Abstract

The background of this research is to see the effectiveness of learning carried out in elementary schools since the Covid-19 pandemic hit. All face-to-face learning activities that are usually carried out in schools are transformed into online-based learning and have various impacts on elementary school teachers in delivering learning material. The research objective was to analyze the effectiveness of learning carried out by elementary school teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a descriptive method with the research subjects teacher of grade 1-6 Girimukti elementary school, Cipatat district. The research instrument used was an open questionnaire, interviews, documents, and field notes. The results of the study show that ineffective learning is applied to elementary school students due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure such as smartphones and stable internet networks that affect teachers in the learning process. Also, the participation of parents and the unpreparedness of parents in the accompanying learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh munculnya pandemi covid 19 yang membuat pembelajaran di sekolah dasar harus dilakukan secara daring. Pembelajaran secara daring merupakan metode baru bagi sebagian besar guru di indonesia. Sehingga sedikit memunculkan permasalahan dalam proses pembelajaran. Semua materi pelajaran harus dilakukan secara daring, salah satunya pembelajaran membuat seni kolase. Pembelajaran membuat seni kolase pada kelas IV dilaksanakan menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning, namun karena sedang pandemi covid 19, maka semua pembelajaran harus dilaksanakan secara daring. Maka dari itu pembelajaran membuat seni kolase menngunakan model project based learning dilaksanakan secara daring, untuk membantu kelancaran kegiatan pembelajaran, guru menggunakan video pembelajaran sebagai salah satu media dalam proses pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini akan dijelaskan tentang implementasi pembelajaran membuat kolase menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning secara daring, respon guru dan siswa selama pembelajaran, serta kesulitan yang dihadapi selama proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa Sekolah dasar kelas IV di Salah satu sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Untuk mendapatkan data-data yang valid dalam proses penelitian, peneliti menentukan berbagai instrumen penelitian. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran membuat kolase secara daring menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning berjalan dengan baik, namun respon guru dan siswa tidak terlalu baik, karena terdapat berbagai kekurangan dan kendala dalam proses pembelajarannya

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low students' mathematical communication skills. The purpose of this research is to see the achievement and improvement of the mathematical communication skills of students who get learning using a project-based learning model assisted by used goods using conventional learning. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. The subjects of this study were 70 students of the second-semester elementary school teacher candidates at IKIP Siliwangi. The instrument in this study used a test. The results showed that 1) the achievement of mathematical communication skills of students who received learning using a project-based learning model assisted with used goods was better than those who used conventional learning; 2) the improvement of students' mathematical communication skills who get learning using a project-based learning model with used goods is better than those who use conventional learning.

Abstract

The real problem is that some of the teachers only carry out learning activities using conventional methods. Learning is carried out using the lecture method without using learning media. Students only focus on teacher explanations and books because of the lack of facilities and infrastructure. The results of this study are to produce a product that is feasible, effective and facilitates students. The method used in this research is the research and development. Respondents to this research were Grade 6 students. This research led to and produced 1) The development process, the first stage was a literature review and data collection through interviews to explore the potentials and obstacles in the science learning process as well as to make designs and initial product designs. 2) Producing a product in the form of Animaker-based learning media that can help increase student motivation in learning material about the solar system, a feasible product can be seen from the results of the value by the validator. 3) This learning media is well received by students, this can be seen from the results of the student response questionnaire which scores an attractive category. 4) Animaker-based learning media can optimize the ability of science concepts. Increasing student learning outcomes in the realm of knowledge obtains a gain value of 1.00, which means an increase in learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of the high category on a wide-scale test.

Abstract

Society must be able to adapt in various ways due to the rapid progress of science and technology in the era of globalization. One of the components is education, which is fundamental for the progress of a country. Science process skills are skills for developing the perspective needed to build natural science. This research was conducted to see whether science process skills improved after applying the STEM learning model to environmental conservation business materials, in class V students at SDN 1 Ciledug located in the city of West Bandung. This research was carried out by designing a pretest-posttest group and using a science process skills test, based on the indicators that had been designed. Data analysis to determine differences in perceptions regarding improving students' science process skills, before and after implementing the STEM learning model. The results of data analysis show that science process abilities have increased on the topic of environmental conservation efforts with the application of the STEM learning model. The resulting score with the average value of science process skills increased from application of 40.51 to 85.11. This improvement in skills can be seen from the N-Gain result value of 0.75 which is in the high classification. Thus, the research results that have been presented suggest that teachers can use the STEM learning model as an alternative in science subjects, especially to improve science process skills.

