Abstract

Latar belakang pengabdian ini berasal dari evaluasi terhadap praktik pembelajaran geometri di tingkat pendidikan dasar. Evaluasi menunjukkan minimnya kepemilikan media pembelajaran geometri di sekolah-sekolah dasar serta terbatasnya kemampuan pendidik dalam mengkreasikan media pembelajaran berbasis konkret. Observasi mengungkap bahwa para pendidik di Kabupaten Pangkep cenderung mengandalkan video pembelajaran dari Youtube yang diproyeksikan melalui LCD, metode yang dinilai kurang efektif dalam menghadirkan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna. Merespons temuan ini, tim pengabdian menginisiasi program pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan media pembelajaran geometri berbasis konkret, (2) mengaplikasikan media hasil pelatihan dalam konteks pembelajaran nyata, dan (3) mendiseminasikan keterampilan pembuatan media kepada komunitas pendidik. Pendekatan yang digunakan mencakup serangkaian aktivitas: paparan materi, demonstrasi praktis, workshop pembuatan, dan uji coba pemanfaatan media oleh peserta. Program ini terlaksana dengan baik dengan partisipasi 50 pendidik sesuai rencana awal. Evaluasi melalui kuesioner menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan mencapai 88,5% dari seluruh peserta.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a project-based mathematics module to enhance 21st century skills of junior high school students. The ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model was employed in this research. The results indicate that the developed module meets highly valid criteria based on expert validation: content expert (90%), media expert (89%), and language expert (97%). The practicality test involving 9 mathematics teachers shows a percentage of 93% (very practical), while the practicality test with 30 students demonstrates positive results in the very practical category. The module is designed in accordance with the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) and integrates project-based learning to develop students' critical thinking, creative thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy skills.

Abstract

Unit Pembenihan Rakyat (UPR) Sipakatuo Kabupaten Pinrang merupakan salah satu pelaku usaha pembenihan ikan nila yang menghadapi tantangan dalam memperluas pasar. Selama ini, pemasaran masih terbatas pada metode manual dan pemanfaatan media sosial tanpa iklan berbayar. Hal ini berdampak pada stagnasi omzet meskipun permintaan pasar meningkat. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan omzet usaha melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan pemasaran digital. Metode kegiatan meliputi pelatihan pembuatan konten promosi, penggunaan google bisnis dan WhatsApp Bisnis, serta pendampingan implementasi strategi pemasaran digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi pengelola dalam membuat konten digital yang menarik, memperluas jangkauan konsumen, serta meningkatkan omzet penjualan benih. Kegiatan ini juga melibatkan mahasiswa sebagai pendamping lapangan yang memperoleh pengalaman praktis di luar kampus. Dengan demikian, pelatihan pemasaran digital terbukti efektif sebagai upaya pemberdayaan pengelola dan peningkatan daya saing UPR Sipakatuo di era digital.

Abstract

Generative artificial intelligence offers new opportunities to scaffold students’ mathematical reasoning, yet rigorous evidence of its impact on secondary students’ problem-solving remains limited. This study examined whether ChatGPT-driven adaptive learning improves eighth-grade students’ problem-solving performance on systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV) compared with conventional instruction. A pre–post-test control-group design was implemented with 47 eighth-grade students in Parepare, Indonesia (experimental n = 24; control n = 23) during the 2024/2025 academic year. The experimental group used ChatGPT as an adaptive tutor aligned with Polya’s stages (understand, plan, execute, look back) through guided prompts, hints, and feedback. In contrast, the control group received a lecture and practice. Students completed a six-item contextual SPLDV test scored with a Polya-based rubric. Between-group differences were tested on post-test scores and normalized gains after verifying normality and homogeneity assumptions. The experimental group achieved higher post-test performance (M = 68.33) than the control group (M = 59.57), with a significant difference (p = 0.019; η² = 0.117). Learning gains were also larger in the experimental group (mean N-gain = 0.34, medium) than in the control group (0.21, low; p = 0.001; η² = 0.372). Indicator-level patterns suggested the greatest improvements in understanding the problem and carrying out the plan, whereas devising a plan remained the most challenging stage in both groups. These findings indicate that ChatGPT-based adaptive scaffolding can enhance students’ mathematical problem-solving on SPLDV, but explicit teacher-guided routines are needed to strengthen strategic planning and the critical evaluation of AI outputs.
