Abstract

Limited technological mastery challenges pre-elderly students participating in online Teacher Professional Education (PPG) programs. This study explores their motivation and obstacles through a mixed research approach. Four key motivational factors were identified: intrinsic, career, social, and economic. These factors drive their decision to pursue further education in teaching. However, technological and digital skill limitations remain significant barriers. Institutional support addresses these challenges such as specialized digital training and mentoring. Such initiatives help students critically reflect on their limitations and shift their perspectives on online learning. Aligning with Jack Mezirow's transformative learning theory, this process emphasizes critical reflection to overcome obstacles and foster perspective changes. Ultimately, this approach enables pre-elderly students to effectively achieve their learning goals, enhancing their contributions to academic and professional communities.

Abstract

Classroom learning is extremely important for students, providing a structured environment supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. Classroom learning allows students to interact with teachers in real time; this offers the opportunity for immediate clarification, feedback, and guidance, which is critical for deeper understanding. Building interactions by seeing stimuli and gestures appropriately takes a classroom where interactions occur naturally which can be observed directly. Online classes present fairly short class meetings and do not involve emotional well between teacher and students. Qualitative research with a case study approach in the article reveals the need for direct interaction in the classroom teaching-learning process. 10 respondents were middle school teachers who taught in several schools in Bandar Lampung. Classrooms must be used as fun spaces filled with motivation for students related to critical social values, cooperation, respect, empathy, critical thinking, and responsibility are essential for the student’s holistic development.

Abstract

This study examines the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education, mainly focusing on its impact on student achievement in the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Program at STKIP Pasundan. Students often face challenges when dealing with complex and abstract materials in civic Education. The research employs a quantitative approach, using random sampling and multiple linear regression analysis to assess the influence of AI. The findings reveal that ChatGPT is the most commonly used AI platform among students, valued for its user-friendly features and effective response capabilities. The analysis confirms that AI significantly affects student learning achievement, and its contribution is substantial compared to other influencing factors. Additionally, AI enhances student motivation, material absorption, and innovation in the learning process. In conclusion, AI positively and significantly impacts student achievement and can be integrated into educational practices to foster more innovative and practical learning in the digital era.

Abstract

Self-confidence and self-awareness are psychological factors that play an important role in academic success, but the simultaneous relationship between the two to academic grades is not fully understood. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-confidence and self-awareness on the academic grades of high school students in Magelang using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The study involved 50 students who were selected purposively, with data collected through a questionnaire based on a 5-point Likert scale. The instrument's validity was tested using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), while reliability was measured through Cronbach's Alpha. The results showed that self-confidence significantly influenced 0.490 academic scores, while self-awareness contributed 0.262. Combining the two explains 45.2% of the variance in academic scores. The research model fit well (GFI 0.91; CFI 0.93; RMSEA 0.058). This research emphasizes developing confidence and self-awareness to significantly improve students' academic achievement.

Abstract

Academic supervision is an important process in improving the quality of teacher performance. However, in its implementation, there is still a paradigm of thinking that only places academic supervision to fulfill the Principal’s managerial duties. This study explores Principal academic supervision's various roles and strategies in sustainably improving teacher performance. This study used a qualitative approach with a purposive sampling technique. The results showed three important things in conducting academic supervision. First, academic supervision is carried out systematically, starting from the stages of planning (Plan), implementation (Do), evaluation (Check), and follow-up (Act). Second, it is carried out consistently. Third, follow-up recommendations are decided based on relevant teacher performance data-based assessments. In conclusion, the Principal has carried out academic supervision but has not been optimal in the follow-up. Follow-up recommendations on the results of academic supervision have not been implemented sustainably and data-based. As a result, the results of academic supervision have not been able to improve teacher performance and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Integrating Augmented Reality (AR) in Tele-Education Management Systems (TEMS) enhances student engagement and interactivity in remote learning. Traditional methods often lack active participation, reducing learning outcomes. This research examines how AR-based TEMS improves interaction, understanding, and retention, especially in STEM education. A qualitative approach using secondary data from peer-reviewed studies, governmental reports, and educational case studies identified AR adoption trends. Findings highlight AR's ability to deliver immersive, interactive learning experiences that surpass traditional methods. However, barriers such as limited internet bandwidth, access to advanced hardware, and inadequate technical support challenge adoption in underserved areas. Solutions include optimizing AR for low-bandwidth environments and providing affordable, mobile-compatible devices. Additionally, AR enhances comprehension and retention of complex concepts, positioning it as a transformative tool for remote education by making learning more interactive, accessible, and effective.