Abstract

The creative thinking skills of Indonesian citizens are ranked 115th out of 139 countries, meaning that the creative thinking skills of the Indonesian state are low. This needs to be overcome by giving treatment to everyone, one of which is through education. The research conducted aims to determine creative thinking skills in science learning for class V SD by applying the Read; Answer; Discuss; Explain and Create (RADEC) learning models. In this study, the researcher used qualitative methods with a population of fifth grades at elementary school Cisarua areas and a samples of 31. The results showed that fifth grade students had difficulties in improving creative thinking skills on indicators of fluent thinking and elaboration skills, but this can be overcome by applying them. RADEC learning model. The application of the RADEC learning model produces a positive response to science learning in improving creative thinking skills

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat sejauhmana kemampuan guru sekolah dasar dalam membuat pertanyaan pra pembelajaran menggunakan model RADEC. Metode yang digunakan adalah Survey. Partisipan penelitian adalah guru sekolah dasar yang ada di wilayah Kabupaten Purwakarta dan sekitarnya dengan jumlah 32 orang. Data penelitian diperoleh secara online menggunakan angket melalui media google form. Analisis kemampuan guru sekolah dasar dalam membuat pertanyaan pra pembelajaran menggunakan model RADEC  terbagi menjadi 4 indikator yaitu dengan (1) pengetahuan guru tentang pertanyaan prapembelajaran dalam model RADEC, (2) pengetahuan guru tentang pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi melalui pertanyaan prapembelajaran, (3) respon guru dalam membuat pertanyaan prapembelajaran, (4) kendala pembuatan pertanyaan prapembelajaran. Berdasarkan rata-rata porsentasi tiap indikator menunjukan porsentasi yang tinggi Adapun Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah guru bukan hanya bertugas sebagai penyampaikan materi saja melainkan harus mampu mengembangkan segala potensi yang ada pada diri siswa. Sebagai bagian dari model RADEC, Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan membuat pertanyaan prapembelajaran.

Abstract

Garbage is a social problem that until now has become a problem that is difficult to overcome. The problem of waste is very disturbing human activities everyday. Garbage can cause the environment to become dirty, damage the beauty of the surrounding environment, cause bad odors, and become a source of various diseases that can interfere with public health. Therefore, awareness of the environment needs to be cultivated as early as possible, including at the elementary school level. This study aims to improve students' environmental care skills in terms of utilizing plastic bottle waste as social studies learning media in elementary schools. Environmental care skills are part of the character that needs to be developed because love for the environment is a manifestation of love for the motherland, and shows pride as a dignified Indonesian society. This study uses a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study were 5th grade students with a sample of 70 students consisting of 35 control class students and 35 experimental class students. The instruments used are test questions and observation guidelines. The data were processed and analyzed using the SPSS 22 application. The results showed that the comparison between the control class and the experimental class obtained that the average N-Gain value for the experimental class was greater than that of the control class. Thus, the application of learning by utilizing plastic bottles as a learning medium in social studies learning in elementary schools can improve environmental care skills. Sampah merupakan permasalahan sosial yang hingga saat ini menjadi persoalan yang sulit diatasi. Permasalahan sampah sangat mengganggu aktifitas manusia sehari-hari. Sampah dapat menyebabkan lingkungan menjadi kotor, merusak keindahan lingkungan sekitar, menimbulkan bau tidak sedap, hingga menjadi sumber dari berbagai penyakit yang dapat mengganggu kesehatan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu  kesadaran akan lingkungan perlu di pupuk sedini mungkin tidak terkecuali di jenjang sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatakan keterampilan peduli lingkungan siswa dalam hal memanfaatkan sampah botol plastik sebagai media pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar. Keterampilan peduli lingkungan merupakan bagian dari karakter yang perlu dikembangkan karena kecintaan terhadap lingkungan merupakan perwujudan cinta tanah air, dan menunjukkan kebanggan sebagai masyarakat Indonesia yang bermartabat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimen. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 dengan sempel sebanyak 70 siswa yang terdiri dari 35 siswa kelas kontrol dan 35 siswa kelas ekperimen. Adapun instrument yang digunakan adalah soal tes dan pedoman observasi. Data diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perbandingan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas ekperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, penerapan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan botol plastik sebagai media pembelajaran pada pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan peduli lingkungan.

Abstract

The nature of science and is something that is very important to be taught in elementary schools. In the field there are not many studies that involve learning models in an effort to develop the nature of science, both from the dimension its aspects and the nature of science itself. The purpose of this research is to reveal how the inquiry model affects the ability of the nature of science and its aspects of students in elementary school. The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental pre-test and post-test one group design. The subjects of this study were fifth grade elementary school students with a sample of 36 students. The instruments in this study used test questions (products), student observation sheets (process) and questionnaires (attitudes). The results showed that the P-value = 0,000 < 0,05. So H1 is accepted. Thus, learning with the inquiry model significantly increases the product dimensions (cognitive) of students in elementary schools. The measurement of process dimensions through observation has an average value of 58.2% and is in the sufficient category. To measure the dimensions of attitude using a questionnaire in measuring the 10 basic properties its aspects, data analysis is on good criteria. In general, the inquiry model can have an influence on the ability of the nature of science and its aspects of students in elementary schools. For further research, it can be developed using other models/approaches/strategies/methods, in order to improve students' ability to the nature of science and its aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the online learning about two dimentional and three dimentional shapes for second grades of SDN 243 Cicabe, using a realistic approach with video assistent. The method for this study is descriptive qualitative. Subjects of this study is 2nd grade students from SDN 243 Cicabe Bandung with a total of 25 students consisting with 14 male students and 11 female students. The instruments for this study is using abservation sheets, question about two dimentional and three dimentional shapes, and interview questionaries for students. The result show there was an increase for the quality of learning when was realistic approach were used. Its shown with the average point of two dimentional and three dimentional shapes material is 73 and its classified as good the higest is 95, and the lowest is 40. The completion for the test show 72% student get a score above the minimum criteria, and 28% student still get bellow the minimum criteria.
