Abstract

This study aims to improve students' appreciative listening skills for stories using podcast media in class VB at SDN Pondok Bambu 02 Jakarta, consisting of 31 students. This research is a class  action research using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of three meetings. The minimum success score is 70, with a total of 85% of students achieving it. The results obtained in the first cycle were 64% and 87% in the second cycle. The improvement that occurred shows that podcast media proves to be able to enhance story appreciative listening skills in class VB at SDN Pondok Bambu 02 Jakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the use of slang that is developing on TikTok social media on the narrative writing skills of seventh-grade students at SMPN 14 Tangerang. The background of this study is based on the widespread use of non-standard language by adolescents in everyday life, which is indirectly carried over into academic contexts, especially when writing. This study uses a quantitative correlational approach with a survey method in the form of a questionnaire and document analysis in the form of student narrative essays. The research sample consisted of 32 students from grade VIIG. The results showed that the majority of students were active users of slang, both in daily social interactions and in narrative writing. The slang found included types of omissions/replacements of letters, abbreviations, puns, and foreign language vocabulary. Of the 32 narrative essays analyzed, only two of them did not contain slang elements. These findings indicate a significant influence of TikTok slang on students' writing skills, particularly in terms of formality and narrative structure. While slang can enhance students' creativity and self-expression, its presence also poses challenges to mastering formal Indonesian, which is essential in education. This study recommends learning strategies that emphasize contextual awareness of language use so students can distinguish when and how to use appropriate language varieties.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of student affairs by the Vice Principal of Student Affairs in strengthening the extracurricular competency of Paskibra at SMP Negeri 7 Samarinda. Student competency in extracurricular activities, especially Paskibra, requires effective managerial support to be able to develop optimally. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the Vice Principal of Student Affairs has a strategic role in planning, implementing, and evaluating Paskibra activities. Management is carried out systematically through the preparation of annual programs, routine coaching, and collaboration with extracurricular instructors. Obstacles faced include limited facilities and lack of active student participation, but can be overcome through a collaborative approach and continuous motivation. In conclusion, good management of student affairs contributes significantly to improving student competency in Paskibra activities.

Abstract

Students in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms often face difficulties in developing their speaking skills due to limited vocabulary, pronunciation problems, and low self-confidence, which hinder their ability to communicate effectively. To address this issue, this study aimed to analyze the implementation of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) in improving students’ speaking skills and to explore their perceptions toward its use in the classroom. The research was conducted in a junior high school in Karawang, Indonesia, involving one English teacher and 40 eighth-grade students, with six purposively selected as interview participants. A qualitative case study design was employed, using classroom observations and semi-structured interviews as the main techniques of data collection. Thematic analysis was applied to interpret the data. The findings show that TBLT was implemented through three stages, namely pre-task, task cycle, and post-task, using recount texts as the learning material. During these stages, students actively participated in pair discussions, presented their work, and received feedback, which contributed to the improvement of their classroom engagement and confidence. Nevertheless, several challenges were identified, including vocabulary limitations, pronunciation difficulties, and variations in students’ levels of confidence. Overall, students perceived TBLT positively, emphasizing that collaborative learning and meaningful tasks encouraged them to be more active in communication. This study concludes that TBLT plays a significant role in enhancing students’ speaking skills and provides practical implications for EFL teachers in designing interactive and student-centered learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning model on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 173604 Pangururan in the 2024/2025 academic year. The method used was quantitative with the population being all fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 173604 Pangururan, while the research sample consisted of 22 students determined through boring sampling (total sampling). Data on the Project Based Learning model was obtained through a questionnaire distributed to students, while learning outcome data was obtained from students' pretest and posttest scores in the 2024/2025 academic year. The results showed that student learning outcomes with the application of Project Based Learning were in the very good category with an average posttest score of 80.18. The correlation test showed a value of 0.811, which means that rcount 0.811 ≥ rtabel 0.444, so Ha was accepted. Thus, there is a very strong influence between the application of Project Based Learning and the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 173604 Pangururan This is also reinforced by the t-test results, which show that tcount ≥ ttable, namely 6.192 ≥ 1.717 so Ha is accepted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of the Project Based Learning model has a positive and significant effect on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 173604 Pangururan in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media Genially dalam pembelajaran teks drama pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Pangean. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada rendahnya, pemahaman siswa terhadap unsur intrinsik dan struktur teks drama akibat pembelajaran konvensional yang monoton dan dominan menggunakan metode ceramah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group, melibatkan kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan dengan media Genially dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pemahaman teks drama yang divalidasi dan diuji reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan signifikan, dengan rata-rata nilai posttest 83,38 dibandingkan 66,14 pada kelas kontrol. Uji hipotesis Mann-Whitney menghasilkan signifikansi < 0,001, yang menegaskan adanya perbedaan nyata antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, media Genially terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap teks drama serta mampu menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth- grade students of SD Negeri 173593 Parsoburan. The research method used is an experimental method which is classified as a quantitative reseach type. The sample of this study was all IV grade students totaling 28 students, so the sampling technique used saturated samples. The results of data analysis showed that the average pre-test score of 60,14 increased to 84,14 in the post-test. The results of this study indicate that the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 173593 Parsoburan are included in the veru strong category with a correlation coefficient of 0,959 so that rcount (0,959) ≥ rtable (0,374). The results of hypothesis testing show that tcount (17,244) ≥ ttable (2,056), so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive influence between the cooperative learning model of the Think Pair Share type on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 173593 Parsoburan. This is proven by the coefficient of 0,919, which means that 91,9% of the model used is effective in improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 173593 Parsoburan.

