Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability of creative thinking in elementary schools. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative research method. The research population was the fifth-grade students of SDN 2 Lembang, Lembang, West Bandung Regency. while the selected sample was 37 students with convenience technique. The result of this research was increasing students' creative thinking ability. The research concluded that the Number Heads Together learning model affected an increase in creative thinking ability, especially in science study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini disusun yang didasari oleh kurangnya pemahaman murid terhadap apa yang dipelajari dengan mempraktikkan sendiri materi pelajaran yang didapatnya agar lebih bermakna. Tujuan riset ilmiah ini adalah untuk menelaah peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif murid SD kelas IV menggunakan model contextual teaching and learning pada mata pelajaran IPA. Metode yang digunakan pada riset ilmiah ini adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi pada riset ini adalah murid kelas IV di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Kota Cimahi. Sampel yang dipakai adalah murid kelas IV B untuk kelas percobaan dan kelas IV D untuk kelas kontrol sebagai objek penelitian, jumlah murid dari masing-masing kelas terdiri atas 30 murid. Instrumen peneltian yang digunakan adalah lembar soal tes uraian untuk masing-masing kelas. Hasil pretest dan posttest dianalisis menggunakan program SPSS for windows, hasil dari pengujian penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan model contextual teaching and learning memiliki perbedaan lebih tinggi, dibandingkan dengan murid yang menggunakan model konvensional secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif IPA murid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan terhadap perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif IPA murid dengan menggunakan model contextual teaching and learning dengan model konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, disarankan kepada pendidik untuk menggunakan model contextual teaching and learning sebagai salah satu pilihan model pada mata pelajaran IPA, khususnya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif murid. Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of the fourth grade students of SDIT Luqmanul Hakim Bandung in mathematics, one of which is in learning mathematics story problems. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with a case study design. The data was collected by means of test techniques, document analysis, and interviews with 40 students of research subjects. The data analysis technique used the Milles and Huberman model analysis. The data validity test was done by using triangulation techniques. The results showed that the research subjects made mistakes on each item with various types of errors, namely reading errors 8 times, misunderstanding problems 133 times, transformation errors 16 times, calculation process errors 50 times, and errors writing answers 3 times. There are 3 factors that cause students to make mistakes, namely: 1) difficulty understanding the problem; 2) do not understand the concept and operation of fractions; 3) and being forgetful and careless. The solution offered to minimize student errors in solving story problems is by increasing the practice of working on story questions, making story questions in more communicative language, applying cooperative learning in teaching story problems, and providing explanations using concrete props.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low understanding of science concepts in elementary schools. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The study population was the fourth-grade students of SDN 3 Cikahuripan Lembang, West Bandung Regency. while the selected sample was 34 students with convenience technique. The result of this research is the increase in students' conceptual understanding. The study concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning model affected an increasing understanding of the concept of science

Abstract

The main problem is science from elementary school students in West Bandung Regency. This is a program that is used to improve students' abilities in the west Bandung district elementary school. In particular, the targets to be mentioned are as follows: 1) Improve student learning achievement after the implementation of the demonstration method 2) Can affect student learning after the demonstration method is applied. The method that will be used is a method of observation with the material properties of light in class V elementary schools in West Bandung regency precisely at SDN Nugraha. The method used is qualitative with a classroom action research approach (CAR). The subject of the research was the fifth grade students of Nugraha Elementary School with 28 students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the distance learning of the speech and actions of the 6th-grade Indonesian fictional text characters at SDN 211 Babakan Priangan during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were students of class VI SDN 211 Babakan Priangan. The instruments used were a description sheet and a questionnaire. As a result, distance learning can be used as an alternative in learning the speech and actions of Indonesian fictional text characters.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of problem-solving in science learning in elementary schools. Also, it is known that many problems occur in science learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the scenario and implementation of science problem solving using the PjBL model, teacher and student responses, and difficulties experienced by students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were students of grade IV with a total of 30 students consisting of 14 female students and 17 male students. The results showed that there was an increase in the quality of learning when the PjBL model was applied. Thus it can be concluded that the results of the study aimed at the scenario and learning implementation were shown by the results of the teacher's average score of 77.89% and students of 78.33% which was in the good category, the teacher's response got 82% and the student's response got 84% which was very categorized. good, as well as the difficulties experienced by students with an average of 27% found in the indicators of understanding the problem and making strategy designs.

Abstract

There are many ways that can be done in an effort to improve science learning outcomes in schools. One way is to choose the right learning method. This study aims to see the effect of experimental learning methods, expository learning methods and critical thinking skills on science learning outcomes. This research was conducted with a sample of 74 students. The research design used an experimental method with treatment by level 2 x 2. Data analysis used 2-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of this study are that there are differences in the results of students learning science with experimental learning methods between students who learn using expository learning methods; there is an interaction between the learning method and students' critical thinking skills on science learning outcomes; The results of learning science between students who learn with experimental learning methods who have higher critical thinking skills are higher than students who learn using expository learning methods who have high critical thinking skills; The results of learning science between students who learn with experimental learning methods who have low critical thinking skills are lower than students who learn using expository learning methods who have low critical thinking skills. This study implies that the application of experimental learning methods can improve students' critical thinking skills so that it can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of statistical materials, especially bar charts, which are studied in grade 4 SD in everyday life and as a provision for the ability to face the 21st century. This study aims to describe the learning of the 4th-grade students' understanding of bar charts using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The sample of this study was grade 4 students of SD Mutiara Bunda, totaling 24 people. The research instruments used in this study were questions, questionnaires, observation sheets, and interview results. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively to determine students' understanding of the bar chart after going through the learning process using the PjBL model. Analyze questionnaires, observation sheets, and interview results to determine the responses of teachers and students and the implementation of PjBL in bar chart learning. Based on the research results obtained: students' understanding of the bar chart using the PjBL model is in a good category and the response and implementation of the PjBL model to understand this bar chart are in a very good category.

Abstract

4C skills have become part of the current elementary school curriculum, which is expected to improve the quality of education so that graduates are ready to compete in the global world. Student worksheet, based on the RADEC model, is needed as a learning tool that can help participants practice 4C skills. This study aims to develop and validate the Student Worksheet based on the RADEC model on the theme of aerial skills-oriented 21st century: critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication (4C). This research and development (R&D) use the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). This research was carried out until the development stage or validation stage. The validity of the student worksheet is determined by an assessment of media, materials, and language on a scale of four, validated by twenty-five teachers who have attended the RADEC model workshop for three days. The data obtained were tabulated by calculating the validity of the quantitative and descriptive analysis. The development results show that the student worksheet based on the RADEC model to train 4C skills is declared valid with the calculation results Vh>Vt or Vh> 0.64 and is suitable for use in learning. This research can be used as information on the development and validation of teaching materials, especially student worksheet, based on the RADEC model to train 4C skills in science materials in elementary schools.
