Al-Qalam: Jurnal Kajian Islam dan Pendidikan merupakan jurnal peer-reviewed open-access yang didirikan untuk menyebarluaskan pengetahuan mutakhir di bidang kajian islam dan pendidikan islam. Abstract

The current rampant bullying is accompanied by physical violence, not just verbal. Those who are weak are oppressed by a group of people who feel powerful and have power. There is news circulating on television and social media regarding bullying that leads to death every year. This is a very sad phenomenon amidst Indonesia's hopes of gold in 2045. Therefore, massive efforts are needed to tackle bullying, especially in schools. The aim of this research is to describe knowledge of social morals as an effort to prevent bullying. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data sources for students and teachers through interviews, documentation and observation processes. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data interpretation, data triangulation and data conclusions. The results of the research reveal that the implementation of knowledge of social morals is supported by cognitive, affective and psychomotor understanding in students not to bully, thus assessing it as a form of detrimental negative action. Students take better care of themselves and increase their knowledge of social morals that bind Islamic values ​​in forming an Islamic brotherhood

Abstract

Metaphysics, as a branch of philosophy, discusses everything that is fundamental. This is because the manifestation or reality of something is determined by its level of universality. Ibn Arabi, who received the title al-Syekh al-Akbar, is one of the great thinkers in Islam. His controversial thoughts on wahdat al-wujud have a great influence on the world of Islamic mysticism. This article is written based on library research to collect data from various literature sources. After the data was collected, the author applied a descriptive-analytical method to obtain the right conclusion. In the concept of metaphysics (Ma Ba'da al-Thabi'ah) according to Ibn Arabi, Allah is the main source of the four ma'lim, without anything behind it. It is called al-Wujud al-Muthlaq. The second ma'lum is the universal essence found in God and the universe, namely something that appears after creation, namely everything other than Allah Ta'ala. The third ma'lum covers the universe, including everything in the heavens and the earth, except humans. While the fourth ma'lum is humans as Allah's vicegerents on earth, which is also called the small world (microcosm). Meanwhile, the previous three ma'alim are known as the large world (macrocosm).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze of Sufism as a methodological approach to achieving the pinnacle of spiritual attainment. A library research approach was employed, utilizing descriptive, interpretative, and analytical methods. Data were sourced from primary references, including books and Sufi literature, as well as secondary sources like relevant journal articles. The analysis focuses on applying Sufi concepts to guide individuals toward inner peace and closeness to God. The findings show that the Sufi stages of takhalli, tahalli, and tajalli are key to the spiritual journey. Spiritual practices such as dhikr, muraqabah, suluk, riyadhah, and tafakur play a central role in this process, not only cleansing the heart of negative traits but also instilling noble values like justice, divine love, and patience. The ultimate achievements of Sufism-mahabbah (love for God) and ma’rifah (knowledge of God)-bring individuals to the highest level of spiritual closeness. In the modern era, Sufism offers a holistic approach to addressing the pressures of materialistic life while fostering inner tranquility through divine connection. This study highlights the universal significance of Sufi teachings as a guide for human spiritual development.

Abstract

This study used the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with a two-cycle design and involved 31 students in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Cipunagara. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. Research data were collected using observation instruments, interviews, documentation, and formative tests. The results showed that in the pre-cycle, the average student learning outcomes were 69.12 with the level of achievement of Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) 58.06%. After the application of the Role Playing method, there was a significant increase in cycle I, with a teacher activity score of 84, student activity of 75, and KKTP achievement increased to 64.51%. In cycle II, student learning outcomes increased more significantly with an average score of 89.19 and KKTP achievement of 90.32%. The teacher activity score also increased to 88.89, while student activity reached 87.50. This success is due to the active interaction of students, group discussions, and roles in learning scenarios that help students understand the material more deeply and applicatively. The conclusion in this study is that the Role Playing method is an effective learning strategy to improve PAI learning outcomes and instill character values.

