Abstract

The growth of the productive age population has continued to increase since 1971 and looks more significant in 2020. In 2010, the youth age group (16-30 years) reached 62.343.755. The population consists of 31.244.215 men and 31.099.540 women. In 2020, the youth age group will increase to 64.470.655 people, with 32.949.184 men and 31.529.270 women. The number of male youth is greater than the number of female youth. However, in 2020, youth health conditions worsened. Many young people experience severe stress and commit suicide due to depression. This will be one of the causes of the decline in young people in Indonesia. Since the Elandt-Johnson interpolation method provides reliable estimates for adult mortality, this study aims to obtain a more accurate, complete life table for Indonesian youth by applying the Elandt-Johnson interpolation method based on the Coale-Demeny West model a-bridged life table, using secondary data from the 2010 and 2020 Population Censuses provided by Statistics Indonesia. From the research results, it is known that the number of young men who survive until the age of 30 is 94.444 and young women who survive until the age of 30 is 95.724, meaning that the number of young women who survive is higher than young men, this means that the number of deaths of young men is higher than that of young women.

Abstract

Efficiency in the distribution process is crucial for companies to reduce operational costs while maintaining service satisfaction. This research aims to optimize the product delivery route for the Keripik Cinta Mas Hendro business by applying the Clarke and Wright Savings algorithm approach to solve the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). This method works by calculating the distance savings from combining distribution points, then constructing optimal routes based on the order of highest savings while still considering vehicle capacity. The data used consists of customer coordinates, which are processed into distances between locations using the Euclidean formula. The results show that the distribution route, which was initially divided into three lanes with a total length of 403.54 km, can be simplified into two lanes with a total length of 272 km. This study proves that the Clarke and Wright Savings algorithm is able to provide a more cost-effective distribution solution. Abstract

Due to variations in vehicle capacity, Bagol Hydroponics UMKM has trouble figuring out cost-effective and distance-efficient product distribution routes. For this reason, this study uses the Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) approach to solve the Heterogeneous Fleet Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (HFCVRP). This study is a quantitative applied research project that uses distance data from the Google Maps API to create a mathematical model and the best distribution route using IBM ILOG CPLEX software. The MILP model is designed to decrease the overall distance driven by automobiles while taking sub-trip elimination and vehicle capacity limitations into account. The results demonstrate that the MILP model can provide optimal distribution routes with efficient calculation time and an average distance savings of 1.74% when compared to current routes. Therefore, it has been demonstrated that applying the MILP approach to the HFCVRP problem improves the distribution efficiency of Bagol Hidroponik UMKM products. This can serve as a guide for other UMKM in order to create the most efficient delivery routes.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that remains a serious problem in Indonesia due to its spread and imbalanced data in cases. This study aims to compare the performance of Random Forest and Gradient Boosting algorithms in classifying tuberculosis in imbalanced data. The methods used include the application of the Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) as a data balancing method, as well as model evaluation using the metrics of accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity, and AUC. The results show that Gradient Boosting without SMOTE produces the best performance with an accuracy of 93% and an AUC of 0.91, while the application of SMOTE actually reduces the performance of the model. Meanwhile, Random Forest showed stable results in both conditions with an accuracy of 93% and an AUC of 0.89. Thus, it can be concluded that Gradient Boosting without SMOTE provides the most optimal classification results and can be the basis for developing classification methods for Imbalanced Data in tuberculosis. Abstract

Waste problems often occur in big cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Yogyakarta and Semarang. Urban waste is waste produced by human activities in urban areas, including various types of materials such as plastic, paper, metal and organic materials. Therefore, waste needs to be collected, transported and disposed of immediately to prevent negative impacts on the environment. With the increase in population in urban areas, it is likely that the amount of waste will also increase. The solution that can be used to solve this problem is to optimize the distance using a dynamic programming model forward recursive equation algorithm. The application of dynamic programming can be used to solve various problems such as determining the shortest distance, optimal flow, task or resource scheduling, production planning, network optimization, and problems in research and development projects. Based on determining the optimal route for transporting waste in Medan Johor District using the dynamic programming algorithm forward recursive equation model, the total distance is 26,2km.
