Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang kemunculan teknologi 4G-LTE di Indonesia dan tantangan konvergensi media di Indonesia, dimana pada saat ini teknologi 4G-LTE mulai diterapkan di Indonesia, khususnya kawasan Jabodetabek sejak 2013 yang lalu. Kecepatan bandwith koneksi Internet dengan menggunakan teknologi 4G-LTE yang konon mampu mencapai 10 kali lipat kecepatan akses 3G mendorong penerapan konvergensi media di Indonesia. Kemunculan teknologi 4G-LTE membuka kesempatan luas bagi munculnya media-media baru di Indonesia dan memberikan tantangan untuk melakukan konvergensi media yang telah ada. Khalayak cukup memiliki satu perangkat dengan teknologi 4G-LTE untuk mengakses semua bentuk komunikasi nirkabel dan semua bentuk media massa yang ada saat ini. Tipe penelitian menggunakan interpretatif kualitatif. Fokus penelitian ini adalah analisis isi pada pemberitaan mengenai penerapan teknologi 4G LTE di Indonesia dan konvergensi media dalam kurun waktu satu tahun terakhir (November 2013 – Oktober 2014) pada media online Kompas Tekno. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode analisis isi dengan paradigma atau pendekatan konstruksionis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Analisis wacana model Krippendorff yang mencoba mengungkapkan nilai-nilai (values) yang berkembang dalam pemikiran pembuat teks untuk memberikan informasi atau wawasan tentang sesuatu hal yang prinsipil yang disampaikan secara tidak langsung.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi membuat penggunaan media sosial tidak dapat dipisahkan dalam kehidupan masyarakat sehari-hari. Di Indonesia, instansi pemerintahan di tingkat pusat dan tingkat daerah sudah secara perlahan mulai memanfaatkan media sosial Instagram sebagai sarana komunikasi publik. Pemanfaatan Instagram dinilai dapat menjangkau masyarakat secara lebih dekat dan dapat mengoptimalkan keterlibatan publik yang akhirnya meningkatkan ekuitas merek institusi pemerintah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan media sosial Instagram terhadap ekuitas merek yang terdiri dari dimensi-dimensi brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality, dan brand loyalty Badan Pusat Statistik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksplanatori, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan secara non-probability sampling dengan teknik convenience pada followers media sosial Instagram @bps_statistics. Kuesioner menjadi alat instrumen utama dalam pengumpulan data dengan skala Likert 1-5 dalam bentuk google form. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana dengan menggunakan SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial Instagram @bps_statistics berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap dimensi-dimensi ekuitas merek, yaitu brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality, dan brand loyalty.

Abstract

The Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) is a legislative body representing the votes of the vast majority of the populace, and its members are answerable to it. Legislature members have duties, responsibilities, and rights that must be carried out at work. However, DPRD encounters several issues that make carrying out these duties difficult. This study's objectives include examining the Regional House of Representatives Government Communication regarding the formulation of regional regulations in Indonesia, the challenges faced by DPRD members in converting regional regulations draft (Raperda) into regional regulations (Perda), and the DPRD's model for formulating policy in Indonesia. In this work, qualitative research is combined with an empirical legal methodology. Under natural circumstances, data were gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. This study concludes that the government communication of the Raperda formulation in the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD follows the Prudential Principle or is done with extreme caution. The DPRD's use of the precautionary principle can be compared to Dunn's idea of forecasting, namely projection. Discussions around developing proposed regional rules almost always involve challenges and issues. Since political influence is crucial, all efforts will be made in this vein.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the communication strategy is carried out in the process of ordering badminton sports facilities at the Lodaya Sports Hall in Bandung City with an Exploratory Case Study Approach. The aspects studied included knowing how the communication strategy was carried out, why the communication strategy was used, knowing how the evaluation was carried out, and knowing why optimization needed to be done in the process of ordering badminton sports facilities at Lodaya Sports Hall, Bandung City. This study used a qualitative research approach with an exploratory case study research method. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and observation. Then a technical triangulation technique was carried out to test the validity of the research data. The results of the study show that the Lodaya Sports Hall in Bandung City applies an offline communication strategy to the process of ordering badminton sports facilities. This strategy was carried out because the managers of the Lodaya Sports Hall in Bandung City felt they could trust customers who came directly to the field and there were limited resources on the part of the manager. The evaluation was carried out by the manager of GOR Lodaya Bandung City with the results of the evaluation showing that there was a negative effect received by the customer. Customers feel that there are limitations to accessibility and efficiency of the ordering schedule, as well as that there is an uneven implementation of the transparency of the ordering system which results in difficulty ordering badminton sports facilities. Optimization is needed to fulfill the objectives of GOR Lodaya Bandung City, which is to provide badminton sports facilities for all levels of society.

