Abstract

Communication patterns occur in every organization, including the Alliance of Independent Journalists/Aliansi Jurnalis Independen (AJI) Malang in advocating journalists. Journalists who are members of AJI Malang will find it easier to overcome problems while carrying out their journalistic tasks because AJI Malang has three main issues that are always the center of attention, which are the struggle to maintain press freedom, improve journalist's professionalism, and improve the welfare of journalists. The purpose of this study was to determine the organizational communication pattern of the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Malang in advocating journalists and factors that hinder the Malang Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) in advocating journalists. This study used qualitative research methods. The method of data analysis used by researchers is the descriptive method, which describes the results of the data obtained.The results of the study prove that the communication pattern of the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Malang uses the primary, secondary, linear and circular communication patterns. While the factors that hinder the Malang Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) in advocating for journalists are two factors, which are the internal factor comes from the number of journalists who have not understood the journalistic code of ethics and stopped the case in the middle of an advocacy process. While external factors came from press companies that were less proactive in guarding advocacy by journalists.

Abstract

Commodification is a process of transforming use value into exchange value. The soap opera The Search for God Volume 12 is the result of efforts to change the use value of religiosity into an exchange rate that can bring financial benefits. This study uses a critical perspective with an approach to the theory of media political economy. The concept of commodification of content offered by Mosco become the scalpel of this study. The data of this study is obtained from the main data source, namely the soap opera series of God Seekers Volume 12 which aired on SCTV. As for secondary data obtained from library studies or literature and internet. The result of the research shows that the soap opera of Para Pencari Tuhan (PPT) is nothing more than a commodification of aspects of spirituality or religion. Religious values that were originally viewed and used on the principle of use value were transformed into exchange values. Religion becomes a commodity in the midst of the industrialization of capitalist society. Media institutions have the power to determine a program will be used as new commodity on television screen. Every program produced by media institutions is a representative between the economic system and the political system. Abstrak Komodifikasi diartikan sebagai proses transformasi nilai guna menjadi nilai tukar. Sinetron Para Pencari Tuhan Jilid 12 adalah hasil upaya perubahan dari nilai guna relegiusitas ke dalam nilai tukar yang bisa mendatangkan keuntungan finansial. Nilai-nilai keagamaan dan ketuhanan dikomodifikasi menjadi tontontan yang layak jual. Kajian ini menggunakan perspektif kritis dengan pendekatan teori ekonomi politik media. Konsep komodifikasi isi yang ditawarkan Mosco menjadi pisau bedah kajian ini. Data kajian ini diperoleh dari sumber data utama, yaitu tayangan sinetron Para Pencari Tuhan Jilid 12 yang tayang di SCTV. Sedangkan untuk data sekundernya diperoleh dari studi kepustakaan atau literatur dan penelusuran internet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sinetron Para Pencari Tuhan (PPT) tidak lebih dari komodifikasi aspek spiritualitas atau agama. Nilai-nilai agama yang pada mulanya dipandang dan digunakan atas prinsip nilai guna ditransformasi menjadi nilai tukar. Agama menjadi komoditas di tengah industrialisasi masyarakat kapitalis. Lembaga media memiliki kekuatan (power) menentukan program apa saja yang akan dijadikan komoditas baru di layar kaca televisi. Setiap program yang diproduksi lembaga media adalah perwakinan antara sistem ekonomi dengan sistem politik.

Abstract

Clothing is not only a covering for the body; more than that, it is a form of human expression. Even clothing can be a clue to the identity of the wearer. This research wants to understand how students represent themselves through clothing on Instagram. The research was conducted at Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University, with the unit of analysis being photos of informants on Instagram taken while they were on campus. Secondary data was obtained through interviews with informants who own Instagram accounts. The results of the research show that the self-representation that students want to show shows the aspect of social class as a high social class and personality aspects that show a self-image as an intellectual and good person, as well as a modern aspect with trendy and stylish clothing styles as a form of progress and mobility of the times. as well as the ideological aspect which displays religious symbols and feelings of love for the country of Indonesia. Abstrak Busana bukan hanya sebagai penutup tubuh, lebih dari itu merupakan salah satu bentuk ekspresi manusia. Bahkan busana juga bisa menjadi salah satu petunjuk identitas pada diri pemakainya. Penelitian ini ingin memahami bagaimana mahasiswa merepresentasikan dirinya melalui busana di Instagram. Penelitian dilakukan di Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi dengan unit analisis berupa foto-foto informan di Instagram yang diambil saat berda di lingkungan kampus. Data sekunder diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan informan pemilik akun Instagram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, representasi diri yang ingin mahasiswa ditampilkan menunjukkan adanya segi kelas sosial sebagai kelas sosial yang tinggi dan segi kepribadian yang menunjukan citra diri sebagai orang yang berintelektual dan baik, serta segi modern dengan gaya pakaian yang trendy dan stylish sebagai wujud kemajuan dan mobilitas zaman serta segi ideologi yang menampilkan simbol-simbol keagamaan dan perasaan cinta pada negara Indonesia.
