Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan terhadap pengembangan instrumen penilaian Multiple Intelligences berbasis digital pada pendidikan anak usia dini di RA Takrimah, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah keterbatasan instrumen konvensional dalam menangkap potensi kecerdasan majemuk anak secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki pemahaman terhadap Teori Multiple Intelligences namun mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan penilaian karena belum tersedia sistem digital yang mampu merekam perkembangan anak secara real-time dan terintegrasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan instrumen digital Multiple Intellegences yang mudah digunakan, menarik bagi anak serta kompatibel dengan karakteristik pembelajaran di PAUD. Hasil analisis kebutuhan ini menjadi fondasi penting dalam merancang asesmen digital yang holistik, kontekstual dan berbasis pada realitas praktik guru di lapangan.

Abstract

Identitas diri merupakan komponen penting dari Kurikulum Mandiri yang harus dikembangkan sejak usia dini. Namun, observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa beberapa anak masih kesulitan membangun hubungan sosial yang sehat, seperti kesulitan bekerja sama, mengelola emosi, dan menunjukkan empati terhadap teman sebaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book berjudul “Teman Sejati” sebagai media pembelajaran untuk memperkenalkan identitas diri pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 25 anak TK B di TK Bungoeng Seulanga, Pidie Jaya, dengan satu ahli materi, satu ahli media, dan sembilan guru sebagai validator. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa e-book tersebut mendapat 78% dari ahli materi, 80% dari ahli media, dan 80% dari guru, semuanya dikategorikan sangat layak. Observasi selama implementasi juga menunjukkan peningkatan perilaku sosial anak, termasuk kerja sama, empati, dan regulasi emosi. Oleh karena itu, e-book “Teman Sejati” layak dan efektif sebagai media pembelajaran untuk mendukung pengembangan identitas diri dan keterampilan sosial emosional pada anak usia dini.

Abstract

Purpose: The digitalization of assessment instruments has become critical in early childhood education, yet implementation gaps persist. Multiple intelligence assessment continues to rely on manual methods that are time-consuming and prone to errors. This study analyzes the needs for digitalizing multiple intelligence assessment from teachers' perspectives, examining current practices, technological readiness, perceived benefits and barriers, and requirements for user-friendly digital systems. Methodology: A qualitative exploratory case study was conducted at Khalifah 3 Islamic Kindergarten, Indonesia, during 2024/2025. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with early childhood teachers as primary assessment implementers. Interviews explored current assessment practices, perceptions of digital technology, digital literacy levels, and digitalization needs. Data were analyzed thematically using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Diffusion of Innovations theory as analytical frameworks. Results: Findings reveal that the kindergarten has not implemented multiple intelligence assessment, with evaluation focused on standard Child Development Achievement Standards (STPPA). Teachers demonstrated positive perceptions toward digital tools with high perceived usefulness regarding time efficiency, documentation ease, improved accuracy, and collaborative capabilities. However, implementation faces constraints including limited digital literacy in advanced spreadsheet functions, inadequate technological infrastructure with insufficient devices and unstable connectivity, and absence of technical support, indicating low perceived ease of use. Conclusions: Based on TAM and Diffusion of Innovations frameworks, the kindergarten is in early technology adoption stages (knowledge and persuasion phases). The contrast between high perceived usefulness and low perceived ease of use indicates recognition of digital benefits but lack of implementation capabilities. Successful digitalization requires comprehensive institutional support including intensive digital literacy training, enhanced technological infrastructure, ongoing technical assistance, and user-friendly assessment templates. Digital transformation must follow a gradual approach encompassing digitalization roadmaps, continuous professional development, and sustained mentoring systems. These findings illuminate the gap between digital assessment potential and implementation reality, offering evidence-based recommendations for supporting teachers' transition to technology-enhanced assessment in resource-constrained contexts.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is essential in shaping children's character and spiritual intelligence from an early age. This study describes teacher strategies and inhibiting and supporting factors in developing students' spiritual intelligence at TK Negeri 2 Banda Aceh City. The research approach uses a qualitative case study research type. Sampling as research subjects uses a purposive sample of class B teachers as sources and students as observers—data collection through observation with subjects, interviews with teachers and documentation during the study. The data results were analyzed using Miles and Huberman with data reduction (codification), data presentation, and conclusion. The results show that the main strategies for developing spiritual intelligence are storytelling and praying together, singing Islamic songs, moral stories, muraja'ah, and educational tours to the mosque. The main supporting factors come from the family environment, social environment, such as school, teachers, and learning media. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include differences in family backgrounds, limited learning media, and the character of easily distracted children. Efforts to overcome obstacles are carried out through collaboration with parents, spontaneous strategies from teachers through questions and answers, and singing. This research contributes to strengthening the practice of early childhood spiritual education in the context of Islamic education and is a reference in developing character learning strategies in PAUD environments.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an merupakan salah satu keteladanan dalam mengembangkan aspek agama anak. Berdasarkan observasi awal terhadap kemampuan guru PAUD tingkat Kabupaten Gayo Lues dalam membaca Al-Qur’an masih sangat kurang, baik dari segi kemampuan; mengenal huruf, hukum tajwid, maupun tartil. Tiga indikator tersebut menjadi perhatian khusus bagi guru dalam kemampuan membaca Al-Quran untuk mengembangkan aspek agama anak. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan guru PAUD dalam membaca Al-Qur’an di Kabupaten Gayo Lues. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan lembaran wawancara dan dokumentasi hasil tes bacaan Al-Quran sebagai instrumen penelitian. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 30 guru (tes baca Al-Qur’an) dan 12 guru (wawancara). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAUD perlu perhatian khusus dalam membaca Al-Qur’an, dimana kemampuan tartil diperoleh 16.66 % (5 guru). Selain itu guru perlu pembinaan dalam tahsin huruf dan tajwid dimana data ditemukan bahwa 46,66 % (14 guru) dapat melafadhkan huruf dengan benar dan 30 % (9 guru) mampu membaca Al-Qur’an dengan tajwid yang benar. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan guru PAUD Gayo Lues dalam membaca Al-Quran masih perlu peningkatan baik dari segi membaca huruf, ilmu tajwid, maupun kemampuan bacaan Al-Qur’an dengan tartil. Kemampuan mengenal huruf dan tajwid serta aplikasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dapat menghasilkan kemampuan tartil.

