Abstract

Singing training was conducted using the Zoltán Kodály approach for early childhood education and kindergarten teachers in Jayapura Regency to address the need to improve teachers' competence in effective music teaching for young children. Gaps in music education, caused by a lack of professional training, affect teachers' ability to integrate music in children's cognitive and social development. This service activity aims to empower teachers with the Kodály method, which uses simple and familiar songs to teach basic music concepts in a fun and interactive way. This service activity was carried out using the direct demonstration method by STAKPN Sentani Church Music Department lecturers, who practiced using the Kodály method with children's songs. The training results showed increased teachers' understanding of how music can be used as an effective educational tool, such as the Zoltán Kodály approach. In conclusion, the training made a real contribution to improving the quality of music teaching in PAUD and TK and supporting children's cognitive, social, and emotional development through a holistic and creative approach.

Abstract

Currently, corruption has permeated various levels of administration, including at the village level such as Selomarto Village, Giriwoyo District, Wonogiri Regency. Both village officials and the general public are involved in daily corrupt practices, posing significant challenges to the integrity of village fund management. To address this issue, Training on Communication Strategies for Anti-Corruption Education and Culture was conducted with a Pragmatic and Communal Challenge Approach as part of Community Engagement in the Village. The results of this engagement indicate that the implemented communication strategy successfully increased awareness, participation, and commitment of Selomarto Village community members in combating corruption. The community effectively implemented strict oversight of village funds and conducted sustained social campaigns, building a strong anti-corruption culture. The commitment of the PKK Empowerment and Family Welfare Community in Selomarto Village as a change agent in corruption prevention serves as an inspiration to other regions, although ongoing challenges such as continuous support from various stakeholders remain a primary focus. Therefore, efforts to sustain local governance integrity and continuity should be continuously promoted to ensure the positive effects of this engagement continue to grow and serve as a positive example for other communities in building a clean and transparent governance system.

Abstract

The interactive media development training for Mathematics teachers in the MGMP group at SMP Negeri 1 Soromandi aimed to enhance teachers' competencies in utilizing PhET and Wordwall technologies in project-based learning, in alignment with the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. This study used a questionnaire method to evaluate the training, with 21 participants providing assessments regarding the usefulness of the material, the effectiveness of the trainers, the use of media, and the challenges faced. The results of the analysis showed that the training was highly beneficial, with an average score of 5.00, and the interactive media used was deemed effective, with an average score of 4.90. The trainers were rated highly competent in delivering material systematically (average 4.95) and communicatively (average 4.90). However, the training manual received criticism for being incomplete (average 1.00), and some participants suggested extending the discussion time. This training successfully achieved its goal of improving teacher competencies, although improvements are needed in the training manual and discussion time allocation. Future training program development should focus on these two aspects to increase the effectiveness and sustainability of the training.

Abstract

Child marriage among teenagers has become a serious social issue, particularly in Central Lombok Regency. This phenomenon shows a tendency for teenagers to opt for marriage at a young age rather than continuing their education, which brings negative impacts on health, education, and socio-economic welfare. According to data from BKKBN NTB, in 2015, West Nusa Tenggara had the second-highest rate of child marriage in Indonesia, with a percentage of 5.81%. Despite government regulations aimed at preventing early marriage, their implementation has been less than optimal. SMP Negeri 5 Praya Timur, located in Beleke Lebe Sane Village, East Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, faces this issue directly, with many students deciding to leave school to marry at an early age. A lack of understanding regarding the negative impacts of early marriage, particularly related to reproductive health and education, is one of the primary causes of this phenomenon. The community service activity conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Praya Timur aimed to provide comprehensive counseling to students about the dangers of early marriage and the importance of continuing education to higher levels. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involved active participation of students in understanding issues related to early marriage. This counseling was expected to raise student awareness about the risks of early marriage and motivate them to pursue further education. The results of this activity showed an increase in students' understanding of the negative impacts of early marriage and the importance of education as a path to a better future.

Abstract

This service activity provides an experience of local culture, especially dance at Central Kalimantan, SDN 7 Pahandut in Central Kalimantan Dayak dance creations. Community service activities provide knowledge about the diversity of dances that exist in Central Kalimantan and increase students' ability to perform Central Kalimantan Dayak creative dance movements. For teachers, it is hoped that this activity will make it easier to determine the material to be taught as well as become a reference in the future learning process. Based on the activities carried out by the PKM Team during these 3 days, several results were obtained, including: Dance training was more popular with female students than male students. This is because students think that dancing is an activity or action that is generally carried out by women. So male students feel embarrassed to dance. In this case, the PKM Team provides training based on student interests and without any coercion on students. The initial training process is an introduction to the types of Central Kalimantan Dayak dance and creative dance that will be taught. This introduction is nailing to the training participants. From the coercion process, the result was that students began to get to know Central Kalimantan Dayak dance. This can be seen from the body movements of students who start to sculpt little by little. The dance demonstration given uses simple movements which are traditional Central Kalimantan Dayak dance movements that are modified and combine several traditional Central Kalimantan Dayak dance movements which are packaged according to elementary school children's dance movements so that they can be easily imitated by students.

Optimal children’s nutritional status is an indicator of achieving child growth according to their age. Optimizing nutritional status is supported by providing nutrition intake to meet children's daily nutrition needs. Kindergarten students need  nutritionally, healthy and safe food.
