Abstract

This community service aims to improve the capacity of shallot farmers in Galung Village, Lombok, Polewali Mandar, in implementing True Shallot Seed (TSS) technology as an effort to increase shallot (Allium cepa L.) production. The use of TSS is an innovation that can increase harvest yields and reduce the risk of disease spread, which is often carried by conventional bulbs. The activity method includes focus group discussions (FGD) to understand participant readiness, preparation of extension materials, and implementation of extension that includes an introduction to the TSS method and comparison with traditional cultivation techniques. Evaluation was carried out with a pre-test and post-test to assess the increase in participant understanding. The evaluation results showed an increase in the average score from 41.63 in the pre-test to 76.08 in the post-test, reflecting an increase in understanding of 82.75%. Further analysis showed that age and farming experience factors did not significantly affect the increase in participant understanding. In conclusion, this program has succeeded in increasing farmer knowledge in TSS-based shallot cultivation techniques, which have the potential to support the sustainability of shallot production and strengthen farmers' economic resilience in the future. It is hoped that the TSS method can be applied more widely through the demonstration plot system to increase farmer confidence in adopting this technology

Abstract

Regional taxes as a source of original regional income are one of the basic capital for regional governments to obtain funds for development and to fulfill regional expenditures thereby reducing dependence on the central government and its subsidies. The problem that prospective taxpayers often experience is a lack of knowledge about taxes. Limitations in access to adequate information about taxes, such as seminars, guides, or assistance from tax experts, can lead to inaccurate perceptions of taxes. This condition results in a decrease in the level of compliance with paying taxes, which will ultimately be detrimental to the government in financing public services and infrastructure development needed for community welfare. People who live in areas dominated by water and swamp areas must be aware that there are unique features that have different potential for Regional Original Income (PAD). This activity aims to increase local taxpayer compliance among the younger generation through the activity of Equating Perceptions of Potential Regional Tax Revenue from Water and Swamp Areas for the Young Generation at the El Qudwah Foundation in the Barito Kuala district. The results show that socialization regarding taxes is really needed by the younger generation so that they are obedient in paying taxes, increasing tax compliance will have an impact on increasing local original income, which is very beneficial for regional development whose aim is to improve the welfare of regional communities both in water and swamp areas. in all city districts in South Kalimantan province.

The quality of teaching in elementary schools is a crucial factor that influences the early development of students. Training and mentoring for elementary school teachers are expected to strengthen teacher capacity in terms of mapping learning outcomes, learning objectives, and learning objective flows. Community service activities are carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The stages of activities that will be carried out by the community service program team are as follows: (1) giving an initial test (pre-test); (2) implementing offline community service; (3) online mentoring; (4) evaluation and reflection; and (5) giving a final test (post-test). The pre-test score with 20 participants obtained an average of 51.75, while the post-test score obtained an average of 90, so that the N-Gain score was 0.79. This value represents an interpretation of a high improvement category. Overall, this community service activity was able to improve the knowledge and understanding of elementary school teachers in Prabumulih City in mapping CP, TP, and ATP in accordance with the independent curriculum.