Abstract

Purpose – This study investigates how Female Rangers in Bener Meriah Regency operationalize the Islamic concept of khalifah fil ardh (human stewardship of the Earth) as a lived pedagogical practice within early childhood environmental education. It seeks to bridge the gap between eco-theological discourse and community-based educational praxis.Design/methods/approach – Employing a qualitative single-case study design, this research was conducted in Damaran Baru Village, Aceh. Data were generated through in-depth semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The analytical process followed an iterative model involving data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, complemented by inductive thematic coding to identify recurring patterns of practice and meaning.Findings – The findings reveal that Female Rangers enact dual and intersecting roles as grassroots conservation agents and informal educators. Their environmental engagement is not merely technical but deeply rooted in moral-religious consciousness, positioning ecological care as an ethical obligation. Pedagogically, their influence emerges through children’s situated participation in everyday ecological practices. Four core strategies underpin this process: (1) embodied modelling of pro-environmental behavior, (2) experiential learning through direct participation, (3) integration of spiritual reflection linking nature to divine responsibility, and (4) contextual embedding of environmental values within communal and cultural routines. These strategies collectively construct an implicit curriculum that integrates ecological awareness with moral and spiritual development in early childhood.Research implications/limitations – This study contributes to Islamic eco-theology by demonstrating how the notion of stewardship is translated into concrete pedagogical action within community contexts. It advances the conceptualization of informal environmental education as a relational and value-driven process. However, as a single-site qualitative inquiry, the findings are context-specific and not intended for statistical generalization, though they offer analytical transferability to similar socio-cultural settings.Practical implications – The study highlights the importance of synergizing formal education, community initiatives, and faith-based ecological values in designing early childhood environmental education. It suggests that integrating local actors such as Female Rangers into educational ecosystems can enrich children’s holistic development, particularly in fostering environmental ethics from an early age.Originality/value – The article offers a grounded account of how women-led conservation can operate as an informal pedagogical infrastructure through which young children encounter environmental care as part of moral, spiritual, and communal life.Paper type Research paper

Abstract

Religious tolerance is an essential value that should be introduced from an early age, especially in Indonesia as a multicultural country with diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. Early childhood education (ECE) has an important role in fostering tolerant attitudes through meaningful learning experiences. One effective medium is local wisdom-based storybooks, which integrate cultural values and social norms into narratives accessible to children. This study aims to analyze religious tolerance values contained in local wisdom storybooks and their relevance to multicultural education in ECE. The research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis. Data sources include Indonesian folktales such as Bawang Merah dan Bawang Putih, Malin Kundang, Si Pitung, Lutung Kasarung, and Timun Mas. Data were collected through documentation and systematic reading, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that these storybooks contain values of respect for differences, empathy, solidarity, cooperation, and peaceful conflict resolution. These values support multicultural education in ECE through storytelling, discussions, role-playing, and culturally responsive learning activities. The study concludes that local wisdom storybooks are authentic and culturally relevant resources for developing children’s multicultural competence and religious tolerance from an early age.
