Abstract

Abstrak: Masalah rendahnya kesadaran dan partisipasi wanita usia subur (WUS) dalam skrining kanker serviks masih menjadi tantangan di Kelurahan Lambara, Kota Palu, yang ditunjukkan oleh sebagian besar masyarakat belum pernah melakukan deteksi dini. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan partisipasi WUS dalam deteksi dini kanker serviks berbasis komunitas. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pengkajian awal, edukasi kesehatan, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), serta skrining IVA dan HPV DNA dengan mitra masyarakat setempat. Sasaran kegiatan terdiri dari 101 kepala keluarga (KK), 30 peserta FGD dari tiga RT, dan 12 WUS yang mengikuti skrining. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi partisipasi, keterlibatan diskusi, dan capaian jumlah peserta skrining sebagai indikator output kegiatan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat tentang kanker serviks, meningkatnya kesadaran deteksi dini, serta keterlibatan 12 WUS dalam skrining setelah edukasi dan pendampingan berbasis komunitas. Simpulan: pendekatan edukasi dan skrining berbasis komunitas efektif meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi WUS dalam deteksi dini kanker serviks di tingkat masyarakat.Abstract: Low awareness and participation of women of reproductive age (WRA) in cervical cancer screening remain a public health challenge in Lambara Village, Palu City, as indicated by the majority of women who have never undergone early detection. This community service program aimed to improve knowledge and participation of WRA in community-based cervical cancer early detection. The methods included an initial community assessment, health education, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and screening using Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) and HPV DNA tests in collaboration with local community partners. The target participants consisted of 101 households, 30 FGD participants from three neighborhood units, and 12 WRA who underwent screening. Evaluation was conducted through observation of participation, engagement during discussions, and the number of women who participated in screening as output indicators. The results showed increased community understanding, improved awareness of early detection, and participation of 12 WRA in screening after education and community-based assistance. In conclusion, community-based education and screening approaches were effective in improving awareness and participation in cervical cancer early detection at the community level.

