Abstract

Pada penyusunan karya ini memiliki target penting dalam rangka di lembaga sekolah SMPN 8 Pekanbaru yang di dalamnya termuat mata pelajaran PAI yang perlu diketahui aspek keterkaitan keterampilan mengajar dan kinerja terhadap kualitas baik secara simultan maupun perseptual dengan menggunakan analisis SPSS versi 16. Metode kuantitatif Expost Facto, yang menganalisis data ordinal dengan Somer’s D dengan aplikasi SPSS 16. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 10 guru PAI di SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. Langkah awal memastikan integritas data dari responden yang terlibat langsung dalam pengelolaan dan penyebaran kuesioner. Karya ini menghasilkan yaitu pertama, keterampilan mengajar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas pendidikan. Kedua, terdapat pengaruh simultan terhadap kualitas pendidikan. Dengan demikian, diharapkan pihak institusi dapat lebih memperhatikan pengembangan keterampilan mengajar dan peningkatan kinerja guru PAI agar kualitas pendidikan di sekolah tersebut dapat terus ditingkatkan. Fokus pada perbaikan kompetensi guru akan berkontribusi langsung pada peningkatan hasil belajar dan prestasi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the profile and science literacy skills of fifth grade elementary school students and (2) differences in science literacy skills based on age, ethnicity, gender, parental education and parental occupation. This study used a survey method with a quantitative approach, with a total sample of 60 people taken through purposive sampling technique. All data were collected through test questions distributed online and analyzed quantitatively using the IBM SPSS 24 application and the Two - way ANOVA test. The results showed that: (1) aspects of science literacy skills have an average of 77 with a good category, (2) There are no differences in science literacy skills based on age, gender, parental occupation and parental education.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of the Example Non Example learning model on student participation in social studies, driven by the low levels of engagement observed among students. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Example Non Example model in enhancing student participation in social studies classes. A quasi-experimental method was employed, involving two groups: an experimental group taught using the Example Non Example model and a control group receiving conventional instruction. The model incorporates visual media, with only the experimental group exposed to image-based learning materials. A total of 30 students were included in the sample, selected through total sampling. Data were collected using an observation sheet for student participation. The findings indicate a significant effect of the Example Non Example model on student participation at SDN 06 Tanjung Baru Tanah Datar. Statistical analysis, including the t-test and determination test, showed a t-test value of 0.401, which is below the threshold of 0.05, suggesting a meaningful impact. The determination test further revealed that this model accounts for 14% of the variance in student participation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar dalam mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 20 siswa di SD Babussalam Pekanbaru pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model TTW. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan uji hipotesis Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test karena data tidak berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari 62,00 (pretest) menjadi 71,50 (posttest) dengan standar deviasi yang sedikit meningkat dari 6,156 menjadi 6,509. Uji Wilcoxon menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05), yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Dengan demikian, penerapan model TTW berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Temuan ini mendukung penggunaan model TTW sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif, interaktif, dan relevan dalam mewujudkan pembelajaran aktif sesuai semangat Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ mathematical critical thinking skills in relation to their initial abilities on the topic of statistics. This investigation is essential because statistical topics require the ability to interpret data, analyze relationships between pieces of information, evaluate solution strategies, and draw inferences; therefore, initial ability plays a substantial role in shaping the quality of students’ critical thinking processes. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design to explore in depth the characteristics of students’ critical thinking based on their initial ability categories. The participants consisted of six seventh-grade students selected according to their levels of initial ability low, medium, and high. Data were collected through tests and interviews. The findings reveal that (1) students with low initial ability were only able to perform interpretation, (2) students with medium initial ability could perform interpretation, analysis, and evaluation though not yet completely, and (3) students with high initial ability were able to demonstrate all four indicators of critical thinking comprehensively. These results highlight the importance of considering students’ initial ability when designing assessments and learning activities that demand higher-order thinking skills (HOTS).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the teaching discipline of Islamic Religious Education teachers with student learning discipline at State Junior High School 2 Tandun. This research is a type of correlation research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 237 people and a sample of 20% with a total of 47 people. Sample withdrawal using proported stratified random sampling technique, which is stratified or tiered in a balanced manner. Data collection using lift, documentation, and observation. Data analysis technique using product moment correlation test. