Abstract

Healthcare services are a basic need for the community, and in Indragiri Hulu Regency, there are interesting dynamics related to the competition among hospitals in attracting patients. RS Muizzah, which is a new hospital in this area, has achieved a very significant increase in patient visits compared to other hospitals. This success is believed to be due to several factors such as the new facilities and effective promotional strategies, especially through the use of social media to introduce services to the community. This phenomenon makes this research relevant in answering fundamental questions about the factors that influence patients' decisions in choosing a hospital. The quality of service and the reputation of the hospital built through electronic word of mouth become two factors that are relevant to be studied in depth. So that it can help hospitals improve their service quality and marketing strategies. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of service quality and electronic word of mouth on the decision to choose a hospital for treatment. This research is a descriptive quantitative explanatory study aimed at gaining an understanding of a phenomenon using survey methods with questionnaires as data collection tools and observations as the main instrument conducted on patients in 4 hospitals in Indragiri Hulu district with a population of 59,105. The sample used consisted of 100 respondents. The independent variables in this study are service quality and electronic Word of Mouth, while the dependent variable is the decision to choose treatment at a hospital. The measurement of variables was conducted using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis method. From the research results, it was found that the decision-making process for choosing to seek treatment at the hospital in this study is positively and significantly influenced by service quality and e-WOM, with recommendations for improvement still identifying a lack of information about the availability of doctors and the promised service schedule. In addition, improvements in healthcare facilities and a quick and accurate response to patient complaints still need to be enhanced

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the work environment and work ability on employee performance and examines the mediating role of job satisfaction in this relationship, with empirical evidence drawn from the UPTD Muara Komam Health Center in Indonesia. The research was motivated by the need to enhance healthcare service quality through improved human resource performance, amid concerns over suboptimal working conditions and employee competencies. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 63 randomly selected employees via validated and reliable questionnaires. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method was employed using SmartPLS software for data analysis. Results demonstrate that both the work environment and work ability significantly influence employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction serves as a critical mediator, reinforcing the positive impact of these two factors on performance outcomes. The findings suggest that a supportive work environment and a competent workforce not only directly enhance performance but also do so indirectly through increased job satisfaction. The study offers valuable managerial implications, recommending that health sector administrators improve workplace facilities, foster collegial work relationships, and invest in continuous training to optimize employee performance and satisfaction.

Abstract

Higher education products or services received by students are experiential values. The purpose of this study is how to create the values of student experience so that student satisfaction arises. Higher education should now focus on students by creating strong ties with students and alumni. This research was conducted with a survey confirmatory approach. The survey was conducted at 32 universities in South Sumatra Province, Indonesia with a total sample of 357 students. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling and data analysis using structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis. The results showed that the values of experience in HE were formed through increased co-creation in HE, where students were directly involved in various campus activities. High co-creation shows that there is a stronger attachment of students to HE and higher value of student experience. Co-creation does not directly affect student satisfaction, but it does indirectly affect experience value. If the value of experience is higher, student satisfaction will also be higher.

Abstract

In an increasingly competitive era of public service, understanding the factors that influence public satisfaction is crucial for enhancing service quality. The primary objective of this study is to identify and analyze the impact of five service quality dimensions—tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy—on public satisfaction. This research also aims to provide recommendations for improving service quality at the Department of Transportation in Paser Regency. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 60 respondents who had used motor vehicle testing services within the last six months. Purposive sampling was employed to determine the sample, and data were gathered through questionnaires adapted from the SERVQUAL instrument. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine the relationships between variables. The findings indicate that of the five service quality dimensions tested, only assurance and empathy have a positive and significant impact on public satisfaction. Assurance was the most dominant factor, highlighting that the knowledge and competence of staff in providing safe and reliable services are crucial to the public. Empathy also plays a significant role, as attention and understanding of individual needs enhance satisfaction. Conversely, the dimensions of tangibles, reliability, and responsiveness did not show a significant impact on public satisfaction, suggesting that other factors might be more influential in this context. The managerial implications of these findings include the need for improvements in supporting facilities, regular training for staff, increased responsiveness, and the development of empathetic attitudes. With these measures, it is expected that service quality can be significantly improved, ultimately enhancing public satisfaction.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of digital technology utilization on consumer purchase decisions for necessities through the AISAS (Attention, Interest, Search, Action, Share) model, focusing specifically on users of the Ayo SRC application in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, Indonesia. Despite the significant growth in the number of application users, there remain challenges in converting user Interest and Search activities into actual purchase Actions. Employing a quantitative associative approach, data were collected from 249 active application users and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings revealed that digital technology significantly enhances consumer Attention, Interest, and Search behaviors. However, only the Attention stage significantly influenced actual Purchase Decisions. These results underline the critical role of creating attention-grabbing digital content to facilitate effective consumer conversion. The study offers theoretical insights into digital consumer behavior within the AISAS framework and practical recommendations for improving digital marketing strategies, particularly in optimizing consumer Attention to drive purchasing behaviors on digital platforms.

Abstract

Instant noodles are classified as fast food and are widely favored among university students due to their ease of preparation, affordability, availability, and long shelf life. This study aims to examine the influence of brand expertise and unhealthy lifestyle behaviors on the purchase of instant noodles among university students, with materialism serving as a moderating variable. The research used a survey method with a probability sampling technique, specifically simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using regression analysis methods with a statistical approach, employing descriptive and inferential analyses such as regression tests and moderation tests to examine the research hypotheses. The analytical techniques include multiple linear regression analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings indicate that brand expertise, unhealthy lifestyle behaviors, and materialism significantly influence the decision to purchase instant noodles among university students.