Abstract

Abstrak: Stunting tetap menjadi salah satu masalah gizi utama di dunia, yang mencerminkan kegagalan tumbuh kronis selama 1.000 hari pertama kehidupan. Keterbatasan kapasitas kader kesehatan masyarakat turut berkontribusi terhadap praktik pencegahan yang kurang optimal di tingkat rumah tangga. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader dalam mencegah serta menangani stunting. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dalam bentuk ceramah dan diskusi yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penyegaran kader tentang penanggulangan stunting. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 21 kader kesehatan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bambu melalui pendidikan kesehatan dan pelatihan terstruktur. Efektivitas dievaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test yang terdiri atas 20 butir pertanyaan. Indikator keberhasilan kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan skor pengetahuan dan partisipasi aktif peserta. Pengetahuan kader meningkat dari nilai rata-rata 90,95 menjadi 97,86, disertai penurunan standar deviasi yang menunjukkan pemahaman peserta lebih seragam setelah intervensi. Program ini juga membentuk Kelompok KASTURI (Kader Aktif Sadar Stunting untuk Remaja, Ibu, dan Anak) sebagai struktur komunitas berkelanjutan yang mendukung edukasi rutin, pemantauan tumbuh kembang, serta penyebaran informasi gizi dan kesehatan reproduksi.Abstract: Stunting remains one of the major global nutrition problems, reflecting chronic growth failure during the first 1,000 days of life. Limited capacity of community health cadres contributes to suboptimal prevention practices at the household level. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of health cadres in preventing and managing stunting. The methods used included counseling through lectures and discussions, followed by refresher training on stunting prevention. The activity involved 21 health cadres in the working area of Bambu Health Center through structured health education and training. Effectiveness was evaluated using pre-test and post-test assessments consisting of 20 questions. The indicators of success were improvements in knowledge scores and active participant engagement. The cadres’ average knowledge score increased from 90.95 to 97.86, accompanied by a decrease in standard deviation, indicating more uniform understanding after the intervention. The program also established the KASTURI Group (Active Cadres Aware of Stunting for Adolescents, Mothers, and Children) as a sustainable community structure to support routine education, growth and development monitoring, and dissemination of nutrition and reproductive health information.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tantangan krisis air, inefisiensi produksi, dan akumulasi limbah ternak menuntut transformasi sistem pertanian menuju model yang lebih cerdas dan berkelanjutan. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan hardskill teknis dan softskill manajerial mitra melalui penerapan irigasi hemat air dan sistem pertanian–peternakan terpadu berbasis smart farming dan zero waste. Metode meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, demoplot, instalasi teknologi, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi berkala pada kelompok tani (28 orang) dan kelompok ternak (20 orang). Indikator keberhasilan mencakup peningkatan pemahaman (≥80%), keterampilan operasional (dari ±30% menjadi ±70% anggota), perubahan praktik budidaya (75%), efisiensi pengelolaan (80%), dan pengolahan limbah (85%). Hasil menunjukkan efisiensi air meningkat 70%, produktivitas jeruk bertambah ±6,7 ton/tahun, penghematan pupuk Rp5.000.000 per 0,2 ha, dan pendapatan naik menjadi >Rp3.500.000/bulan. Produksi telur meningkat 20%, limbah diolah ±1 ton/bulan, serta penghematan energi biogas setara Rp20.000/hari. Program terbukti efektif meningkatkan kapasitas, efisiensi, dan kemandirian mitra secara terukur.Abstract: Water scarcity, production inefficiency, and livestock waste accumulation demand a transformative shift toward smarter and more sustainable agricultural systems. This program aimed to enhance both technical hardskills and managerial softskills of beneficiaries through the implementation of water-efficient irrigation and an integrated smart farming–zero waste agricultural-system. The methods included socialization, training,demonstration plots,technology installation,as well as continuous mentoring and evaluation involving a farmer group(28members) and a livestock group(20members). Success indicators comprised increased conceptual understanding (≥80%), improvement in operational skills (from approximately30%to70% of members), changes in cultivation practices (75%), management efficiency (80%), and waste processing capacity (85%). The results showed a 70% improvement in water-use efficiency, an increase of ±6.7tons/year in citrus productivity, fertilizer cost savings of IDR 5,000,000per0.2 ha, and income growth to>IDR 3,500,000/month. Egg production increased by 20%, ±1ton/month of waste was processed, and biogas utilization generated energy savings equivalent to IDR 20,000perday. The program effectively strengthened beneficiaries’ capacity, efficiency, and economic self-reliance.

Abstract

Abstrak: Remaja masih menghadapi berbagai permasalahan kesehatan reproduksi yang dipengaruhi oleh keterbatasan akses informasi yang benar dan menyeluruh, termasuk di lingkungan pendidikan berbasis keagamaan. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi meningkatkan perilaku berisiko apabila tidak diimbangi dengan edukasi yang sesuai. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan santri mengenai kesehatan reproduksi remaja, pernikahan dini, dan NAPZA. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyuluhan kesehatan bekerja sama dengan Madrasah Aliyah di Kecamatan Martapura Timur dengan melibatkan 49 santri. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, diskusi tanya jawab, pemanfaatan media video dan leaflet, serta permainan edukatif. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengukuran pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 40,8% santri mengalami peningkatan nilai pengetahuan, disertai meningkatnya partisipasi dan keterlibatan santri selama proses edukasi. Peningkatan pemahaman juga terlihat pada seluruh topik materi yang disampaikan, sehingga berkontribusi memperkuat pengetahuan kesehatan reproduksi remaja di sekolah.Abstract: Teenagers still face various reproductive health issues influenced by limited access to accurate and comprehensive information, including in religious-based educational environments. This condition has the potential to increase risky behavior if not balanced with appropriate education. This community service activity aimed to increase students' knowledge about adolescent reproductive health, early marriage, and drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. The activity was carried out in the form of health education in collaboration with Madrasah Aliyah in East Martapura District, involving 49 students. The methods used included lectures, question and answer discussions, the use of videos and leaflets, and educational games. Evaluation was conducted by measuring knowledge before and after the activity using a questionnaire. The results of the activity showed that 40.8% of students experienced an increase in knowledge scores, accompanied by increased participation and involvement of students during the education process. An increase in understanding was also seen in all topics covered, so this activity contributed to strengthening knowledge of adolescent reproductive health in the school environment.

Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan gizi anak di wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Barru ditandai oleh meningkatnya prevalensi stunting, rendahnya pemanfaatan pangan lokal bergizi, keterbatasan inovasi UMKM pengolahan ikan, serta rendahnya literasi gizi dan hukum keluarga pesisir. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas kader Posyandu dan UMKM penggaraman ikan melalui pengembangan pangan fungsional berbasis ikan dan kelor, penguatan literasi gizi dan hukum, serta integrasi produk lokal sebagai dukungan intervensi gizi anak. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, penyuluhan, workshop, praktikum, penerapan teknologi tepat guna, dan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Mitra kegiatan terdiri atas 15 anggota UMKM penggaraman ikan dan 15 kader Posyandu. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test, yang terdiri dari 10 soal pilihan ganda, observasi partisipatif, serta monitoring berkelanjutan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan hard skill pengolahan pangan fungsional dari 40% menjadi 80% (naik 40%), kemampuan re-branding dan pengemasan higienis dari 10% menjadi 100%, serta peningkatan literasi hukum UMKM dari 10% menjadi 100%. Soft skill kader Posyandu dalam edukasi gizi meningkat dari 30% menjadi 100%. Penerapan teknologi pengering dan kemasan vakum meningkatkan kualitas produk dan nilai ekonomis UMKM secara signifikan.Abstract: Child nutrition problems in coastal areas of Barru Regency are characterized by increasing stunting prevalence, low utilization of nutritious local food resources, limited innovation among fish-processing MSMEs, and inadequate nutrition and legal literacy within coastal families. This community service program aimed to strengthen the capacity of Posyandu cadres and fish-salting MSMEs through the development of functional foods based on fish and moringa, improvement of nutrition and legal literacy, and integration of local products to support child nutrition interventions. The methods included socialization, counseling sessions, workshops, hands-on practicums, appropriate technology application, and continuous mentoring. The program involved 15 members of fish-salting MSMEs and 15 active Posyandu cadres. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests, consisting of 10 multiple choice questions, participatory observation, and ongoing monitoring. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in hard skills related to functional food processing, increasing from 40% to 80% (a 40% increase), while re-branding, hygienic packaging, and legal literacy competencies improved from 10% to 100%. Soft skills of Posyandu cadres in nutrition education increased from 30% to 100%. The application of drying and vacuum-packaging technology enhanced product quality and increased the economic value of MSME products.

Abstrak: Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah rendahnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan teknis masyarakat dan teknisi lokal dalam merancang serta memasang sistem pentanahan listrik gedung yang aman dan sesuai standar PUIL dan SNI. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas teknis mitra melalui pelatihan sistem pentanahan listrik berbasis praktik lapangan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, simulasi, dan praktikum lapangan yang melibatkan 15 peserta dari Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) dan masyarakat sekitar. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test sebanyak 15 pertanyaan serta observasi keterampilan praktik peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman teknis peserta lebih dari 70%, serta peningkatan keterampilan hardskill berupa kemampuan melakukan instalasi elektroda pentanahan dan pengukuran resistansi tanah secara mandiri menggunakan alat ukur standar. Selain itu, terbentuk kelompok teknisi lokal sebagai agen diseminasi pengetahuan, yang berpotensi meningkatkan nilai ekonomis jasa instalasi listrik yang lebih aman dan sesuai standar.Abstract: The main problem faced by collaborators is the low level of technical knowledge and skills among the community and local technicians in designing and installing a safe and standard-compliant building electrical grounding system according to PUIL and SNI. This service activity aims to enhance the technical capacity of partners thru practical field-based electrical grounding system training. The implementation methods include socialization, technical training, simulations, and field practice, involving 15 participants from the Vocational Training Center (BLK) and the surrounding community. Evaluation was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests, as well as observation of participants' practical skills. The results of the activity show an increase in participants' technical knowledge and understanding by more than 70%, as well as an improvement in hard skill, such as the ability to independently install grounding electrodes and measure soil resistance using standard measuring instruments. Additionally, local technician groups were formed as knowledge dissemination agents, potentially increasing the economic value of safer and standard-compliant electrical installation services.

Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatan jumlah penduduk menyebabkan akumulasi sampah organik yang berpotensi menimbulkan permasalahan lingkungan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Sejalan dengan penerapan ekonomi sirkular, sektor pertanian memiliki peluang untuk mengintegrasikan pengelolaan limbah dengan peningkatan ketahanan pangan dan pendapatan masyarakat. Mitra Kegiatan pengabdian yakni Ibu-ibu PKK Desa Pantai Labu Baru., Kecamatan Pantai Labu, Kabupaten Deli Serdang .[As1.1][SS1.2] Programrogram bertujuan mengoptimalkan penggunaan sumber daya melalui pelatihan pengelolaan limbah rumah tangga berbasis maggot, pemanfaatan pupuk kasgot, pakan ternak serta budidaya sayuran pekarangan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan terhadap mitra yakni Ibu anggota PKK Desa Pantau Labu Barumasyarakat[As2.1][SS2.2] yang berjumlah 35 orang.. Indikator dari keberhasilan program ini yakni peserta dapat menerapkan pengelolaan sampah organik dengan bantuan maggot, selanjutnya peserta memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah dengan membudidayakan berbagai jenis sayuran dan budidaya ternak dari hasil kasgot dan pakan ternak dari limbah dari maggot. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan secara keseluruhan, hasil perbandingan pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata peningkatan pemahaman dan sikap peserta pada seluruh indikator mencapai sekitar 63%, yang mengindikasikan efektivitas kegiatan dalam meningkatkan kapasitas peserta terkait pengelolaan limbah, budidaya maggot, dan pemanfaatan pekarangan.Abstract: The increase in population has led to the accumulation of organic waste, which may cause environmental problems if not properly managed. In line with the implementation of the circular economy concept, the agricultural sector offers opportunities to integrate waste management with improvements in household food security and community income. The community service partner in this program was the PKK group of Pantai Labu Baru Village, Pantai Labu Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency. The program aimed to optimize resource utilization through training on maggot-based household waste management, the use of frass (kasgot) as organic fertilizer, animal feed production, and home-yard vegetable cultivation. The methods employed included socialization, training, and community mentoring. The results indicate that the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores shows an average improvement of approximately 63% in participants’ knowledge and attitudes across all indicators, demonstrating the effectiveness of the program in enhancing participants’ capacity in waste management, maggot cultivation, and productive yard utilization.

Abstract

Abstrak: Rendahnya literasi digital dalam pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (AI) yang berimplikasi pada rendahnya produktivitas publikasi ilmiah sivitas akademika menjadi latar belakang utama kegiatan pengabdian ini. Kegiatan ini dirancang secara spesifik untuk menjembatani kesenjangan kapabilitas tersebut, dengan tujuan utama membekali peserta melalui pelatihan intensif mengenai pemanfaatan AI secara praktis, efektif, dan etis guna mengakselerasi keseluruhan alur kerja penulisan ilmiah, mulai dari tahap ideasi hingga finalisasi naskah. Diimplementasikan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang kolaboratif, kegiatan ini melibatkan 75 dosen dan mahasiswa dari Fakultas Sastra, Fatoni University, Thailand, sebagai partisipan aktif dalam sebuah lokakarya interaktif yang diselenggarakan selama dua hari. Metode ini memastikan relevansi dan pemberdayaan peserta melalui integrasi materi konseptual tentang urgensi dan etika AI, demonstrasi penggunaan Elicit/QuillBot/Mendeley, praktik langsung pada riset peserta, serta diskusi terpandu untuk pemecahan masalah kontekstual Hasil evaluasi program menunjukkan dampak intervensi yang sangat signifikan dan terukur. Analisis kuantitatif dari perbandingan skor pre-test dan post-test membuktikan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan kompetensi peserta dengan kenaikan rata-rata sebesar 78%.Abstract: A low level of digital literacy in the use of artificial intelligence (AI), which has implications for the low productivity of scientific publications by the academic community, is the main background for this community service activity. This activity was specifically designed to bridge this capability gap, with the main objective of equipping participants through intensive training on the practical, effective, and ethical use of AI to accelerate the entire scientific writing process, from the ideation stage to the finalization of manuscripts. Implemented using a collaborative Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, this activity involved 75 lecturers and students from the Faculty of Literature, Fatoni University, Thailand, as active participants in a two-day interactive workshop. This method ensured the relevance and empowerment of participants through the integration of conceptual material on the urgency and ethics of AI, demonstrations of the use of Elicit/QuillBot/Mendeley, hands-on practice on participants' research, and guided discussions for contextual problem solving. The program evaluation results showed a very significant and measurable impact of the intervention. Quantitative analysis of pre-test and post-test score comparisons demonstrated an increase in participants' understanding and competence, with an average increase of 78%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pergaulan bebas merupakan salah satu permasalahan sosial yang sering dihadapi oleh remaja dan berpotensi berdampak negatif terhadap masa depan generasi muda. Kurangnya pemahaman serta pengawasan menjadi faktor utama yang menyebabkan remaja mudah terjerumus dalam perilaku menyimpang. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai bahaya pergaulan bebas kepada siswa-siswi SMA melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan evaluasi berbasis pre-test dan post-test, dengan jumlah peserta kegiatan sebanyak 40 siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa dari 22% sebelum kegiatan menjadi 91% setelah kegiatan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran remaja terhadap pentingnya menjaga diri dari pengaruh negatif lingkungan pergaulan.Abstract: Promiscuity is a social problem frequently faced by adolescents and has the potential to negatively impact the future of the younger generation. Lack of understanding and supervision are key factors contributing to adolescents' vulnerability to deviant behavior. This community service activity aimed to educate students of State Senior High School 1 Katingan about the dangers of promiscuity through pre- and post-test-based outreach and evaluation activities. Forty students participated in the activity. Results showed an increase in student understanding, from 22% before the activity to 91% after the activity. This demonstrates that outreach is effective in raising adolescent awareness of the importance of protecting themselves from the negative influences of their social environment.

