Abstract

Subnetting is a fundamental concept in computer networking that is often considered difficult due to its complex calculation process and the limited availability of interactive learning media. This study developed SubnetLab, a web-based learning application that provides user authentication features, an automatic subnetting calculator, binary representation, and a reset function to support independent exploration of the concept. The study used a Research and Development (R&D) method through the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, and functional testing. The application was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with account storage on localStorage. The results showed that SubnetLab was able to perform subnetting calculations accurately and display results in decimal and binary formats. All main features functioned well and supported usability aspects in the basic usage scheme. However, this study did not evaluate the effectiveness of learning or increase user understanding, so further studies are needed to assess the pedagogical impact of the application more comprehensively. Based on these findings, SubnetLab has the potential to be further developed as an independent learning medium or as a companion for computer networking practicums.

Abstract

Pengelolaan peminjaman inventaris dan barang sekolah yang masih dilakukan secara manual berpotensi menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan, seperti ketidaktepatan pencatatan, keterlambatan pengembalian, serta kesulitan dalam memantau ketersediaan dan kondisi barang. Kondisi tersebut juga berdampak pada rendahnya akurasi data dan kurang optimalnya pengelolaan aset sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi peminjaman inventaris dan barang sekolah berbasis web yang mampu mengotomatisasi proses peminjaman, pengembalian, serta pemantauan stok secara terintegrasi dan real-time di SMK PGRI 2 Sidoarjo. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah model Waterfall, yang meliputi tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Perancangan sistem dilakukan menggunakan pemodelan UML, sedangkan implementasi sistem memanfaatkan teknologi web modern dengan arsitektur terpisah antara antarmuka pengguna, logika bisnis, dan basis data MySQL. Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode Black Box Testing dengan 29 skenario uji yang mencakup fungsi autentikasi, pengelolaan data inventaris, transaksi peminjaman dan pengembalian, pengelolaan pengguna, serta pembuatan laporan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi sistem berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna dan tidak ditemukan kesalahan fungsional utama. Sistem yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi, akurasi data inventaris, serta transparansi proses peminjaman barang. Dengan demikian, sistem ini diharapkan dapat mendukung digitalisasi tata kelola sarana dan prasarana sekolah serta menjadi solusi efektif dalam pengelolaan inventaris berbasis teknologi informasi.

Abstract

The use of information technology in the education sector, particularly in school administration services, is an urgent need to improve accuracy and efficiency. However, at SDN Ketintang 1, the New Student Admissions (PPDB) process remains undigitized, limiting access to information for parents and ensuring transparency in selection. This study aims to design a website-based PPDB information system using the Laravel framework to optimize the quality of registration services. The software development method used is the Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model, with system requirements data collected through in-depth interviews with school operators. System testing was conducted in two stages: Black Box Testing to verify feature functionality and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to measure user acceptance. The test results showed that all key features, such as online registration, document upload, pathway selection, and admin verification, functioned properly and met user needs. It was concluded that the implementation of the PPDB website successfully supported digital transformation at SDN Ketintang 1 by providing a structured, transparent platform that facilitates accessibility for both parents and the school. ABSTRAK Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi di sektor pendidikan, khususnya dalam layanan administrasi sekolah, menjadi kebutuhan mendesak untuk meningkatkan akurasi dan efisiensi. Namun, di SDN Ketintang 1, proses Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) masih belum terdigitalisasi, sehingga membatasi akses informasi bagi orang tua dan transparansi seleksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang bangun sistem informasi PPDB berbasis website menggunakan framework Laravel guna mengoptimalkan kualitas layanan pendaftaran. Metode pengembangan perangkat lunak yang diterapkan adalah Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model Waterfall, dengan pengumpulan data kebutuhan sistem melalui wawancara mendalam bersama operator sekolah. Pengujian sistem dilakukan melalui dua tahap, yakni Black Box Testing untuk memverifikasi fungsionalitas fitur dan User Acceptance Test (UAT) untuk mengukur penerimaan pengguna. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fitur utama, seperti pendaftaran online, unggah dokumen, pemilihan jalur, dan verifikasi admin, berfungsi dengan baik dan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Disimpulkan bahwa implementasi website PPDB ini berhasil mendukung transformasi digital di SDN Ketintang 1 dengan menyediakan platform yang terstruktur, transparan, dan mempermudah aksesibilitas bagi orang tua maupun pihak sekolah.

Abstract

Metode pengajaran konvensional sering kali menekankan aktivitas yang berpusat pada pengajar, sehingga membatasi mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan professional dan keterampilan interpersonal. Kesenjangan antara pengetahuan akademik dan kesiapan kerja ini menyoroti perlunya pendekatan inovatif dalam pendidikan. Project-Based Learning (PjBL) dipandang sebagai salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang relevan dan efektif dalam konteks pendidikan abad ke-21. Dalam penerapannya, perbedaan kemampuan awal mahasiswa sering menimbulkan ketimpangan pada hasil belajar. Penelitian mengeksplorasi integrasi ChatGPT ke dalam project-based learning (PjBL) pada mata kuliah Pemrograman Web serta menganalisis efektivitasnya terhadap hasil belajar dan penerimaan teknologi berdasarkan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) yang dimodifikasi dengan variabel self-efficacy. Penelitian ini melibatkan 71 mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi semester dua, yang dibagi ke dalam kelompok beranggotakan empat orang dengan peran yang spesifik. Lulusan SMK RPL ditempatkan secara merata di setiap kelompok untuk mendukung kolaborasi. Data diperoleh melalui pre-test, post-test, dan kuesioner TAM. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar setelah penerapan ChatGPT dalam PjBL, nilai post-test mahasiswa lulusan non-RPL meningkat hingga mendekati mahasiswa lulusan RPL. Selain itu, analisis TAM menunjukkan self-efficacy berpengaruh terhadap persepsi kemudahan dan kegunaan, yang membentuk sikap positif serta niat penggunaan ChatGPT. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperluas pemahaman mengenai integrasi kecerdasan buatan dalam PjBL serta faktor psikologis yang memengaruhi penerimaan teknologi di pendidikan tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a desktop-based School Inventory Information System as a solution to asset recording issues that have previously been conducted manually and are prone to errors. The application was developed using the Visual Programming paradigm with the VB.NET language on the Microsoft Visual Studio platform. Test result indicate that the application functions correctly and supports inventory administration activities without the need for external database integration. Consequently, this application is expected to serve as an effective tool for improving orderliness, accuracy, and transparency in school asset management.