Abstract

This research delves into the prospects and obstacles associated with utilizing large-scale data in developing public policies within the Indonesian context. Integrating big data technology holds promise as a tool for government agencies aiming to refine the public policy formulation process, ultimately providing enhanced services to the populace. Despite its inherent complexity and costliness, incorporating big data offers the government a means to furnish the most up-to-date, precise, and granular information pertinent to developmental issues. For instance, in the agricultural sector, big data can offer an intricate understanding of the diverse requirements of farmers in distinct regions, such as the differentiation between rice varieties sought by farmers in Kalimantan compared to those in Java. Furthermore, the expansive reservoirs of geophysical and meteorological big data hold the capacity to significantly bolster the government's initiatives concerning natural disaster mitigation policies. Nonetheless, the practical integration of big data still needs to be improved by a dearth of comprehensive regulations governing its application. Additionally, the perils of recurrent data breaches in the Indonesian context pose a formidable challenge. This comprehensive analysis concludes that using big data in policy formulation within Indonesia encounters substantial hurdles that threaten to overshadow the potential advantages this technology could offer in enhancing public policy crafting.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the reasons for the use of Instagram social media by Bittersweet by Najla, how it is used as a form of promotional activity, to the constraints on its use. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach and uses data collection techniques by interviews, observation, and documentation,. The key informants in this study are consist of two informants, with two informants as the main informant, and there is also four informants as supporting informants from Instagram followers of @bittersweet_by_najla as well as consumers and Instagram followers of @bittersweet_by_najla who are not consumers. Then, data analysis uses the Miles & Hubberman analysis technique which consist of three things, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results of the study show that there are several reasons driving the use of Instagram social media by Bittersweet by Najla as a promotional medium, cost efficiency, easy operation and maximum features, the right social media platform to do promotion in the culinary field, fit Bittersweet by Najla's market segmentation, and the promising advertising features (Instagram Ads). Then it is also found in the management of Instagram social media Bittersweet by Najla which studies by use of Chris Heuer's Social Media Marketing concept with four elements in it namely context, communication, collaboration, connection it was found that the management of Instagram Bittersweet by Najla fulfilled these four elements as promotional media. However, it was found that these four elements complement each other, if there is one element that is not optimal it will affect the decline in sales and the existence of Bittersweet by Najla in the community. In addition, obstacles were also found in this study. This research is expected to produce an Instagram social media model for culinary businesses in order to promote a bussinesses.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the interpretation of interaction messages in Carat's celebrity worship behavior towards Seventeen on the Weverse application. The research method employed is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with Carat users on Weverse in Indonesia, direct observation on the Weverse application, and consultations with experts for data validity. The results of the study indicate that Carat interprets Seventeen's messages based on their expectations or happiness, creating a sense of closeness or a relationship beyond being mere fans and their idols. These findings align with symbolic interaction theory and reflect an intense-personal level in celebrity worship behavior.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemanfaatan teknologi yang semakin masif ditambah dengan keberadaan pandemi COVID-19 salah satunya mempengaruhi pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji format media microlearning yang digunakan di perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu observasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa perguruan tinggi memiliki potensi untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar microlearning dengan berbagai format seperti (1) podcast, (2) slide PowerPoint, (3) infografis, (4) motion graphics, (5) video explainer, serta (6) video conference interaktif dan gamifikasi, sebagai bentuk inovasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Upaya tersebut dilakukan untuk mengatasi kejenuhan belajar yang terjadi akibat pandemi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang semakin berkembang.Abstract: The increasingly massive use of technology coupled with the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the implementation of online learning. This study aims to examine the format of microlearning media used in universities. The method used is observation and literature study. The results of this study indicate that universities have the potential to develop microlearning teaching materials in various formats such as (1) podcasts, (2) PowerPoint slides, (3) infographics, (4) motion graphics, (5) explainer videos, and (6) interactive video conferencing and gamification, as a form of innovation in the learning process. These efforts were made to overcome the boredom of learning that occurred due to the pandemic by utilizing increasingly developing information and communication technology.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how significant the influence of Generation Z’s beliefs and attitude can make towards the green purchase intention of GoRide Electric service in South Jakarta. In order to find out, this study uses Theory of Planned Behavior which was developed by Ajzen (1989) from the theory which he and Fishbein first came up with, Theory of Reasoned Action. This explanatory quantitative research is conducted by distributing questionnaires to 100 Generation Z respondents who lives in South Jakarta uses public and/or online transportation. The data collected is analyzed using the Multiple Linear Regression analysis to find out the influence of 3 independent variables towards the dependent variable in this study. The results shows that there is indeed a positive and significant influence of Generation Z's beliefs and attitude green purchase intention for GoRide Electric service. It is found that Generation Z's attitude towards green purchase has a positive and significant effect on green purchase intention for GoRide Electric service in South Jakarta. Apart from that, it is also known that Generation Z subjective norms have a positive and significant effect on green purchase intention for GoRide Electric service in South Jakarta. Another positive influence occurs between Generation Z's perceived behavioral control on Green Purchase Intention for GoRide Electric service in South Jakarta. The more positive beliefs and attitude that Generation Z has regarding green purchases, the green purchase intention for GoRide Electric service will also increase.

Abstract

MS Glow for Men is sponsoring the Gresini Racing Team in the 2022 MotoGP season. The suitability between MS Glow for Men and Gresini is considered low. Meanwhile, several previous studies have revealed that the suitability between a sponsor and the sponsored party determines the effectiveness. Gresini's best performance occurred 20 years ago, accompanied by lower popularity on Instagram compared to 11 other teams. These two conditions contradict the goal of sponsorship as a marketing communication tool that requires high visibility. The attractiveness of this sponsorship is also due to its timing in the middle of the season. Based on these factors, this research aims to obtain a comprehensive overview of the reasons and strategies behind this sponsorship. Using a qualitative approach and a case study method, data was gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The research successfully found that the reasons for sponsorship include the impact of top-level effects, consumer research, external discussions, exposure, connections, values, cooperation, and riders. Sponsorship is conducted to enhance brand awareness, maintain brand image, and expand geographical reach. Focusing on men aged 20-35 who are automotive and MotoGP enthusiasts, MS Glow for Men also extends its sponsorship into six derivative programs, not merely relying on logo placement on the Gresini livery.
