Abstract

The research aims to answer problems regarding implementation teaching strategy for catholic religious education teachers in class XI multiple intelligence-based learning at Budi Murni 2 Medan Catholic Private Senior High School.This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study are students of Class XI Budi Murni 2 Medan Catholic Private Senior High School. The informants specified in this study are 12 people consisting of catholic religious education students and teachers. The research is conducted during March and April 2023. Data analysis is carried out by reduction, display, and triangulation. The results of the study show that catholic religious education teachers at Budi Murni 2 Medan Catholic Private Senior High School have implemented appropriate teaching strategies in learning based on multiple intelligences. The suggestion of this research is that multiple intelligences can be used as a focus of teaching strategies for catholic religious education teachers in multiple intelligences-based learning at Budi Murni 2 Medan Catholic Private Senior High School

Abstract

This study aims to answer research problems regarding development of students' spiritual intelligence through the learning process of christian religious education at Budi Murni 2 Medan Catholic Private Senior High School.This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Researchers conducted research at Budi Murni 2 Medan Catholic Private Senior High School from March to April 2023. The research subjects are selected by purposive sampling. The informants identified in this study are 11 people, namely the vice principal, religion teacher, and 9 students. Data analysis is carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation, and research conclusions.The results of the study show that the development of students' spiritual intelligence is carried out by the teacher through the role of the religious teacher as a good spiritual shepherd for students, helping students fulfill their life mission, inviting students to read the scriptures, involving students in religious activities. Abstract

This study aims to answer research problems about efforts of catholic religious education teachers in overcoming verbal violence in students at 1 Delitua State Senior High School.This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This research is conducted at 1 Delitua State Senior High School from February to April 2023. The research subjects are selected by purposive sampling. The informants determined by the researcher are 15 people consisting of catholic religion teachers, school principals, student affairs teachers, guidance and counseling teachers, peer teachers, and 10 students. Data analysis is carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation, and research conclusions. The results of the study show that verbal violence occurs in the school environment in the form of yelling, cursing, humiliating, intimidating, belittling and humiliating, and verbal bullying. Efforts made by the teacher in overcoming verbal violence in the communication aspect, namely the teacher approaches students and provides direction so that students dare to convey the forms of violence they experience

Abstract

The situation of educational success in Indonesia is a complex issue and can be seen from various points of view. In some aspects, there has been progress, but there are still many challenges that need to be overcome. In order to advance quality education in Indonesia, the government has implemented a curriculum development policy, namely the Independent Learning Curriculum. The Independent Learning Curriculum is a curriculum with diverse intracurricular learning, where the content presented to students will be more optimal with the aim that students will have enough time to explore concepts and strengthen competencies. The Merdeka Curriculum also uses a project basis to strengthen the achievement of the Pancasila student profile. This project was developed based on a certain theme determined by the government. The Pancasila Student Profile is formed by six main dimensions, namely: Faith, noble character, and devotion to God Almighty, Independence, Cooperation, Global diversity, Critical reasoning, Creative. However, various challenges are experienced by educational practitioners in implementing this independent curriculum. One of them is regarding the use of learning models. Using the right method will influence the learning process and learning outcomes. One of them is the problem based learning model. This learning model is problem-based and learning orientation is a learning approach that focuses on students. In this model, the teacher acts as a facilitator or guide, who helps students to develop deeper understanding and relevant skills by motivating, stimulating questions, and supporting meaningful learning experiences. The aim of this research is to implement the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual media in class II Phase A of St. Catholic Elementary School. Maria III Malang can improve learning outcomes and collaborative attitudes of students; increasing the collaborative attitude of students using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual media in class II Phase A of St, Maria III Catholic Elementary School, Malang; and the target of achieving student learning outcomes can be successful by using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual media in class II Phase A of St. Maria III Catholic Elementary School, Malang. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used consists of data reduction by selecting raw data into information, data presentation, namely presenting data in the form of descriptions, graphs, tables and drawing conclusions by making conclusions from research results that refer to the problem formulation. The use of the Problem Based Learning model is effective in helping to improve learning outcomes and the collaborative spirit of students on the material on the Holy Family of Nazareth and Jesus presented in the Temple of God, at Santa Maria III Catholic Elementary School, Malang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the project of Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5), the role of teachers in improving P5, and the characters developed in P5 implemented by PPG-STPKat students of St. Francis Asisi Semarang. The mixed method research design was used. The probability sampling technique was used to select 14 schools for the research population. Quantitative data was collected through questionnaires assessing the implementation of the P5 project and the role of teachers and analyzed using ANOVA Linearity, Linear Regression, and the F Test. Interviews were used to collect qualitative data, which was then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the simultaneous implementation of the P5 project and the role of the teacher had a high effect on student character building (99.1%). The linearity test revealed a linear relationship between P5 project implementation and learner character, with a significance value (p) of 0.000 0.05. P5 has been implemented in elementary schools, and teachers serve as role models, motivators, inspirers, and evaluators, according to qualitative findings. Students' Pancasila character profile depicts a character of faith, piety to God Almighty, and noble character. Positive aspects of mutual cooperation included improved collaboration skills and various aspects of mutual cooperation. This study's recommendations include increasing the number of meeting hours, involving a team of facilitators, and ensuring school readiness. Students must be encouraged to participate actively in the P5 project and to develop the Pancasila learner profile attitude.

