Abstract

This study investigates the online shopping behavior of employees at PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Tanjung Enim Mining Unit. Using a qualitative case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with ten purposively selected respondents. The findings highlight convenience, promotions, and social influences as key factors shaping online shopping habits, alongside challenges such as financial control and shopping addiction. The study provides insights into consumer behavior dynamics among mining employees and offers recommendations for improving financial management and online shopping platforms.

Abstract

Non-renewable fossil fuels have raised global concerns due to their impact on the environment, including air pollution and climate change. As an alternative fuel, Briquettes offer an environmentally friendly solution by utilizing organic waste such as sawdust and coconut shells. This study explores Palembang residents' perception of briquettes as an alternative fuel, focusing on awareness, accessibility, price, and promotion. Interview findings indicate that although some residents know the benefits of briquettes, their adoption is hampered by uneven distribution, ineffective promotion, and less competitive prices. This study highlights the importance of technological innovation in improving the quality of briquettes as well as the role of the government in providing subsidies and education to the community. With the right strategy, briquettes have great potential to support the transition to more sustainable energy use

Abstract

Usaha, Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) merupakan tumpuan ekonomi sosial yang memegang peranan penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia. Pada proses pemulihan ekonomi Indonesia pasca covid-19 saat ini, sektor UMKM memiliki peranan yang sangat strategis dan penting. Adanya teknologi ataupun inovasi keuangan baru seperti fintech di lakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi dalam transaksi jual-beli yang mengharuskan untuk bertatap muka namun dengan adanya inovasi tersebut proses pembayaran akan lebih mudah dan akan lebih efektif yang diharapkan tetap dapat mempertahankan kinerja yang dihasilkan oleh para pelaku UMKM dimasa pandemi saat ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pengaruh inovasi keuangan terhadap kinerja UMKM di kota Palembang. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan unit analisis UMKM di Kota Palembang, dimana jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 responden dari populasi pelaku UMKM di sektor kuliner sebanyak 45.827 di Kota Palembang, dimana pelaku UMKM yang dimaksud dalam sampel penelitian ini yaitu pelaku UMKM di kalangan menengah dan yang bergerak disektor industri kuliner. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode Probability Sampling, dengan Teknik Simple Random Sampling. Metode analisis dalam penelitian ini dengan pendekatan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) untuk melihat model pengukuran dan model struktural. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa inovasi keuangan berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja UMKM. Hal ini bermakna bahwa semakin kuat inovasi keuangan yang dijalankan oleh para pelaku UMKM, maka akan meningkatkan kinerja usaha tersebut. Dari itu diharapkan para pelaku UMKM agar terus berinovasi untuk dapat meningkatkan kinerja dari usaha tersebut karena semakin efektif Inovasi keuangan yang dilakukan oleh UMKM maka Kinerja UMKM akan semakin baik dan akan membangun suatu kinerja yang baik dan efektif.

Abstract

Researchers around the globe have conducted studies on organizational performance till these days, but it is still interesting to investigate this topic. Technological developments encourage civil servants to improve their performance. This study aims to identify the influence of the Docudigital system and service qualities on the organizational performance of the civil servants of the National Civil Service Agency (NCSA) in Palembang. One hundred and eighty-five respondents from the NCSA Palembang working area participated in the survey of this study. The analysis technique was carried out using a structural equation model (SEM) approach through the LISREL program package. The results of the study show that the Docudigital application system quality has a positive impact on the service quality of NCSA Palembang. Furthermore, the service quality has a positive and significant effect on the organizational performance of NCSA Palembang. Moreover, the Docudigital application system has a positive and significant effect on the organizational performance of NCSA Palembang. In short, NCSA Palembang needs to enhance the service quality by improving the application system and prioritizing accuracy, speed, and convenience.

