Abstract

Kasus gangguan jiwa mengalami kenaikan setiap tahunnya, hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kekambuhan ataupun kasus baru masih banyak terjadi. Dukungan keluarga sangat penting dalam mencegah terjadinya kekambuhan pada pasien, sehingga diharapkan keluarga dapat secara mandiri dalam memberikan perawatan kepada anggota keluarga yang mengalami gangguan jiwa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kemampuan keluarga dalam merawat ODGJ di rumah. Penelitian ini melibatkan keluarga pasien ODGJ berjumlah 101 responden di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Wonopringgo Kebupaten Pekalongan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantiatif. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner kemampuan keluarga dalam merawat ODGJ. Analisa data menggunakan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 51,5% kemampuan keluarga dalam merawat ODGJ di rumah baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, hampir 50% dari responden memiliki kemampuan dalam merawat ODGJ di rumah yang kurang baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa masih perlunya upaya peningkatan kemampuan keluarga dalam merawat ODGJ dirumah. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan keluarga dalam merawat yaitu terapi kelompok suportif bagi keluarga pasien.

Abstract

Young women in orphanages often experience psychosocial challenges, such as low self-esteem and experiences of bullying, which affect their emotional and social well-being. This service aims to improve self-concept through a peer group approach as a self-management strategy against the impact of bullying. The methods used include focused group discussions (FGD), education, peer group formation, role play, mentoring, and evaluation. The results show an increase in self-concept understanding, the formation of an active and supportive peer group, improvement in self-management skills, increased self-confidence, the development of peer group modules or guides, and the establishment of sustainable partnerships. Pre-test to post-test scores increased by an average of 1.4 points. Peer groups are effective in creating a safe environment and strengthening positive interactions between adolescents. This intervention has a positive impact on the psychosocial aspect and has the potential to be replicated in other orphanages as a form of promotive and preventive mental health. Cross-sectoral support, such as caregivers, educators, and health workers, is needed for sustainable programs and optimal results.Keywords: bullying; self-concept; orphanage; peer group; young women  Abstrak: Remaja putri di panti asuhan sering mengalami tantangan psikososial, seperti rendahnya konsep diri dan pengalaman bullying, yang memengaruhi kesejahteraan emosional dan sosial mereka. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan konsep diri melalui pendekatan peer group sebagai strategi manajemen diri terhadap dampak bullying. Metode yang digunakan meliputi diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD), edukasi, pembentukan kelompok sebaya, role play, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil capaian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep diri, terbentuknya peer group yang aktif dan suportif, peningkatan kemampuan manajemen diri, peningkatan rasa percaya diri, tersusunnya modul atau panduan peer group dan terjalinnya kemitraan berkelanjutan. Skor pre-test ke post-test naik rata-rata 1,4 poin. Peer group terbukti efektif menciptakan lingkungan aman dan memperkuat interaksi positif antarremaja. Intervensi ini memberikan dampak positif pada aspek psikososial dan berpotensi direplikasi di panti lain sebagai bentuk promotif dan preventif kesehatan mental. Dukungan lintas sektor seperti pengasuh, pendidik, dan tenaga kesehatan diperlukan agar program berkelanjutan dan hasilnya optimal.Kata kunci: bullying; konsep diri; panti asuhan; peer group; remaja putri

Abstract

Early childhood in children is an extraordinary stage of development. Children experience complex physical growth and mental development. The child's reaction and adaptation to environmental stimuli occurs quickly. However, at this time it is also prone to health problems including problems with malnutrition, stunting, obesity problems, respiratory and digestive tract infections, delays in speech development, and emotional problems. Therefore, education for parents to optimize early childhood health is urgently needed. This community service program aims to increase parental knowledge in improving early childhood health. This program was implemented in January 2023 with 25 parents attending the meeting. The method used in this activity is to provide education to parents by carrying out pre-test and post-test. The target of community service is all parents (mothers) who have early childhood children. Mothers have an average age of 32.72 years with an age variation of 4.89, the minimum age is 26 years and the oldest is 42 years. Most of them are housewives (68%) with the most education being high school or vocational school graduates, namely 40%. Providing education about optimizing early childhood health resulted in an average increase in mother's knowledge of 0.76 or the equivalent of 5.06%. These results indicate an increase in parental knowledge in improving early childhood health. This is expected to increase the capacity of parents in optimizing their child health.

