Abstract

In the current digital era, technological advancements play a crucial role in addressing the challenges faced by society, particularly for Generation Z, who prioritize convenience and speed in communication. Social media platforms, especially TikTok, have become effective tools for promoting and preserving local cultures, including the Mask Dance from Cirebon. This research aims to assess the effectiveness of TikTok as a means of preserving the Topeng Mask Dance among Generation Z. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection methods such as documentation, observation, and interviews. Data analysis is performed through content analysis, examining Generation Z's responses to the Topeng Mask Dance on TikTok. The findings indicate that TikTok is highly effective in increasing the visibility and recognition of the Topeng Mask Dance among Generation Z. The interactions reveal positive engagement from users who show a high level of interest in informative content. This research recommends collaborating with dance experts to develop creative ideas through digital platforms to ensure the continued preservation of cultural heritage. Therefore, TikTok serves not only as a source of entertainment but also as a vital tool for preserving and introducing local culture to the younger generation, thereby strengthening national identity amid globalization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan dalam keterampilan menulis teks cerita inspiratif, yaitu rendahnya minat siswa dalam menulis serta siswa merasa kesulitan untuk memulai menulis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerita inspiratif siswa SMP dengan menggunakan media padlet. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan dua siklus pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media padlet dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerita inspiratif siswa yang dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata dari siklus I ke siklus II. Pada siklus I perolehan nilai rata-rata kelas hanya 69,59 sedangkan pada siklus II perolehan nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat menjadi 84,32. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan menulis teks cerita inspiratif siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui pembelajaran dengan media padlet.

Abstract

The importance of effective writing skills at the primary education level cannot be ignored. This article discusses the impact of applying a problem-based learning approach, Problem-Based Learning, in improving writing skills in fourth grade elementary school students in Garut Regency. This research method involves the development of PBL material, application in the classroom, and evaluation of learning outcomes through qualitative and quantitative assessments. The results of this study showed: first, there was a significant improvement in the ability to write argumentative paragraphs. Second, student responses are very positive to the use of the Problem-Based Learning approach in learning to write argumentation paragraphs. However, there were weaknesses in using this learning approach, namely in terms of preparation that teachers must do. Pentingnya kemampuan menulis efektif pada tingkat pendidikan dasar tidak dapat diabaikan. Artikel ini membahas dampak penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah, Problem-Based Learning, dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis pada siswa kelas empat sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Garut. Metode penelitian ini melibatkan pengembangan materi PBL, penerapan di kelas, dan evaluasi hasil belajar melalui penilaian kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: pertama, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan menulis paragraf argumentasi. Kedua, respons siswa sangat positif terhadap penggunaan pendekatan Problem-Based Learning dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf argumentasi. Namun demikian, ditemukan adanya kelemahan dalam menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran ini, yaitu dari segi persiapan yang harus guru lakukan.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan aplikasi Quizizz untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi teks cerita inspiratif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan dua siklus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat peningkatan antara siklus I dan siklus II. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan rerata hasil belajar antara siklus I dan siklus II. Pada siklus I, peserta didik tidak mengetahui penggunaan aplikasi Quizizz sehingga diperoleh rerata sebesar 69% sedangkan pada siklus II diperoleh rerata sebesar 82%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi Quizizz dapat digunakan oleh guru sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran.   The Effectiveness of the Quizizz Application to Improve Student Learning Outcomes on Inspirational Story Text Materials The use of information and communication technology can improve the quality of learning. This research aims to describe the effectiveness of the Quizizz application in improving student learning outcomes in inspirational story text material. The research method used is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. Based on the research results, there was an increase between cycle I and cycle II. This is indicated by an increase in the average learning outcomes between cycle I and cycle II. In cycle I, students did not know how to use the Quizizz application so the average was 69%, while in cycle II the average was 82%. Thus, it can be concluded that the Quizizz application can be used by teachers as an alternative technology-based learning media to achieve learning goals.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya proses pembelajaran yang monoton dan hanya bergantung pada buku teks serta materi tertulis yang seringkali membuat siswa merasa jenuh. Kurangnya variasi media pembelajaran tentu akan menghambat minat belajar dan menurunkan motivasi siswa. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya inovasi dalam penggunaan medai pembelajaran yang leih menarik. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran Articulate Storyline pada materi menulis teks deskripsi di kelas VII I SMPN 6 Kota Cirebon. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskripstif kualitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 35 siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui kegiatan observasi, wawancara dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa media berbantuan storyline mampu merangsang kreativitas siswa dalam memilih kata, menggunakan kalimat yang variatif, dan mengembangkan imajinasi dalam menggambarkan sesuatu. Selain itu, storyline juga membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan bermakna bagi siswa di kelas VII I SMPN 6 Kota Cirebon. Perception of Grade VII I I SMPN 6 Cirebon City Students on the Use of Media in Learning to Write Descriptive Texts ABSTRACT: This research is motivated by the monotonous learning process and only relying on textbooks and written materials which often make students feel bored. The lack of variety of learning media will certainly hinder students' interest in learning and reduce student motivation. Therefore, there needs to be innovation in the use of more interesting learning media. So this study aims to find out students' perceptions in the use of Articulate Storyline learning media in the material of writing descriptive texts in grade VII I SMPN 6 Cirebon City. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. This study involved 35 students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation activities, interviews and interviews. The results of the research conducted show that storyline-assisted media is able to stimulate students' creativity in choosing words, using varied sentences, and developing imagination in describing something. In addition, the storyline also makes the learning process more fun and meaningful for students in grade VII I SMPN 6 Cirebon City. KEYWORDS: Storyline, Description text, Creativity Enhancement..

