Abstract

Customary marriage is a traditional wedding ceremony that has been carried out for generations in Samalantan Village Binua Gajekng Bengkayang Regency. The problem in the research is how the inventory of terminology in traditional marriage, lexical meaning, cultural meaning, and semantic function. This study aims to describe the terminology in the traditional marriage process of the Dayak Badameay. The method used in this research is descriptive research method with qualitative research form. The data source in this research is Badamea Dayak language. The data in this study are the form of terminology of the traditional marriage process. The data collection technique used open chitchat technique, recording technique, and note-taking technique. The results of the analysis carried out based on the problems in the study which include pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation terminology. This research describes the form of inventory of terminology, lexical meaning, cultural meaning, and semantic function.   Based on data analysis, there are 54 data of terminology in the traditional marriage process of Dayak Badamea Binua Gajekng Bengkayang Regency. The lexical meaning amounted to 53 data, the cultural meaning amounted to 21 data, and the semantic function amounted to 54 data.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the forms of euphemisms, the benefits of euphemisms in Ustad Abdul Somad's lectures on Ustad Abdul Somad's Youtube Channel and how they are implemented in learning at school. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative form. The data collection technique used in this research is using documentary study techniques. This research produced 17 data, 1) 2 data used for abbreviations, 11 data for loan words, 2 data for foreign terms, 2 data for periphrases. Thus the form of euphemism that is more often used by Ustad Abdul Somad in lectures on Ustad Abdul Somad's Youtube Channel is the use of borrowed words. Then 2) for politeness and comfort as much as 6 data, To disguise the meaning as much as 6 data, To reduce embarrassment as much as 4 data, To carry out religious orders as much as 1 data. Thus the benefits of using euphemisms in Ustad Abdul Somad's lectures on the YouTube Channel Ustad Abdul Somad more often use euphemisms to disguise meaning as an effort to be polite in language.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the calasification of toponymy studies, the meaning of toponymy studiesz and produce a desriptive text structure of the Alwatzikhoebillah Palace, a supplement for learning Indonesian for class VII descriptive text material based on the study of toponymy around the Alwatzikhoebillah Palace. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The source of the data in this study is the speech of the informant who understands the study of toponymy or the naming of place names at the Alwatzikhoebillah Palace, Sambas Regency. Data collection technique are observation, interview, and note taking technique. Based on the overall data that has been analyzed, the are six naming classifications based on their referents, namely 4 categories based on plants, 2 categories based on ethnicity, 8 categories based on people's name, 9 categories based on stories, 1 category based on historical object, and 1 category based on buildings. The total number of data is 25. The meaning of the toponymy study consist of four types of meaning, namely lexical meaning, grammatical meaning, referential meaning, and associative meaning, implemented for desriptive text teaching materials in Indonesian language subject in the 2013 curriculum for class Vll odd semesters.

Abstract

This research was conducted by analyzing the terminology in the Jadi Mali procession in the Dayak Kerabat Menyapat community with the aim of describing an inventory of terminology in the Jadi Mali procession in the Dayak Kerabat Penyepat community, describing the form of lingual units of terminology in the Jadi Mali procession in the Dayak Kerabat Penyapat community, describing the meaning of the term in the Jadi Mali procession for the Dayak Kerabat Penyapat community, and describes the plan for implementing the terminology in the Jadi Mali procession for the Dayak Kerabat Penyapat community. The method used is a descriptive method and a form of qualitative research. The data source for this research is the Dayak Kerabat Penyepat language which is used in the customs of the Dayak Kerabat Menyapa community. The data of this research are words and phrases. The technique used is literature study, face-to-face conversation, and note-taking. Data collection tools are documents, questionnaires, and note sheets. Based on the analysis conducted, there are 90 terminology in the Jadi Mali procession consisting of words (monomorphemic, polymorphemic, affixation, and compound words) and phrases. The form of learning implementation contained in the RPP is adjusted to the 2013 curriculum for grade VII junior high school in odd semesters

Abstract

This research aims to describe the forms of code mixing and code switching that occur in the learning process at SMP Negeri 1 Terentang. Analyze data related to forms of code mixing and code switching, types of code mixing and code switching, and analyze the factors that influence them. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The data used in this research are speech uttered by teachers and students in the form of words, phrases and sentences related to code mixing and code switching. Data collection techniques include observation, recording techniques and note-taking techniques. The technique for testing the validity of the data is the technique of diligent observation and adequacy of references. This research produced a form of code mixing in 52 conversations, resulting in 77 code mixing data, with details of 45 word form data, 30 phrase form data, and 2 clause form data; 67 code mixed data into (Inner Code Mixing), 7 code mixed data out (Outer Code Mixing) and 3 mixed code mixed data(Hybrid Code Mixing); The code switching data contained in 10 conversations obtained 53 data in the form of code switching, with details of 7 data in the form of words and 46 data in the form of sentences. The 10 conversations were divided into two, namely 2 permanent code switches and 8 temporary code switches. All code switching data obtained includes inward code switching (Internal Code Switching). Social factors that influence code mixing and code switching are divided into four, namely social status, education level, age, and gender. There are five factors that influence the use of code mixing, including; (1) the speaker's personal and conversation factors 29 data, (2) the presence of a third speaker 2 data, (3) the interlocutor factor 3 data, (4) the prestige factor 7 data, (5) the subject matter factor 11 data; The factors that influence the use of code switching are 2 speaker factor data, 3 interlocutor factor data, and 5 conversation topic and situation factor data.

