Abstract

This study investigates how work stress, workload, and job satisfaction influence employee performance at UD XYZ is a trading-sector SME. Specifically, the study examines the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationships between work stress, workload, and performance. A quantitative associative research design was employed with a population of 35 employees using saturated sampling. Data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS 26, including validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, regression analysis, and path analysis. The results indicate that work stress significantly reduces job satisfaction and performance, while job satisfaction positively affects performance. Job satisfaction mediates the relationship between work stress and performance, serving as a psychological buffer that mitigates the effects of stress. In contrast, workload does not significantly influence job satisfaction or performance, nor does job satisfaction mediate the impact of workload. These findings imply that managing work stress and enhancing job satisfaction are crucial for sustaining employee performance in SMEs. However, the study is limited by its small sample size and focus on a single company. Therefore, caution should be exercised when generalizing the results, and opportunities exist for broader, multi-organizational research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Non Performing Loan (NPL), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO), and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) on Return on Assets (ROA) in conventional commercial banks. The method used in this study is panel data regression with a quantitative approach. The research sample was determined using purposive sampling technique and processed using EViews software13. The results show that Non-Performing Loan (NPL) has a positive but not significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) has a negative and significant effect on ROA, and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) has a negative but not significant effect on ROA. Simultaneously, NPL, BOPO, and LDR have a significant effect on ROA. These findings indicate that bank profitability is not only influenced by a single factor, but also by a combination of credit risk, operational efficiency, and liquidity. Therefore, optimal management of these three aspects is essential in improving banking profitability performance.

Abstract

Scientific publication frequently poses a crucial obstacle for students due to limited proficiency in literature mapping and identifying appropriate target journals. This community service activity aims to enhance students' competence in drafting scientific articles by integrating digital research tools. The scope of the program focuses on utilizing specialized software to identify high-quality references and formulating strategies to navigate reputable national journals indexed in Sinta 3. The participatory training was conducted through a synchronous online method using the Zoom Meeting platform. Through this activity, students acquired skills in operating mapping features within the Publish or Perish and Connected Papers applications to strengthen the theoretical foundations of their manuscripts. The implementation results demonstrate a significant improvement in students technical skills in scientific writing. In conclusion, the mastery of digital research tools effectively enhances the productivity and quality of students scientific outputs within the higher education environmen
