Abstract

Delsa Kolam melrulpakan salah satul delsa yang telrleltak di Kelcamatan Pelrcult Seli Tulan, Kabulpateln Delli Selrdang, Provinsi Sulmatelra Ultara. Selbagian belsar masyarakat delsa Kolam belkelrja di selktor pelrtanian, namuln ada julga yang belkelrja selbagai bulrulh harian lelpas. Mellihat banyaknya masyarakat Delsa Kolam yang melmiliki profelsi selbagai peltani, melnulnjulkkan bahwa selktor pelrtanian melmelgang pelranan pelnting dalam bidang elkonomi masyarakat. Tidak seldikit pulla masyarakat melmiliki pelkarangan rulmah yang lulas, apabila masyarakat dapat melmanfaatkan lahan pelrkarangan selmaksimal mulngkin, maka dapat belrpelngarulh telrhadap pelndapatan yang selmakin belrtambah akibat prospelk lahan pelrkarangan rulmah masyarakat yang belsar. Meltodel pelngulmpullan data pada pelngabdian ini melnggulnakan meltodel Meltodel stuldi kasuls (casel stuldy) dan Participatory Action Relselarch (PAR). Pelngabdian ini diawali delngan obselrvasi (pelngamatan) langsulng di lapangan. Adapuln data selkulndelr dipelrolelh mellaluli stuldi pulstaka delngan melmpellajari dan melrelvielw bulkul maulpuln julrnal pelngabdian ulntulk melndulkulng pelngulmpullan data dalam pelngabdian ini. Pelmanfaatan lahan pelkarangan rulmah dinilai sangat elfelktif ulntulk melmbantul pelmelnulhan sulmbelr pangan dan pelndapatan warga Delsa Kolam. Kata kunci: Pelngabdian, Sulmbelr Pangan, Pelndapatan

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Media Flash Card Terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Siswa di Sekolah Dasar” didasari oleh siswa mengalami kesulitan membaca awal, sehingga guru perlu menggunakan media interaktif yang menarik untuk membantu mereka mengenali huruf dan kata sederhana secara efektif. Tujuannya mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Flash Card terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa di Sekolah Dasar IT Cendikia. Tahap membaca permulaan penting bagi perkembangan literasi anak, dengan media seperti Flash Card terbukti efektif meningkatkan daya ingat dan mempermudah pembelajaran secara interaktif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian Quasi Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Uji hipotesis tes yang dilakukan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol di dapatkan thitung = 2,1969 dan ttabel = 2,0040 maka thitung > ttabel (2,1969 > 2,0040) yang artinya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Media flash card untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas I perlu dikembangkan sehingga dapat melatih kemandirian siswa dalam belajar.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of the Museum Perjuangan TNI in caring for the relics of the struggle of the Indonesian independence fighters in Medan and its surroundings. This article uses a historical research method with five steps, namely: topic selection, source collection, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, with a qualitative approach. The main focus of this article is that the author wants to see the history of the establishment of the Museum Perjuangan TNI and the role it has in storing and caring for historical objects used by the fighters in Medan. Before becoming a museum, the building belonged to a Dutch insurance company named NV Levensverzekering Maatschappij Arnhem. After the Dutch surrender to Japan, the building was later converted into the headquarters of the Japanese army (Kementai). After being controlled by the Indonesians, this building was used as the office of the Commander of the Military Command (Pangdam) I-III. However, since October 5, 1996, this building was inaugurated as the TNI Struggle Museum by the Commander of the I/BB Regional Military Command, Major General (Mayjend). Sedaryanto. Currently the Museum Perjuangan TNI is located at Jalan KH. Zainul Arifin No. 8, Central Petisah Village, Medan City, North Sumatra Province. This museum acts as a place for education, tourism, and collective memory storage of the freedom fighters in Medan and its surroundings.

Abstract

This article discusses the influence of foreign cultures on the existence of Malay music in Medan City in the period 1970-2000. The arrival of various foreign communities in Medan City also brings their original culture. The acculturation of foreign communities with ethnic Malays produces a beautiful blend of cultures. This study uses the historical method in four writing steps, namely; heuristics, verification or criticism, interpretation, and historiography, with a cultural approach. Ethnic Malay as an egalitarian society can accept foreign culture with open arms. The interaction of the Malay people for hundreds with foreign cultures has brought significant changes to their culture. This can be seen from the various musical genres that influence Malay music. In addition, the use of musical instruments from various foreign cultures also enriches the treasures of Malay music. Even though it was influenced a lot from foreign cultures, Malay music still survives and exists today.