Abstract

Financial and cash management in schools, such as recording student fees, BOS funds, and operational expenses, is often still done manually. This manual process is prone to recording errors (human error), takes a long time to recapitulate, and makes it difficult to prepare financial reports quickly and accurately. This study aims to design and implement a desktop-based information system called SIKAS (School Financial and Cash Management System) to address these issues. This application was built using the Visual Basic (VB.NET) programming language with a MySQL database management system. The result of this research is a functional SIKAS desktop application capable of managing master data, recording income and expenditure transactions, and automatically generating monthly financial reports. With the SIKAS system, it is hoped that the financial administration process in schools can run more efficiently, effectively, and accurately.

Abstract

Rapid advances in Information Technology (IT) in the 21st century have significantly transformed educational practices, particularly in vocational high schools (SMK) specializing in Software Engineering (RPL). Traditional learning media, such as textbooks, static slides, and lectures, often fail to provide an interactive learning experience, limiting students’ engagement and reducing the effectiveness of knowledge retention. To overcome this challenge, this study focuses on developing and validating an interactive quiz application called VOCANETIC, designed as an innovative learning aid for SMK RPL students. The research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach, emphasizing the stages of product development, expert validation, and feasibility assessment. VOCANETIC is developed using VB.NET in the Microsoft Visual Studio environment, and MySQL is employed for efficient data management and storage. The application features interactive quizzes, real-time feedback, and user-friendly interfaces to enhance student engagement and motivation. Based on evaluation and analysis by expert validators, VOCANETIC meets the “Proper” feasibility criteria, demonstrating usability, interactivity, and educational effectiveness. The results indicate that VOCANETIC is capable of supporting active learning, improving students’ understanding of software engineering concepts, and providing an effective platform for self-assessment and practice. In conclusion, the VOCANETIC application is proven to be a valid, reliable, and practical tool that can be implemented as an interactive learning medium in SMK RPL, offering an innovative approach to facilitate student learning and engagement in the digital era.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen digital literacy and enhance effective information dissemination skills among Indonesian students in Thailand. The program was an implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi by lecturers from the Information Technology Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The results of the activity showed that the participants, Indonesian students in Thailand, already possessed a good level of digital literacy. Through this program, they gained a deeper understanding of the importance of applying digital literacy critically, ethically, and collaboratively, as well as realizing their strategic role as information bridges between the academic community abroad and society in Indonesia. Participants also demonstrated a strong commitment to acting as credible and integrity-driven agents of knowledge dissemination. The activity concluded with a reflection session, a group photo, and the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Universitas Negeri Surabaya and the Indonesian Students Association in Thailand as a form of commitment to sustainable collaboration. Overall, this program made a tangible contribution to strengthening the culture of digital literacy, building cross-national academic networks, and reinforcing the role of Indonesian students abroad as responsible ambassadors of knowledge.

Abstract

Classroom management in Indonesian schools faces inefficiencies from Microsoft Excel-based scheduling, causing data errors and delays for administrators and teachers, particularly digital immigrants. This study aims to design a desktop-based classroom management system using VB.NET and MySQL to enable real-time CRUD operations for students, teachers, courses, scores, and printing. Employing a software development approach with the waterfall model, the population consists of 50 potential users (10 administrators, 40 teachers) at Surabaya State University and partner schools; purposive sampling selected 5 key respondents (2 admins, 3 teachers) with 2+ years manual experience. Instruments include needs analysis documents, flowcharts, ERD, prototypes, and black-box testing sheets; data analysis used qualitative-quantitative triangulation validating functional/non-functional requirements. Results demonstrate 100% validity across 36 scenarios in 7 modules (login, dashboard, student/course/score/teacher management, print), confirming system reliability via Human Centered Design. In conclusion, the system enhances administrative productivity, serving as a practical foundation for digital transformation in education, although limited to desktop use.

Abstract

direct use of raw water has serious health risks. Therefore, various water treatment processes are needed to make the raw water safe for use in domestic purposes. One important stage in such processing processes is coagulation and flocculation, where chemicals (coagulants) are used to remove colloidal particles and form larger floc that can be easily precipitated through sedimentation and filtration. Determination of the optimal coagulant dosage is essential to achieve the desired water quality. However, jer-test problems, the non-linear nature of water, and the complexity of coagulation theory can make it difficult to determine the optimal dose. Therefore, in this study, a system is proposed that uses a data-based fuzzy approach and fuzzy set determination using z-score to study data patterns and relationships between parameters in the coagulation process. The proposed method utilizes a fuzzy approach to address the non-linear nature of water and the complexity of coagulation theory. The system uses the collected data patterns to develop fuzzy models that can predict optimal coagulant doses based on specific conditions. This approach allows the system to learn from existing data and identify patterns of relationships that may be hidden between relevant parameters. The results showed that the proposed system achieved an RMSE value of 0.7639589866827494, while the MSE value was 0.5836333333333333333. This suggests that the system can provide a fairly accurate prediction of the dose of coagulant required in the coagulation process.