Abstract

Abstract Diabetes mellitus (DM) merupakan penyakit kronis yang membutuhkan perawatan jangka panjang dan keterlibatan aktif pasien dalam manajemen diri. Namun, masih banyak pasien yang memiliki pemahaman terbatas tentang pentingnya pengelolaan diri yang efektif, seperti pengaturan pola makan, olah raga, pemantauan gula darah, dan kepatuhan terhadap pengobatan. Kurangnya edukasi dan kesadaran diri dapat meningkatkan risiko komplikasi serius dan menurunkan kualitas hidup pasien. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan edukasi berbasis komunitas diperlukan untuk memberdayakan pasien, keluarga dan kelompok masyarakat dalam memahami serta mengimplementasikan manajemen perawatan diri. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan kegiatan utama deteksi dini pada kelompok rentan, pengukuran gula darah, asam urat, dan tekanan darah, serta edukasi perawatan diri. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 20 orang. Edukasi dilakukan pada kelompok ibu Aisyiyah di Kecamatan Wiradesa. Hasil kegiatan diperoleh rata-rata tekanan darah sistole dan diastole berturut yaitu 142,1 mmHg dan 88,2 mmHg. Tekanan darah sistole tertinggi mencapai 219 mmHg dan terendah yaitu 110 mmHg/. Rata-rata gula darah sewaktu mencapai 108,4 mg/dl dengan gula darah sewaktu tertinggi mencapai 180 mg/dl dan terendah yaitu 66 mg/dl. Pengukuran asam urat diperoleh rata-rata asam urat mencapai 6,31 mg/dl. Edukasi diberikan berjalan dengan lancar dan antusias peserta diobservasi berdasarkan respon terhadap keinginan bertanya. Keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa berdasarkan pemeriksaan peserta sebagian besar memiliki risiko hipertensi dan diabates melitus. Abstract

Resilience is crucial for adolescents, a vulnerable group that may suffer adverse effects from earthquakes. A large number of adolescents continue to experience stress and trauma as a result of such events. This study aimed to determine the differences in psychological resilience among adolescents based on gender, parenting style, and psychosocial problems. This quantitative research employed a cross-sectional design with a sample size of 232 participants. Simple random sampling was used, with the inclusion criteria targeting adolescents who resided in the earthquake-affected area, directly experienced the earthquake, and exhibited psychological impacts such as anxiety, fear, and excessive sadness. Adolescent resilience was measured using a modified version of the Brief Resilience Scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using a three-way ANOVA with a 2x2x2 factorial design. The results showed that the average resilience score was 19.25 out of a maximum possible score of 30, suggesting that adolescent resilience remains considerably below its potential maximum. Psychological resilience among adolescents in earthquake-affected areas was not significantly influenced by gender (p = 0.381), parenting style (p = 0.607), or psychosocial problems experienced during the earthquake (p = 0.331). Therefore, adolescent resilience appears unaffected by these factors. However, further research is warranted to explore other potential influences, including coping mechanisms, decision-making skills, and stress management.

Abstract

Background: A caregiver's ability to care for patient with mental disorders is determined, in part, by perceptions of social support and self-esteem. Apart from that, caregiver characteristics can also determine perceptions of social support and self-esteem.Objective: This study aims to determine differences in perceptions of social support and self-esteem of PMD caregivers based on gender and occupation with age covariates of PMD caregivers.Method: This research was a correlative descriptive study with a cross sectional approach with the sample being caregivers of patient with mental disorders. The research was conducted in Pekalongan regency with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The sample size was 101 respondents. Data was obtained using a characteristics questionnaire, the Multidimensional Perceived Social Support questionnaire, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Data were analyzed using multiple analysis of covariance.Result: A total of 77.2% of caregivers were women with an average caregiver age of 45.5 years in the age range 18-59 years. The average perceived social support was 73.59 in the score range 61-82 and the average self-esteem was 35.14 in the score range 29-40. There is a significant difference in perceptions of social support and caregiver self-esteem based on gender after controlling for age (p value 0.037). The results of the post hoc test showed that differences in gender caused significant differences in the self-esteem of caregivers of patient with mental disorders (F (1,97) = 4.411; P = 0.038; Alpha = 0.05).Conclusion: There were significant differences in perceptions of social support and self-esteem of PMD caregivers based on sex and occupation after age-controlled with age. Efforts to increase perceptions of social support and self-esteem can be focused by paying attention to gender and age factors.

Abstract

WHO merekomendasikan pemberian ASI eksklusif selama 6 bulan pertama kehidupan bayi sebagai standar emas dalam pemberian makanan bayi dan anak. ASI menyediakan nutrisi yang dibutuhkan bayi baru lahir. Pemberian ASI saja telah mampu memenuhi seluruh kebutuhan nutrisi bayi sejak lahir hingga enam bulan. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman perempuan mengenai pentingnya pemberian ASI eksklusif, serta meningkatkan efikasi diri menyusui dan kesiapan dalam menghadapi proses menyusui. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui edukasi, demonstrasi, pendampingan menyusui, dan monitoring. Program ini diikuti oleh 11 ibu hamil trimester III, sebagian diantaranya berpendidikan SMA dan seluruhnya merupakan ibu rumah tangga. Pemberian edukasi tentang pentingnya ASI untuk mencapai ASI eksklusif terbukti meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu, yang ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan rerata skor pengetahuan sebesar 2,28 poin, dari 13,36 sebelum edukasi menjadi 15,64 setelah edukasi. Diukur juga efikasi diri menyusui dan diperoleh skor rata-rata 42 dari total skor 56. Efikasi diri menyusui menunjukkan variasi skor sebesar 3,033, dengan skor terendah 38 dan skor tertinggi 48. Hasil pendampingan dan evaluasi menyusui menunjukkan bahwa ibu dapat menyusui dengan baik dan hanya memberikan ASI pada bayinya. Program ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam peningkatan cakupan ASI eksklusif.