Abstract

Empathy and tolerance towards individuals with different beliefs and cultures is decreasing. This research conducted and analyzed the values of multiculturalism applied to Catholic religious education learning in schools. This research also aims to determine and measure the impact received after implementing the values of multiculturalism in learning Catholic religious education for students. The method used in this research was a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that applying multiculturalism values in Catholic religious education learning can develop students’ understanding, skills, and attitudes in facing an increasingly multicultural world. Catholic Religious Education can positively contribute to peace and tolerance between religious communities. This can also positively contribute to world education and culture by helping increase readers' understanding of the importance of respecting religious and cultural differences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model Discovery Learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik di SMP Swasta Assisi. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) melibatkan 32 peserta didik dari Fase D Kelas VII Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Langkah metode penelitian yang dilakukan dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Metode pengumpulan data termasuk tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis deskriptif kualitatif digunakan, dengan kriteria keberhasilan proses dan produk. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam penerapan Discovery Learning dan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik, seperti pemberian rangsangan (75% menjadi 85%), pernyataan masalah (69% menjadi 75%), pengumpulan data (58% menjadi 83.3%), pengolahan data (67% menjadi 91.6%), pembuktian/verifikasi (58% menjadi 83.3%), dan menarik kesimpulan (88% menjadi 93.7%). Demikian juga, terjadi peningkatan dalam keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik, seperti penyampaian ide dan pikiran (34.37% menjadi 72.50%), intonasi dan volume suara (38% menjadi 73.4%), kemampuan mendengar (50.62% menjadi 68.12%), penggunaan bahasa yang efektif (51.25% menjadi 74.3%), dan penggunaan bahasa tubuh yang baik dan tepat (36.71% menjadi 84.3%). Hasil belajar peserta didik juga meningkat, seperti dalam kemahiran (dari 31% menjadi 90%) dan kemampuan verbal (dari 59% menjadi 10%). Rekomendasi mencakup penguatan kreativitas pendidik, evaluasi kurikulum, dan peningkatan strategi pembelajaran untuk mencapai hasil belajar peserta didik secara holistik.

Abstract

As a substitute for parents in school, the role of Catholic Religious Education (PAK) teachers is crucial in guiding and nurturing students to avoid behaviors that may lead them towards inappropriate social interactions. This research is significant to understand the role of Catholic Religious Education (PAK) teachers in shaping the faith of Catholic students at SD Negeri 045957 Suka, Kabupaten Karo. The research methodology employed is qualitative, involving observations, interviews, and document analysis. Data was collected through observing PAK teachers' activities, interviewing teachers, the school principal, other subject teachers, and students, as well as analyzing documents related to the Catholic religious curriculum. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 045957 Suka in the sixth grade over a period of three months. The findings indicate that the creative and in-depth teaching methods of PAK teachers are effective in strengthening students' faith through prayer, Bible teachings, and active participation in church worship. The results underscore the need for enhanced teacher training in deep teaching approaches and the integration of Catholic values into daily school activity.

Abstract

Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik sering disebut sebagai pendidik iman, saksi iman, maupun penanggungjawab pembinaan iman. Guru Agama Katolik sangat berperan dalam pembinaan iman peserta didik di sekolah, khusunya Guru Agama Katolik Di Sekolah Menengah Pertama St. Thomas 3 Medan. Maka dari itu, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik Dalam Pembinaan Iman Peserta Didik di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Swasta St. Thomas 3 Medan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas VIII-4 Sekolah Menengah Pertama Swasta St. Thomas 3 Medan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik penentuan informan dilakukan dengan Purposive Sampling. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, pemaparan data, penafsiran data dan penarikan kesimpulan.

Abstract

This study implemented the Student Team Achievement Division model to enhance collaboration skills and student learning outcomes at SD Santo Petrus Medan. In the classroom action research (PTK), 33 Phase A Class I students in the 2023/2024 academic year participated. The research method encompassed planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, utilizing data collection methods like tests, observation, and documentation. Qualitative descriptive analysis, based on process and product success criteria, was employed. Results indicated a significant rise in applying Student Team Achievement Division and student collaboration skills. Notably, improvements were observed in conveying goals and motivating students (68.75% to 93.75%), presenting information (50% to 87.5%), organizing students into learning groups (29.17% to 87.5%), guiding learning and working groups (46.43% to 92.86%), evaluating learning through quizzes (56.25% to 81.25%), and giving awards (83.33% to 91.67%). Collaboration skills also showed enhancements, including positive interdependence (5.30% to 60.60%), face-to-face interaction (10.10% to 64.64%), individual accountability and responsibility (18.93% to 71.97%), communication (0% to 48.48%), and group work (6.06% to 84.84%). Moreover, student learning outcomes improved notably in proficiency (from 60.61% to 96.97%) and competency (from 5.15% to 3.03%). Recommendations involve boosting teacher creativity, curriculum review, and enhancing learning strategies for comprehensive learning outcomes.