Abstract

The background of this research is done because when dialogue between figures in the film, there is a delivery of messages or intentions of speakers to speakers. The purpose of this study is to know and describe the type and function of the illocusion speech in the Yuni film. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative form of research. The source of the data in this study is the Yuni film by Kamila Andini. The data in this study is the illocumental speech in the Yuni film by Kamila Andini. The data collection technique performed in the study is documentation study. The data collector used in this study is a visual audio document in the form of films to collect data and use indicators of the type and function of illocusion speech to classify the speech. The instruments used in this study are the classification of the type and function of illocusion speech. The illocusion speech in the Yuni film totaled 43 data with details of 7 representative speakings, 24 directive speakings, 9 expressive speakings, 3 commissive speakings, 43 data are divided into 17 functions. As well as from this analysis can be implemented in Indonesian learning at the level of High Schools of criticism and essay text material

Abstract

This study aims to describe the style of comparative language; opposing language styles; linking language style; and the repetitive language style in the lyrics of the album Mengudara by Idgitaf. Language style is a variety of expressions of using language to obtain certain effects and has characteristics in conveying thoughts and feelings, both orally and in writing. Recently, the Indonesian music world has emerged many new musicians who are characterized by the lyrics they create and the way they deliver unique and impressive songs. One of the many Indonesian musicians who use word games in their lyrics is Brigitta Sriulina Beru Meliala or commonly known as Idgitaf. Idgitaf is a singer, songwriter, and content creator who started her career in 2020. This study uses a descriptive method in the form of qualitative research. The data collection technique uses observation techniques and documentary studies. This research found several types of language styles in the lyrics of the song album Mengudara by Idgitaf. The types of language styles in this study are: First, comparative language styles: simile language styles, metaphorical language styles, personification language styles, and antithesis language styles. Second, the language style of opposition: Hyperbolic language style, litotes language style, and irony language style. Third, linkage language styles: erotic language styles, parallelism language styles, ellipsis language styles, and gradient language styles. Fourth, repetitive language styles: Assonance language styles, anaphoric language styles, and epistrophic language styles.

Abstract

This research aims to describe phonological ability in Dani's pronunciation while reading a text, particularly concerning the deletion, addition, and substitution of phonemes. The method employed is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, utilizing Dani's reading data from Pontianak as the focal point of analysis. Primary data, consisting of observations, tests, interviews, recordings, and notations, forms the basis for understanding Dani's reading approach. Through data collection techniques such as observation, testing, interviewing, recording, and note-taking using devices and record sheets, the research identified phonological errors including inconsistent word shortening due to the deletion of sounds at the beginning and end of words, as well as additional sounds like vowels between consonants in various word positions. This research can enhance understanding of aphasia as a communication disorder that affects reading, writing, numerical skills, and conversation comprehension. It also serves as a significant reference in the field of linguistics for further research.

Abstract

The Pontianak Malay community has a culture that is still maintained, namely the procession between goods in the Pontianak Malay traditional wedding. In this case, the research focuses on rhyme speech in Pontianak Malay traditional marriages through acoustic phonetic studies. The problem in this study includes aspects of frequency and duration of rhyme speech in Pontianak Malay traditional marriages. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method and uses an acoustic phonetic study approach as an analytical study tool. The source of the data in this study was taken from the video recording of the marriage between Reza Okta Indriyandi, S.Kom and Emmy Rustianty, S.Sos. Data retrieval using documentation techniques with data collection tools, namely voice recorders, laptops, gadgets, and stationery. This research succeeded in getting 17 rhymes with a total of 68 target sentences. The final result of the data processing of this research is presented into tables and figures using the praat application as a data analysis tool. The data were analyzed based on their acoustic characteristics, namely frequency and duration. This research is expected to be documented so that it contributes to linguistic literature in phonology, especially regional languages.

Abstract

This research aims to describe forms of foreign and regional language interference in writing business name boards in Sungai Raya District, Kubu Raya Regency. Analyzing data related to forms of foreign and regional language interference, as well as the factors that cause interference. This research method is a qualitative descriptive method. The data sources for this research are business nameplates and business owners who have nameplates in Sungai Raya District. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and recording. This research produced 40 data on forms of foreign and regional language interference which included 21 foreign language vocabularies, 7 regional language vocabularies, and 2 foreign and regional language vocabularies. Foreign language morphological interference was not found, regional language morphological interference amounted to 3 data. Foreign language syntactic interference totaling 7 data includes foreign phrase patterns (M-D). Regional language syntactic interference was not found. Factors causing interference are (1) bilingualism, (2) low loyalty of the recipient's language, (3) Prestige source language and language style, (4) carrying over native language habits.
