Abstract

This study aims to examine the Analysis of Agricultural Land Change on the Spatial Pattern of Lalat Regency. Inthis research, the researcher uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The purpose of thisdescriptive research is to make a systematic, factual, and accurate picture or painting about the facts, propertiesand relationships between the phenomena being investigated. Qualitative BMetode is a research procedure thatproduces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from observable behavioral people. Datacollection techniques are the most strategic step in research, because the main purpose of a study is to obtaindata. Data Reduction, Data Display and Conclusion Drawing / Verification. The results of the study Land usechange in Lalat Regency, from 2021 to 2023, show signs of massive development. The area of buildings and roadshas increased, but on the other hand, the area of vegetation and green forests has decreased due to theincreasingly intensive land conversion. The local government of Langkat Regency should immediately realize apolicy on the protection of agricultural land for food crops in Langkat Regency so that it can prevent theconversion of agricultural land for food crops, through accelerating the realization of activities and includingfarmer groups in deliberations for development so that they can achieve the goal of protecting agricultural landfor sustainable food crops.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Review of the Utilization of Palm Oil Revenue Sharing Funds for the 2024 FiscalYear on the Resilience of the Sei Dadap District, Asahan Regency. This research approach is qualitative, aimingto gain an in-depth understanding of the use of Palm Oil Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) for the 2024 Fiscal Yearon regional resilience in Sei Dadap District, Asahan Regency. The location of the research was carried out in SeiDadap District, Asahan Regency. Qualitative research data collection techniques rely on field data throughinteractive methods that allow direct interaction with data sources. Research Results To increase theeffectiveness of DBH utilization, it is recommended that efforts be made to increase transparency, strengthencommunity participation in decision-making, and increase the capacity of human resources. Continuousmonitoring and evaluation are also important to ensure that the use of funds is in accordance with the needs andexpectations of the community. Thus, the utilization of the Palm Oil Revenue Sharing Fund in Sei Dadap Districtnot only focuses on improving the economy, but also has a wide impact on social resilience and infrastructure,all of which contribute to the sustainable development of the region. Synergistic efforts between the government,the community, and the private sector are needed to continue to improve the results of DBH utilization forcommunity welfare and better regional resilience in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Development Strategy of the Minapolitan Area in East Sei Kepayang District,Asahan Regency. The qualitative approach is used because this research aims to dig deeper into the perceptions,views, and experiences of various related parties, including local communities, stakeholders, Data is collectedthrough various relevant qualitative methods, including: In-depth Interview An in-depth interview is conductedto obtain the views, experiences, and perspectives of the main actors involved in regional developmentMinapolitan. To ensure the validity of the data, data triangulation is used, which is comparing and confirmingdata from various sources (interviews, observations, and documentation). Research Results The developmentand improvement of fisheries infrastructure, including road access, cold storage facilities, and fish processingcenters, is an important step to improve distribution efficiency, maintain product quality, and add added valueto fishery products. Strategies to increase access to financing and attract private investment are importantelements in overcoming capital constraints. The adoption of modern fisheries technology, both in aquacultureand capture fisheries, is a strategic step that will increase productivity and preserve natural resources.Sustainable management of natural resources, including efforts to preserve aquatic ecosystems and preventpollution, is an important foundation in ensuring the long-term availability of fish.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Improvement of the Quality of Slum Areas with the Pattern of Handling theRejuvenation of Slum Areas in the Bantan Area in Bantan Village, West Siantar District, Pematang Siantar City.The method used in this study can be in the form of qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach.This research was conducted in the Bantan Area, Bantan Village, West Siantar District, Pematang Siantar City.The data obtained will be analyzed using a qualitative descriptive analysis method, where data collected throughinterviews, observations, and documents are analyzed to provide a clear description of the condition of slumsand the pattern of handling rejuvenation applied in the Bantan Area. Results of the Initial Conditions of Concernstudy The Bantan area before rejuvenation faced various challenges, including poor infrastructure, highpopulation density, and low access to basic services such as clean water and sanitation. Implementation ofIntegrated Handling Patterns The rejuvenation program carried out adopts an integrated handling pattern bypaying attention to physical, social, and environmental aspects. Positive Impact on Quality of Life The results ofthe implementation of rejuvenation show an improvement in the quality of life of the community. IncreasedEnvironmental Awareness Through active involvement in rejuvenation, the community shows increasedawareness of the importance of maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability.

This study aims to examine the Analysis of Old Town Development on Jalan Asahan, Tanjungbalai City.Qualitative research is an approach used to understand social phenomena through the views of the peopleinvolved in the phenomenon. Data Collection Techniques Data collection methods in qualitative research can becarried out through several techniques. This research will categorize data based on key themes, such as: Publicperception of development benefits. Weaknesses and challenges in the development of Kota Tua. Thecommunity's expectations for the future of the Region. The qualitative research method used in the analysis ofthe development of Kota Tua on Jalan Asahan is expected to provide a deep understanding of the perspective ofthe community and related stakeholders. The results of the research on the Old Town Area on Jalan Asahan havehigh historical value and historical architectural richness. The main challenges in the development of this areainclude limited funding, lack of maintenance of historical buildings, and low public awareness regarding theimportance of preserving cultural heritage. The role of the government and the community is very important insupporting the development of Kota Tua. The development of Kota Tua is expected to boost the local economyby attracting tourists and creating new jobs. Overall, the development of Kota Tua on Jalan Asahan requires aholistic approach involving economic, cultural, social, and environmental aspects to realize a sustainablehistorical area and provide benefits to the surrounding community

