Abstract

This study aims to describe the skills of writing Bugis narrative texts using lontarak script of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Labakkang, Pangkep Regency. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study were all class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Labakkang, Pangkep Regency, totaling 230 people consisting of 9 classes. The sample of this study was 144 samples, using sample determination with the Krec jie and Morgan tables. Data collection in this study was carried out using test techniques on the research sample. All data obtained were analyzed through several stages: 1) making a list of raw scores, 2) making frequency distributions and raw scores, 3) calculating the average value of students, 4) determining the results of the study with the criteria for the quality of student skills, 5) classifying student skills based on the specified references. Based on the results of the analysis obtained, it shows that the skills of writing Bugis narrative texts using the lontarak script of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Labakkang, Pangkep Regency, namely obtaining a score of 75-100 as many as 57 students, while those who obtained a score of 0-74 were 87 (60%) out of 144 samples, thus the skills of writing Bugis narrative texts using the lontarak script of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Labakkang, Pangkep Regency are categorized as unskilled.

Abstract

On the one hand, the condition of our marine ecosystem is degraded. On the other hand, the existence of social changes in society has caused local wisdom to almost be forgotten by the history of its existence. Therefore, this study aims, namely: 1) to describe the problem of damage to marine ecosystems in Jemmy Piran's four short stories, and 2) to describe the local wisdom in the short story by Jemmy Piran as an alternative for marine conservation. This research used qualitative type with descriptive method. The focus of the research is the problem of damage to marine ecosystems, local wisdom, and marine conservation alternatives in the short stories studied. The theory used is the theory of literary ecology, local wisdom theory, and concepts related to marine conservation. Sources of research data, namely four short stories by Jeremy Piran which can be accessed online via the web ruangsastra.com. The research data are sentences or expressions in the short story that show the problem of marine damage, local wisdom, and marine conservation alternatives in the short story. The analysis technique used is content analysis. The results of the research are: (1) the issue of marine damage due to trash, trawling, and the use of fish bombs; (2) local wisdom found data regarding: 1) ethics totaling 3 data; 2) customary law totaling 6 data; 3) trust totaling 33 data; and 4) the norm is 5 data.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah dan mengkaji kemampuan membaca pemahaman sebelum menggunakan metode Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite and Review (PQ4R) siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Barru, kemampuan membaca pemahaman sesudah menggunakan metode Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite and Review (PQ4R) siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Barru dan membuktikan penggunaan metode Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite and Review (PQ4R) terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Barru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksprimen. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara teknik observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data metode PQ4R dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan tes pilihan ganda sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan menggunakan metode PQ4R.teknik analisi yang telah terkumpul berupa hasil tes, kemudian dianalisis untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam membaca pemahaman sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode PQ4R. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai pengaruh penggunaan metode PQ4R terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman maka hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode PQ4R sangat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa VII SMP Negeri 2 Barru. Hasil test yang diperoleh sebelum menggunakan metode PQ4R menunjukkan nilai maksimal adalah 80 sudah termasuk kategori tercapai tetapi nilai minimal masih belum tercapai yaitu 35. Hasil test yang diperoleh sesudah menggunakan metode PQ4R menunjukkan nilai maksimal 90 sudah termasuk kategori berhasil. Nilai minimal adalah 70. Rata-rata perolehan dari keseluruhan nilai siswa menurun dari rata-rata hasil test adalah 80. penerapan metode PQ4R setidaknya telah memberi pengaruh pada nilai siswa Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik inferensial tersebut analisis mann-whitney pada Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) menghasilkan nilai signifikan 0,000 lebih kecil dari nilai signifikan 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil ststistik inferensial pada uji mann-whitney, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima yaitu terdapat pengaruh signifikan metode PQ4R terhadap hasil belajar membaca pemahaman Kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Barru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan dimensi sosial new historicism Greenblatt dalam Novel Kartini Karya Abidah El Khalieqy dan Novel Buya Hamka Karya Ahmad Fuadi, (2) mendeskripsikan dimensi politik new historicism Greenblatt dalam Novel Kartini Karya Abidah El Khalieqy dan Novel Buya Hamka Karya Ahmad Fuadi, (3) mendeskripsikan dimensi ekonomi new historicism Greenblatt dalam Novel Kartini Karya Abidah El Khalieqy dan Novel Buya Hamka Karya Ahmad Fuadi dan (4) mendeskripsikan relevansi dimensi sosial, politik, ekonomi new historicism Greenblatt dalam Novel Kartini Karya Abidah El Khalieqy dan Novel Buya Hamka Karya Ahmad Fuadi terhadap Materi Pembelajaran Apresiasi Novel di SMA. Fokus penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis new historicism yang terkandung dalam novel Kartini karya Abidah El Khalieqy dan novel Buya Hamka karya Ahmad Fuadi terdiri atas tiga kategori yaitu sosial, politik dan ekonomi dengan menggunakan teori Stephen Greenblatt. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kutipan teks yang mengandung dimensi sosial, politik dan ekonomi. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah Novel Kartini Karya Abidah El Khalieqy dan Novel Buya Hamka Karya Ahmad Fuadi. Adapun teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini terbagi atas tiga yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat (1) Dimensi sosial (2) Dimensi politik (3) Dimensi ekonomi dan (4) Novel Kartini karya Abidah El Khalieqy dan novel Buya Hamka karya Ahmad Fuadi memiliki relevansi dan dapat digunakan sebagai tambahan materi ajar bahasa Indonesia kelas XII di SMA.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of speech before using independent learning model, the ability after using independent learning model, and the effect of using independent learning model on students' speech ability. The method used in this research is quantitative method, the research design used is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study was Class IX students of SMP Negeri 15 Bulukumba, totaling 37 students. The sampling used was using purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study amounted to 19 students. The data collection technique in this study was speech task. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of data analysis show that the use of independent learning models can affect students' speech skills. The results of hypothesis testing showed that the sig value. 0.038 <0.05 so that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, namely there is an effect of the use of independent learning models on students' speech skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the myth in the Ballak Tujua story in Onto Village, Bantaeng Regency using Levi-Strauss's structuralism theory. The research design used was descriptive qualitative. The data in that (1) Internal structure suggests that the seven leaders performed austerities to determine the king and provide guidance, so that Tumanurung is a figure of light who descends from the sky and provides guidance. A figure was found in Sulu Cinranaya and he was appointed king from among the seven leaders. There was the Akkawaru 12 Rajab traditional party and the Appakatinja event in Ballak Tujua. People's belief in the history of Ballak Tujua (2) The external structure seen from history is in line with the internal structure that Ballak Tujua in Onto Village is a leader who performs austerities to determine who will be king, so Tumanurung provides guidance. Belief in the Ballak Tujua myth has an influence on social life, people's beliefs have an influence on belief in myths and are influenced by the belief factor that everything will lead to good and avoid all evil.The data collection techniques used were field studies and documentation. This research focuses on the myth of the Ballak Tujua story in Onto Bantaeng. The research results showed that there were 19 data obtained from community interviews which included history and beliefs in the Ballak Tujua myth