Abstract

This article discusses the history, motifs, and functions of the Batu Bara Malay songket woven fabric. Coal Malay songket woven cloth is a traditional cloth that is the cultural heritage of the Batu Bara community. Historically, the Coal Malay songket woven fabric has existed since 1823, while the shapes and motifs used in the Coal Malay songket woven fabric are usually in the form of plants and nature. The Batu Bara Malay songket woven cloth serves as a symbol and identity for the Malay community in Batu Bara. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a historical approach. The results showed that the use of the Batu Bara Malay songket woven fabric had existed since the reign of the Batu Bara Sultanate, at that time the Batu Bara community had begun to recognize the materials and threads used to make songket woven fabrics. Since its inception until now, the Malay Coal songket woven cloth has been used for various traditional activities. Almost every traditional Malay ceremony and activity always uses songket. The motifs and colors used in the Batu Bara Malay songket used to reflect the strata or social status of the person who wore it.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the criteria used for development using cartoon and comic learning media. The data used for developing cartoon media products are quantitative data and qualitative data. research results shows the development of text comic cartoon media in comic cartoons can well readable proportional layout (layout of text and images) on cartoons comics have good compatibility with the selection of backgrounds in comic cartoons the suitability of selecting fonts and font sizes in cartoon comics accuracy images used for clarity of material in suitability comic cartoons pictures with material, the presentation of the material is in order, the description of the material is very clear, visual communication, communicative, simple and engaging, creative so it can developed as a medium of learning in schools.

Abstract

The study aims to provide instructional materials, such as children's comics, to help students become more proficient readers. The four steps of the 4-D model used in this research are defined, designed, developed, and disseminated. It is a research and development (R&D) study. Student learning outcomes following the usage of comic media, teacher and student questionnaires, validation questions from media experts, and material experts are all used in the research data collection process. This research was conducted on 11 class III students at MIS Hubbul Wathon. The research results by media experts obtained 96% of the category (very valid), and the assessment by material experts was 91% of the category (very valid). In comparison, the assessment by teacher responses received a score of 98% in the category (very practical), and student responses received a score of 98% in the category (very practical). The use of comic media in learning impacts increasing reading comprehension skills by 0.6 or the medium category. Comic learning media is suitable for learning because it can improve students' reading comprehension.

Abstract

Desa Kolam merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Desa ini merupakan desa yang terdiri dari berbagai suku dimulai dari Jawa, Batak , Mandailing dan lain nya yang belum diketahui. Dari beberapa suku yang berada di desa kolam mengharuskan warga setempat harus menggunakan bahasa Indonesia agar dapat berkomunikasi dengan baik. Dalam penelitian ini, dibahas bagaimana penggunaan dan perkembangan bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, alasan mengapa menggunakan metode ini karena peneliti ingin meneliti suatu kelompok manusia dalam berkomunikasi dan apa yang terjadi dalam interaksi tersebut dengan tujuan untuk membuat deskripsi, gambaran atau lukisan secara sistematis, faktual dan akurat mengenai fakta-fakta berdasarkan hasil pengamatan. Data dan informasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini didapat dari hasil interaksi warga, informasi tersebut dalam bentuk dokumentasi dan catatan peristiwa yang terjadi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang efektif dan teruji dalam membantu siswa kelas 1 yang mengalami kesulitan membaca. Media yang dikembangkan adalah permainan balok suku kata, yang dirancang khusus untuk melatih aspek kognitif dan kreativitas siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D, yang meliputi tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Dalam proses pengembangan, balok suku kata telah divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media ini layak digunakan dalam konteks pembelajaran di kelas 1, dengan nilai rata-rata validasi ahli media sebesar 3,2 dan validasi ahli materi sebesar 3,3. Kedua nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa media balok suku kata tidak hanya dapat diterima, tetapi juga efektif dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, yaitu mengatasi kesulitan membaca pada siswa. Dengan demikian, balok suku kata menjadi alat yang penting dalam mendukung perkembangan literasi di tahun-tahun awal pendidikan dasar. Balok Suku Kata memperkenalkan konsep fonetik dan struktur kata kepada siswa sejak dini, mendukung pembentukan keterampilan membaca yang efektif. Media ini mendorong pembelajaran aktif dan mandiri melalui manipulasi visual dan kinestetik balok, serta membantu guru mengidentifikasi kesulitan spesifik siswa untuk intervensi tepat sasaran. Dalam jangka panjang, pendekatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca, tetapi juga mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah, berkontribusi pada lingkungan belajar holistik yang mendukung perkembangan akademis dan emosional siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the condition of the extracurricular literacy program at MTSN 2 Medan. In addition, it also explains the effectiveness and constraints that occur in the development of this literacy program at MTSN 2 Medan. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. This study provides an overall picture of the conditions, effectiveness, and obstacles that occur in literacy programs. The results of the research show that the literacy program has not run optimally. Problems with the literacy program in learning Indonesian that occurred at MTSN 2 Medan included irrelevant learning strategies, the availability of inadequate and incomplete facilities and infrastructure, and students' low interest in reading. Sources of data in this study are documents and school implementation processes literacy program. The data in this study were collected using documentation, interviews and observation methods. The results of this study indicate that the governance of extracurricular literacy at MTSN 2 Medan is as follows (1) First, the school planning for the literacy program has been carried out by setting literacy goals for the school movement program. However, this planning has not been based on a needs analysis (2) extracurricular activities about Indonesian that have not been implemented at this school (4) the control that has been carried out is still limited to ensuring that the Thursday reading program is carried out or not. Controls to improve program quality have not been carried out. The management of the school literacy movement program needs to be managed properly, starting from the strategic planning process, organizing by giving job descriptions, implementing programs in accordance with strategic planning, and continuous evaluation