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of the results of writing anecdotal text using the image-streaming method and describe the influence of the image-streaming learning method in improving the ability to write anecdotal text. This study used quantitative methods. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design model. The variables in This study are divided into two, namely the independent variable is the image-streaming learning method and the dependent variable is writing anecdotal text. The sample of this study amounted to 60 students divided into two groups, namely 30 students as an experimental class and 30 as a control class. Data collection is carried out by observation techniques and tests. The data of this study were analyzed with statistics assisted by the SPSS program. The results of this study show that students' ability to write anecdotal texts has increased. The use of the image streaming learning method provides stimulus to students in determining the framework for composing anecdotal texts so that students can write anecdotal texts well. In addition, the use of this image-streaming learning method has proven effective in improving students' ability to write anecdotal texts. Students are more motivated and active in learning.

Abstract

Learning to write opinion texts is very required in the Vocational Curriculum However, students still have many difficulties in writing opinion texts. This research aims to overcome the problem of writing opinion texts in vocational schools through a Project Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual media. The object of the research was carried out at SMK Budi Tresna Muhamadiyah Cirebon grade XII. The research method, through experiments, tests the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning model in improving students' ability to write opinion article texts. The research instrument is in the form of a test to collect data on students' ability to write opinion article texts with the help of audio-visual media. The test data is in the form of text of opinion articles written by students both through prates and post-tests. The results showed that learning in the experimental class using the Project Based Learning model got a score of 1790 with an average score of 89.5 higher than the control class using the contextual model got a score of 1340 with an average score of 67. In addition, the results of significant tests that have been carried out by the experimental class (KE) > the control class (KK), H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, then the VAK Project Based Learning model is declared effective. Based on the calculation of the significance test results, a calculation of 3,515 was obtained at a significant level of 5% and a table of 1,687. This shows that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, applying the Project Based Learning model to write opinion article texts for grade XII students of SMK Budi Tresna Muhammadiyah Cirebon for the 2024/2025 school year is effective.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of moral values in the Anthology of Short Stories Senyum Karyamin by Ahmad Tohari and its relevance in literary learning in high school. Through a qualitative-descriptive research method with content analysis techniques, the researcher found four main categories of moral values, namely values related to God, self, the social environment, and nature, with a strong dominance in social aspects. This tendency shows the author's ideological intention in framing social reality morally. The results of the study show that these values are relevant for the formation of students' character, especially in the aspects of spirituality, personal responsibility, interpersonal communication, and environmental concern. Therefore, this anthology is worthy of being used as a teaching resource in strengthening value-based literary literacy in grade XI of high school.