Abstract

Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa SMK Pelayaran Katangka dalam menulis. Keterampilan menulis kalimat sangatlah berguna untuk menunjang berbagai kegitan akademik yang mereka lakukan, juga dapat menunjang karier mereka kelak. Keterampilan menulis merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang perlu dimiliki oleh siswa yang telah berada tingkatan menengah atas sebagai bekal untuk mereka yang sangat bermanfaat bagi pengembangan diri mereka, baik untuk melanjutkan studi mereka ke lembaga pendidikan yang lebih tinggi, maupun untuk digunakan dalam dunia kerja. Keterampilan menulis kalimat memerlukan pelatihan yang intensif sebab dalam menulis, kalimat ada banyak hal yang harus diperhatikan agar tulisan yang dihasilkan dapat dibaca dan dipahami oleh pembaca. Kegiatan PKM Pelatihan Penerapan Pola Pembentukan Kalimat Majemuk Rapatan pada Siswa SMK Pelayaran Katangka Makassar terlaksana dengan baik, sesuai dengan perencanaan kegiatan yang telah ditetapkan oleh Tim Pengabdi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa workshop. Dalam workshop, pendekatan praktis diterapkan dengan memberikan tugas menulis langsung kepada siswa. Siswa diberi panduan untuk menyusun kalimat majemuk rapatan yang relevan dengan konteks pelayaran. Tim PKM memberikan umpan balik langsung selama workshop dan memfasilitasi sesi review bersama-sama dari hasil tulisan. Hasil yang dicapai dalam kegiatan PKM, yaitu peserta pelatihan, dalam hal ini Siswa SMK Pelayaran Katangka Makassar telah mampu menerapkan pola pembentukan kalimat majemuk rapatan. Hal ini terlihat dari jawaban atas soal latihan yang diberikan dan tanggapan yang diberikan oleh siswa selama mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the initial reading ability of the lontarak script of class III students at SDN NO. 204 Balang Presidential Instruction, Takalar Regency. This type of research is quantitative research in the form of quantitative descriptive. The population in this study were all class III students at SDN NO. 204 Inpres Balang, totaling 19 people, is only in 1 class. The sample determined was 19 students, using a saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique used is a test technique, namely an oral test. The data collected will be analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the ability to read the beginning of the lontarak script of class III students at SDN No. 204 Balang Presidential Instruction Takalar Regency is declared incapable. This can be seen from the percentage of students who obtained a score ≥ 75 in the capable category that did not reach the set criteria, namely 75%, but only achieved 42.1%.

Abstract

The main problem in this research is the form of code switching and code mixing between sellers and buyers at the Pa'jukukang fish auction, Bantaeng district. This research aims to describe the forms of code switching and code mixing from Makassar language to Bugis language of sellers and buyers at the Pa'jukukang fish auction, Bantaeng district. This type of research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research design. The subjects in this research were sellers and buyers at the Pa'jukukang fish auction, Bantaeng district. The data in this research is in the form of oral data in the form of words, clauses and sentences containing code switching and code mixing from Makassar language to Bugis language sourced from sources, namely sellers and buyers at the Pa'jukukang fish auction, Bantaeng district, which was taken while the conversation process was in progress. Data collection was carried out using recording, listening and note-taking techniques. The results of this research show that there are three forms of code switching at the Bantaeng district fish auction, namely inter-sentence consisting of three data, intra-sentence consisting of three data, and code switching in tags consisting of three data. There are two forms of code mixing, namely the insertion of elements in the form of words consisting of three data and the insertion of elements in the form of phrases consisting of three data.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the ability to write narrative essays in Makassar language using learning video media for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Mappakasunggu, Takalar Regency. This type of research is a type of quantitative research. The population of this study were all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Mappakasunggu, Takalar Regency, totaling 141 students. Determining the sample in this research used Krejcie Morgan's theory with a sample of 103 students. Data collection in this research was carried out using test techniques on research samples. All the data obtained was analyzed through several stages: 1) making a list of raw scores, 2) making frequency distributions and raw scores, 3) calculating the scores obtained by students, 4) calculating the average value of students, 5) classifying students' skills based on the references provided determined. The results of this research show that class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Mappakasunggu, Takalar Regency are categorized as capable in learning to write narrative essays in Makassar language using learning video media as seen from the grades and percentage of students who got a score of 75-100, namely 79 people (77%) from 103 samples and has reached the specified criteria, namely 75% of the sample getting 75 and above is categorized as capable.