Abstract

Abstrak: Desain Interior perpustakaan sekolah adalah elemen penting dalam peningkatan minat baca sekaligus literasi siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hardskill mitra dalam perencanaan teknis interior serta softskill dalam penyelesaian masalah desain melalui pendekatan partisipatif. Kondisi ruang perpustakaan SMP Negeri Arun yang dibangun pada tahun 1980-an membutuhkan pengkinian untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang nyaman, fungsional, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan terkini sekolah. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan meliputi Focus Group Discussion dan praktik perancangan desain berbasis design thinking dengan lima tahapan yaitu empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Tahap emphatize terdiri dari observasi lapangan, wawancara dan pengukuran objektif untuk memahami kebutuhan pengguna. Tahap define mengidentifikasi masalah inti meliputi penataan ruang tidak optimal, pencahayaan kurang memadai, furniture tidak ergonomis, dan zonasi yang tidak sesuai. Tahap ideate menghasilkan solusi desain yang dikonsultasikan secara berkala dengan stakeholders. Tahap prototype menghasilkan dokumen Detail Engineering Design (DED) dan visualisasi 3D. Tahap test melakukan validasi desain dengan komunitas sekolah. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah perwakilan sekolah yang terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru, dan pustakawan SMP Negeri Arun Lhokseumawe. Sistem evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara mendalam. Pengabdian ini menghasilkan desain interior dengan zonasi efisien meliputi area koleksi, zona baca individu, ruang diskusi kelompok, area multimedia dan digital, area pustakawan dan student lounge.Abstract: The interior design of school libraries plays a significant role in enhancing students' interest in reading and literacy. This community service initiative sought to strengthen partners' technical skills in interior planning and problem-solving abilities through a participatory approach. The Arun State Junior High School library, built in the 1980s, needed modernization to create a comfortable, functional learning environment aligned with current educational needs. Implementation methods included Focus Group Discussions and a design thinking framework comprising five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The empathize stage involved field observations, interviews, and objective measurements to assess user requirements. During the define stage, key issues were identified, such as inefficient space layout, insufficient lighting, non-ergonomic furniture, and inappropriate zoning. The ideate stage generated design solutions that were regularly reviewed with stakeholders. The prototype stage resulted in Detailed Engineering Design (DED) documents and 3D visualizations. The test stage involved validating the design with the school community. Project partners included school representatives, including the principal, teachers, and librarians of SMP Negeri Arun Lhokseumawe. Evaluation was conducted through direct observation and in-depth interviews. The project produced an interior design featuring efficient zoning, including a collection area, an individual reading zone, a group discussion room, a multimedia and digital area, a librarian area, and a student lounge.