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini akan menggambarkan keberadaan perempuan dianggap memiliki keterbatasan, selalu dipinggirkan atau dimarjinalkan, dinomorduakan baik dalam lingkungan keluarga maupun masyarakat. Dalam segala bidang, perempuan dianggap tidak memiliki kemampuan dibanding laki-laki, seperti dalam bidang sosial, pendidikan, politik, ekonomi, maupun dalam kaitan berorganisasi. Perempuan dalam budaya Jawa hanya sebagai pelengkap kaum laki-laki, yaitu bertugas di dapur, sumur, dan kasur. Artinya, posisi perempuan tidak memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan, tugasnya memasak, mencuci, dan menemani laki-laki saat tidur. Perlakun terhadap perempuan inilah yang memunculkan gerakan penyetaraan derajat perempuan terhadap laki-laki. Gerakan itu dinamakan feminisme. Feminisme merupakan salah satu gerakan yang menekankan pada penyetaraan gender antara laki-laki dan perempuan (Wiyatmi, 2012: 9) sebagai akibat perlakuan yang tidak adil terhadap kaum perempuan yang mengalami kesengsaraan, bahkan didudukkan jauh di bawah laki-laki (Djajanegara, 2003: 27). Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana bentuk ketidakadilan citra perempuan dalam novel Midah Si Manis Bergigi Emas karya Pramodya Ananta Toer.Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan citra tokoh utama dan mengetahui hubungannya antara tokoh utama dan tokoh lawan jenisnya. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data, seperti teknik pustaka, baca, dan catat. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan masukan dalam mendukung dan menggerakkan literasi sekolah dan sebagai bahan penawaran untuk materi ajar guru dalam pembelajaran sastra.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a necessary skill for problem-solving in learning, especially for prospective teacher students. This study investigates the critical thinking skills of prospective teacher students at Universitas Sindang Kasih Majalengka through literary analysis. This research is based on the claim that there is a low number of graduates with critical thinking abilities. Meanwhile, courses that focus on literary analysis involve critical thinking skills by utilizing various literary approaches. Critical thinking in this context focuses on indicators such as the ability to provide simple explanations, develop basic skills, summarize/conclude, provide more detailed explanations, and decide on the next strategy. Specifically, this research examines critical thinking skills in the context of literary analysis activities, including poetry, prose, and drama. The findings show that literary analysis activities provide space for prospective teacher students to train their critical thinking skills. The critical thinking abilities of each student vary, but the essay assignment framework in literary analysis provides a framework for critical thinking among students. This directly impacts the development of literacy and the ability to read critically literary works in Indonesia. AbstrakBerpikir kritis adalah kemampuan yang diperlukan untuk memecahkan masalah dalam pembelajaran, khususnya pada mahasiswa calon guru. Studi ini menyelidiki kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa calon guru di Universitas Sindang Kasih Majalengka melalui telaah karya sastra. Penelitian ini didasari oleh klaim rendahnya lulusan yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis. Sementara itu, mata kuliah yang berorientasi pada telaah karya sastra melibatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan memanfaatkan berbagai pendekatan sastra. Kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam hal ini berpusat pada indikator kemampuan memberikan penjelasan sederhana, mengembangkan keterampilan dasar, meringkas/kesimpulan, memberikan penjelasan yang lebih rinci, dan memutuskan strategi selanjutnya. Secara khusus, penelitian ini meneliti kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam kegiatan telaah karya sastra, baik puisi, prosa, maupun drama. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan telaah karya sastra memberikan ruang untuk mahasiswa calon guru dapat melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kemampuan berpikir kritis setiap mahasiswa relatif berbeda, tetapi konstruk penugasan esai dalam telaah sastra memberikan kerangka kerja berpikir kritis di kalangan mahasiswa. Hal ini berimplikasi langsung pada perkembangan literasi dan kemampuan membaca kritis karya sastra di Indonesia.
