Abstract

Abstract

Responden paling banyak mengalami reaksi lokal setelah diberikan vaksinasi Covid-19 jenis Sinovac yaitu sebanyak 25 responden (30%).

Abstract

Nutritional issues among children remain a significant public health concern in Indonesia, as indicated by the high prevalence of stunting and obesity due to suboptimal fulfillment of balanced nutrition. Parental motivation plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of children's nutritional intake, although it is often influenced by limited knowledge and inadequate support. Peer education is considered an effective strategy to enhance parental motivation by optimizing interactions among parents to share information and experiences related to the implementation of balanced nutrition practices. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of peer education on improving parents' motivation to fulfill balanced nutrition for elementary school students. This study was a pre-experimental design. The population consisted of parents of elementary school children in Palembang City, with a total of 20 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The intervention was conducted through peer education sessions facilitated by parents. The results of the statistical test showed a significant increase in parental motivation following the intervention, with a p-value of 0.035. Parents are encouraged to optimize their role in providing balanced dietary intake for their children by maintaining strong motivation as an effort to help prevent nutritional status problems in children.

Abstract

Nutritional deficiency during pregnancy can lead to anemia, which affects fetal growth and increases the risk of stunting in infants. Natural interventions using nutrient-rich foods may provide safe alternatives to address hemoglobin deficiency in pregnant women. Objective: This research aims to evaluate the effect of healthy drinks containing dragon fruit and soybean on hemoglobin level changes in third-trimester pregnant women as a preventive measure against infant stunting. This quantitative research employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample was selected using a non-probability sampling technique with a total of 24 respondents at the Palembang City Health Center from February to April 2024. This research used instruments for measuring hemoglobin levels and SOPs for administering healthy drinks. The analysis was carried out using the paired samples t-test. The average hemoglobin (Hb) level before administration of red dragon fruit juice in third-trimester pregnant women was 10.58 g/dL, while the average hemoglobin (Hb) level after administration of red dragon fruit juice in third-trimester pregnant women was 10.87 g/dL, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. There was a significant effect of healthy drink administration on hemoglobin levels in third-trimester pregnant women between before and after the intervention.

Abstract

In 2021 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) type 2 contributes to more than 90% of the total diabetes cases globally, which means more than 482.94 million individuals suffer from this disease. This figure is believed to be higher because there are still many residents who have not been detected. In Indonesia, early detection of type 2 DM is integrated with the Posbindu program, but it is still not running optimally because there is no instrument that can identify high-risk community groups. Objective: This study aims to design an early detection assessment questionnaire for type 2 DM that can be used by health cadres. Method: This study used research and development method. According of the 10 steps of the research and development method, researchers only used 9 steps due to environmental conditions, limited time and research costs. The product that will be produced in this research is an early detection assessment instrument in the form of a questionnaire consisting of questions related to signs and symptoms as well as risk factors for type 2 DM. The population consists of people in the working area of the Puskesmas Simpang Timbangan. The data analysis technique used during product testing is validity testing using Pearson product moment and reliability testing using Cronbach's alpha with validity value r count > r table (0.3008) and reliability value 0.746 (> 0.60). Results: From the development of the questionnaire, 15 closed questions were obtained that were valid and reliable for use. Conclusions: This early detection assessment questionnaire can be used by health cadres in early detection of risk factors for DM Type 2 in the community.