Abstract

His study aims to analyze the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) model. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of fourth-grade Mathematics subjects were 84,44 with a good category. Of the 25 students studied, 21 students (84%) met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKTP), while 4 students (16%) did not meet the KKTP. This study is a type of quantitative research that aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) model on student learning outcomes in Mathematics subjects in fourth-grade SD Negeri 067093 Medan Helvetia. The population was all fourth-grade students totaling 25 students. The sample was taken based on a total sampling technique of 25 students. Student learning outcomes showed that the average value of fourth-grade students in the pre-test was 57,76 while the post-test value was 84,44. The results of this study indicate that students' Mathematics learning outcomes using the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model are included in the strong category with a correlation coefficient of 0.963, which means r count (0.369) ≥ r table so Ha is accepted. Furthermore, the hypothesis test showed a calculated t of 8.416, while the t table was 2.060. This proves that the hypothesis is greater than the t table. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Think Pair Share (TPS) model (X) has a positive and significant influence on learning outcomes (Y). This indicates that the Think Pair Share (TPS) model has an effect on students' science learning outcomes. Therefore, all questionnaire instruments in this study are declared reliable and trustworthy, as they have met the minimum requirements.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Teacher Professionalism and Student Creativity on the Learning Outcomes of Class VI Students of Kapanewon Pleret Yogyakarta. This study was conducted from December 2023 to January 2024. The research method used is quantitative research by means of In this study the sample was grade VI students in each cluster in Kapanewon Pleret, Bantul Regency which was calculated using a random sampling technique totaling 84 people determined by the Solvin formula. The results of this study indicate that the t-test results show that individually if teacher professionalism and student creativity each have a positive and significant influence on learning outcomes. The variable of teacher professionalism is more dominant than student creativity in influencing student learning outcomes. The results of the F test show that teacher professionalism and student creativity have a positive effect on the learning outcomes of Class VI students of Kapanewon Pleret. The results of the determinant analysis show that the variables of teacher professionalism and student creativity each have a sufficient correlation with learning outcomes. Both variables are able to explain their influence on learning outcomes by 39% while 61% is explained by other variables outside the research concept.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the culture values contained in the earth alms tradition in Tegowanu Village, Tegowany District, Grobogan Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, employing data collection techniques such as interviews and library research (i.e. reading and taking notes from books or journals). Tegowanu has a sedekah bumi tradition that is held once a year in the “Bulan Apit” (in the Javanese calendar) and the month of Dzulqo’dah (in the Hijri calendar). The execution of this sedekah bumi tradition consists of: bathing (penjamasan) sacred heirloom objects, ambengan (communal meal), and a shadow puppetry performance. The findings showa that the sedekah bumi tradition actually holds deeply embedded cultural values, such as: local wisdom, mutual cooperation (gotong royong), tolerance, togetherness among residents, and social care.