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that there is a significant and positive relationship between the discipline of teaching Islamic Religious Education teachers with student learning discipline at State Junior High School 2 Tandun, obtained the value of r_hitung> r_tabel which is 0.552> 0.288, with a significant level smaller than α (5%) which is 0.000 <0.05. Keywords: Teaching Discipline, Learning Discipline, Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara aktivitas beribadah siswa dengan prestasi belajar PAI dengan menggunakan uji statistik Chi-Square 2x2. Metode ini cocok untuk menguji hubungan antara dua variabel kategori: aktivitas beribadah (aktif vs. tidak aktif) dan prestasi belajar (tinggi vs. rendah). Penelitian ini melibatkan 100 siswa yang datanya disusun dalam tabel kontingensi 2x2 dan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS dan Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Pearson Chi-Square sebesar 25,00 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik antara aktivitas beribadah dengan prestasi belajar PAI. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang lebih aktif beribadah cenderung memiliki prestasi akademik yang lebih baik dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam. Oleh karena itu, keterlibatan dalam beribadah harus dianggap sebagai faktor penting dalam pengembangan karakter religius dan keberhasilan akademik. Penelitian ini juga menawarkan implikasi bagi guru, sekolah, dan orang tua untuk memperkuat integrasi nilai-nilai spiritual dalam praktik pendidikan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between learning discipline and student responsibility in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP Negeri 43 Pekanbaru. This research used quantitative approach with correlational method. The sample amounted to 65 students who were taken using simple random sampling technique from a total population of 186 students. The instrument used is a Likert scale questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test showed a correlation coefficient value of 0.740 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. This shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning discipline and student responsibility in PAI learning. Thus, the higher the students' learning discipline, the higher the students' responsibility. This relationship is in the strong category.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools, especially in the subject of flat shapes, still faces various problems, including low student understanding of concepts due to abstract presentation of material and lack of use of concrete learning media. This condition causes students to tend to memorize formulas without deeply understanding the meaning of the concept of area. Therefore, learning innovations are needed that can bridge abstract mathematical concepts to make them more concrete and easier to understand, one of which is through the use of Geoboard media. This study aims to determine the effect of using Geoboard media in strengthening the understanding of the concept of flat shapes in fourth-grade elementary school students. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group type. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class, which received learning using Geoboard media, and the control class, which received conventional learning. The research instrument was a test of understanding of the concept of flat shape area that had undergone validity and reliability tests. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential tests in the form of an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the average score for understanding of the concept among students in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class, and there was a significant difference between the two groups. These findings indicate that the use of Geoboard is effective in improving understanding of the concept of flat shape area. Thus, Geoboard is recommended as an alternative mathematics learning medium in elementary schools to support meaningful and student-centered learning.

Abstract

This study aims to identify learning obstacles, design didactic methods, implement didactic activities, and find changes after the retrospective stage. The method used is Didactical Design Research (DDR). The subjects of this study are second-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through observation during the learning process. The results showed that some students had difficulty understanding the concept of multiplication as repeated addition and demonstrated limitations in visualizing number patterns. To overcome these obstacles, concrete media in the form of multiplication boards and ice cream sticks were used. Ice cream sticks were used as manipulative tools to show groups of numbers, while multiplication boards helped students find multiplication patterns visually and structurally. The use of these two media made it easier for students to understand the basic concept of multiplication, especially for students with low numerical abilities. Significant changes occurred in concept exploration and number pattern comprehension activities. Students became more active and engaged in learning because the learning was concrete and contextual. These results indicate that the integration of multiplication boards and popsicle sticks in didactic design can improve the effectiveness of multiplication learning in elementary schools.