Abstract

As a Muslims, the implementation of the educational process should be understood as an effort to convey, transform, and internalize the values of Islamic teachings, which cannot be separated from the teachings contained in the Qur'an and Hadith. This includes values that are closely related to the development of children's spirituality as an important part of character building. The purpose of this paper is to describe the development of children's spirituality by parents in Surah Maryam verses 30-32. As well as analyzing the values of spiritual education contained in Surah Maryam verses 30-32. The method used in this writing is the literature research method, where the author relies on various literatures to obtain research data. The purpose of this research is to find out the aspects of building children's spirituality by parents contained in QS Maryam verses 30-32. QS Maryam verses 30-32 contains three aspects of building children's spirituality by parents, namely aspects of Aqidah or faith, aspects of Shari'a or worship, and aspects of morality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well the Canva app enhances Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instruction at SMP Negeri 2 Kendit Situbondo. research methodology is used, and data gathering methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. Canva is utilized as a learning medium to present materials in the form of infographics, presentations, and engaging, interactive educational videos. The results indicate that the use of Canva can increase students' learning interest, clarify their understanding of Islamic concepts, and encourage active participation in the learning process. Teachers also become more creative in delivering materials, making the classroom atmosphere more dynamic and effective. Additionally, the use of Canva helps develop students' and teachers' digital skills in utilizing educational technology. This visual-based learning approach not only makes students more enthusiastic but also facilitates their ability to remember and apply religious values in daily life. Thus, integrating the Canva application into PAI learning serves as an innovative solution to enhance learning effectiveness in the digital era, providing students with a more engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful learning experience.

Abstract

Humans are endowed with reason, desire, and intellect. To cultivate humanity and guide human behavior, education serves as an essential reference and framework. Through education, life will be more focused on the goals it achieves. The research aims to comprehensively describe the understanding of humans and its relevance to education as the primary means for humans. This article results from literature (library) and analytical description using existing evidence. The research method used is library research to solve a problem. This research was conducted by reviewing the literature data in depth, both secondary and primary. From the results of this study, the author found that humans will not be separated from the corridor that has been determined by the code of ethics in education based on the Qur'an and As-Sunnah, Ijma and Qiyas, with their respective paths and in the end humans will always obey and obey the commands of the Creator as the God of the universe so that the meaning of Humans and their Relevance to Education is to create people who have good character and have knowledge that is balanced with the development of the era.

Abstract

Learning interest is one of the important factors in the success of learning, especially in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). One aspect that influences learning interest is students' learning style, which includes visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. This study aims to determine the correlation between learning style and students' interest in learning PAI. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational design. Data were collected through questionnaires given to students, then analyzed using the Pearson correlation statistical test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between learning style and interest in learning PAI. Students with learning styles that are in accordance with teaching methods tend to have higher learning interest compared to students who experience a mismatch in learning style and learning method. The implications of this study indicate that educators need to understand and adjust learning strategies to students' learning styles to improve their interest and learning outcomes in PAI subjects

Abstract

This research aims to describe PAI teachers' efforts to overcome difficulties in reading the Qur’an and knowing the factors behind students’ finding it difficult to read the Qur'an. This research focuses on SMA Negeri 2 Sape, Bima Regency. This research is field research; the type used is a case study with a qualitative approach. The data obtained in this research were from 52 participants. The data follows: PAI teachers' efforts have used the habituation method. For example, the teacher reads first, then the students follow, providing tutors (coaches) and giving motivation, and the method used to teach students to read the Qur’an is the Iqro' method. Second, internal factors are a lack of motivation from parents, a lack of awareness of oneself, and the influence of technological developments. Then, external factors include a lack of interest, talent, and passion, a lack of practice in learning to read the Qur’an, and wrong social interactions in the environment.

Abstract

This research seeks to investigate the challenges encountered by students in upholding religious values and to identify the strategies that can be employed to sustain these values in the face of modernity and globalization. This qualitative study adopts a phenomenological research design and employs a descriptive methodology to explore the challenges and strategies employed by students at Ahmad Dahlan Sinjai Islamic University in maintaining their religious values. Data collection techniques comprised observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that students encounter several challenges in upholding their religious values on campus, including social influences, academic pressures, divergent views and ideologies, lack of solidarity, and social media. The strategies adopted to mitigate these challenges encompass a holistic approach to strengthening religious education, cultivating sincerity and patience in academic pursuits, fostering Islamic solidarity, creating a conducive environment, engaging in religious studies, utilizing social media responsibly, and leveraging support and engagement from campus stakeholders and faculty members. This research aims to provide a substantial contribution to the enhancement of understanding regarding the maintenance of religious values among university students. Additionally, it is anticipated that policymakers will be able to develop more practical and applicable educational programs for students.