Abstract

This research aims to research the Improvement of the Quality of Slum Settlements to Support Batik VillageTourism in Tanjungbalai City. The qualitative approach in this study allows for an in-depth analysis of theconditions and efforts to improve the quality of slums around Batik Village, Tanjungbalai City. Through datacollection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation, as well as systematic analysistechniques, this study seeks to identify effective measures that can support cultural tourism and empower localcommunities. Research results Overall, improving the quality of slums around Kampung Batik Kota Tanjungbalaihas had a positive impact on tourism development and improving the welfare of the local community. Withinfrastructure support, community participation, and collaboration between the government and the privatesector, Kampung Batik can continue to develop as a unique and attractive cultural tourism destination. Consistentimplementation and continuous monitoring will ensure that environmental quality improvements can continueto support tourism attraction and local economies in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Pattern of Handling Rejuvenation of Slum Areas in the Siantar Estate Huta MelatiNagori Siantar Estate Area, Siantar District, Simalungun Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptivemethod that emphasizes the aspect of the natural condition of the object (as opposed to an experiment). Datacollection techniques are the means used to obtain the data and information needed to achieve researchobjectives. Data analysis is a process or effort to process data obtained from the results of interviews, field notesand documentation, into new information so that the characteristics of the data are good. The results of theresearch on the Existing Condition of the Siantar Estate Huta Melati Area is one of the settlements that show thecharacteristics of slums. The main problems in this area include poor infrastructure (damaged roads anddrainage), uninhabitable buildings, minimal sanitation systems, and limited access to clean water and electricity.In addition, socio-economic problems such as low income and education levels also aggravate environmentalconditions. Factors Causing the Emergence of Slums The emergence of slums in Siantar Estate Huta Melati iscaused by several factors, including uncontrolled population growth, land limitations, and irregular spatialplanning. The low level of community participation in environmental improvement programs and limited accessto basic facilities also contribute to the slum conditions in this area

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of suburban settlements in the northern ring road corridor ofTanjungbalai City. This research uses a qualitative approach that aims to deeply understand the phenomenon ofsettlement development in the suburbs of Tanjungbalai. In this context, the case study is focused on thedevelopment of settlements in the North Ring Road Corridor, Tanjungbalai City. Data Collection Techniquessuggest that in-depth interviews are an effective technique for gathering qualitative information, explaining thatparticipatory observation helps researchers understand the social and cultural context in which the researchtakes place. Research results Significant population growth due to urbanization has increased the demand forhousing in the Northern Ring Road Corridor area. The development of settlements has led to significant changesin land use in this area. The rapid development of settlements has an impact on the environment, includingpollution and degradation of green open spaces. Although the development of settlements brings economicopportunities, people in the region face significant challenges related to quality of life. With awareness of thefactors that affect the development of settlements and their impact on the environment and people's lives, it ishoped that the planning and management of the North Ring Road Corridor area can be carried out in a sustainableand better manner in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Land Utilization as Green Open Space and City Park as Public Space in Lima PuluhDistrict, Batu Bara Regency, North Sumatra Province. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method thatemphasizes on the aspect of natural object conditions. Data collection techniques are the means used to obtainthe data and information needed to achieve research objectives. In this case, the researcher conducted severaldata analysis techniques, data reduction, data presentation and preliminary conclusion. The results of theresearch on land use in Limapuluh District have 2 areas, namely the built land area and the unbuilt land area.The land use area in Limapuluh District is 99.1 hectares which is dominated by unbuilt land areas. To be able tomeet the needs of public RTH land in each sub-district in Limapuluh District, at least 1 public RTH in 1 sub-districtand optimization of existing vacant lands to be converted into public RTH, especially on vacant land in subdistricts that have little availability of vacant land. Meanwhile, the suggestion for the community to takeadvantage of vacant land by creating a garden in the yard of the house and maintaining and maintaining publicRTH facilities that have been built by the government so as to realize a high and comfortable quality of livingenvironment.

Abstract

This study aims to research the Concept of Improving the Quality of Slum Areas in the Simarito Area in SimaritoVillage, West Siantar District, Pematang Siantar City. The qualitative research method used is qualitativedescriptive. The descriptive method includes collecting data to test hypotheses or answer questions regardingthe latest status of the research subject. To obtain data that is in accordance with what is needed and on time fortime and material efficiency. Research results on Infrastructure Improvement: The development andimprovement of basic infrastructure, such as roads, drainage, and sanitation systems, has succeeded in improvingthe accessibility and quality of life of the community. Improved Health and Hygiene: Sanitation programs and theprovision of clean water have reduced health problems caused by unclean environments. CommunityParticipation: Community involvement in the planning and implementation of regional rejuvenation has shownpositive results. Improving the Local Economy: Training and support programs for micro enterprises have had apositive impact on the local economy. Environmental Awareness: Environmental awareness and educationcampaigns have succeeded in instilling sustainability values among the community. Stakeholder Collaboration:Cooperation between the government, NGOs, and the private sector has strengthened the implementation ofrejuvenation programs. This synergy allows for more effective and efficient use of resources, as well asaccelerating the process of improving the quality of the region.
