. Poverty is a condition where a person is unable to fulfill his basic needs. Solutions need to be found to overcome or at least reduce poverty. To overcome the problem of poverty, indicators need to be considered that affect poverty levels. In this study poverty is seen through two dimensions, namely Health Quality and Economic Quality. This research was conducted to determine poverty indicators based on dimensions of health quality and economic quality with the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) method. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is used unidimensionally to identify indicator variables that can measure health and economic quality. The analysis used was 25 districts and 8 cities in North Sumatra Province. The results showed that health quality can be measured through 10 indicators and economic quality can be measured also through 10 indicators

Abstract

Survival analysis is a statistical procedure for analyzing data by observing the response variable in the form of event time data from the beginning of recording to the end of the event. Survival analysis is used in many fields of medicine. The cox proportional hazard model aims to look at the factors of the recovery rate on patient survival. In this study using Bayesian data with Lognormal distribution in Covid-19 patients at Dr. Pirngadi, Medan City. The predictor variables are Age, gender, employment status, and other diagnose. Based on the research, the cox proportional hazard model was obtained  with the influential variables based on the credible interval it is known that the age and genderare significant variables. Among the two variables that have the most influence is the age because it obtains a larger coefficient, namely

Abstract

Regional Own Revenue is all revenue from the government at the regional level in a certain period, usually in a period of one fiscal year. There are several factors that can be used to increase Local Own Revenue. The factors used in this study are gross regional domestic product, number of tourists and restaurant taxes. This research was carried out using panel data analysis which is a combination of cross-sectional data (Districts/Cities in North Sumatra) and also time series (Regional Original Income 2015-2020). The best model obtained is the random effect model. From the value of Regional Original Income and these three factors, it was found that the results of Regional Original Revenue in North Sumatra had increased in 2015-2018, but in 2019-2020 Regional Original Revenue in North Sumatra had decreased. The variable that has a positive effect and also has a significant effect on Regional Original Income is the restaurant tax variable. The R2 value of this model is 0.78634, which means that the ability of the Restaurant Tax variable to explain the Regency/City Local Revenue variable in North Sumatra Province is 78.634%, while the remaining 21.366% is explained by other factors not included in the model.