Abstract

The activity of loading and unloading ship goods at the port is one of the vital activities in the goods distribution chain. The performance of employees involved in this process has a direct impact on port efficiency and productivity as well as safety and security in its operations. However, in practice, a variety of factors might impact employee effectiveness in these activities. The aim of this research is to analyze the factors that influence the performance of employees involved in loading and unloading ship cargo activities at the port. This study0 uses quantitative research methods by collecting data through surveys using questionnaires and literature studies. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using a regression test using the SPSS program. The research results show that the factors that influence the performance of employees loading and unloading ship goods at the port include supervision, human resource competency and job security. Therefore, to improve employee performance, efforts need to be made such as strengthening the monitoring and control system for employee performance, improving employee training and competency development, and creating safe and comfortable working conditions for employees.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh profitabilitas dengan menggunakan alat ukur Return On Equity (ROE), Return On Asset (ROA) dan Return On Investment (ROI) terhadap biaya utang dengan menggunakan alat ukur Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) yang dimoderasi dengan laporan keuangan melihat kelengkapan laporan keuangan yang dilaporkan per triwulan atau per semester. Desain penelitiannya menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif terhadap 34 Perusahaan Teknologi Informasi yang terdaftar di BEI. Teknik analisis dilakukan dengan pendekatan model persamaan struktural (SEM). Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Profitabilitas berpengaruh terhadap biaya utang, laporan keuangan tidak berpengaruh terhadap biaya utang, dan laporan keuangan tidak dapat memoderasi pengaruh profitabilitas terhadap biaya utang. Dapat digunakan bagi perusahaan dan para investor dengan adanya penelitian diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam berinvestasi. Dapat digunakan teori dan pengetahuan dibidang akuntansi khususnya akuntansi keuangan dan diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat bekaitan dengan pengaruh profitabilitas terhadap biaya utang yang dimoderasi dengan laporan keuangan.

Abstract

A sustainable work environment is pivotal in enhancing employee productivity, particularly in the port sector, which faces high occupational risks and complex operational demands. This study aims to analyze the impact of occupational health and safety (OHS) and the work environment on employee productivity at Pelabuhan Indonesia PT (Persero) II, Tanjung Pandan Branch. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method with structured questionnaires completed by 37 respondents, analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The research variables included OHS dimensions (workplace conditions, safe behaviors, psychological atmosphere) and work environment factors (lighting, air temperature, noise, workspace, safety). The analysis revealed that OHS significantly influences productivity (p < 0.05), with a greater contribution from the psychological atmosphere dimension than other technical aspects. The work environment also positively affects productivity, with lighting and workplace safety emerging as the most significant contributors to fostering a supportive work atmosphere. These findings underscore the importance of a conducive work environment, supported by employee security and comfort, in boosting motivation and operational efficiency. The study’s social implications highlight that investments in OHS programs and workplace improvements enhance productivity, foster harmonious workplace relationships, reduce conflicts, and strengthen employees’ social well-being. Together, these variables account for 68% of the variance in employee productivity, emphasizing the critical role of OHS and work environment management in improving operational efficiency. This study offers practical recommendations to strengthen OHS programs through regular training, stringent supervision, and infrastructure enhancements that ensure employee comfort. These results are expected to reference other local ports in developing policies integrating workplace safety and environmental management to achieve sustainable productivity.

Abstract

This study delves into the effects of resilience, job resources, and job demands on the performance of BPS's statistical partners mediated by work engagement. The research uses a quantitative method with inferential analysis followed by a cluster sampling method from the questionnaire population of the statistical partner of the Central Statistic Agency (BPS) at the Mandailing Natal district of South Tapanuli in the year 2023. Results show that there is no positive relationship between resilience and performance. Resilience and job resources have a positive and significant effect on work engagement. Job resources and job demand have a positive and significant effect on performance. No positive relationship between resilience and performance. Job demand and work engagement also have no positive relationship. Work engagement mediates the relationship between job resources and performance but does not mediate the relationship between job demand and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of digital marketing in increasing sales at the micro, small, and medium enterprise (UMKM) Pempek Minah Tanggo Rajo Cindo, located in 7 Ulu, Palembang City. The research employs a field research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews with the business owner, Mrs. Aminah, and customers who use online communication media such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. Additionally, direct observation was conducted to understand the implementation of digital marketing in the business. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that the use of digital marketing through social media platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp has a positive impact on increasing sales. This includes providing transparent product information, ease of product updates, and product comparative analysis. Furthermore, the digital marketing techniques applied include advertising, direct marketing, personal selling, and sales promotion, which enhance customer response and drive sales. This research highlights how digital marketing can play a crucial role in the development of UMKM businesses through more effective and efficient marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of Employee Engagement and Work Environment on Employee Performance at PT Agronusa Alam Perkasa, an oil palm plantation company. Data was obtained through surveys and interviews with company employees. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression. The results showed that Employee Engagement has a positive, although not statistically significant, influence on Employee Performance. In contrast, Work Environment has a significant positive influence on Employee Performance. This indicates that aspects of a conducive work environment, such as good lighting and noise, play an important role in improving employee performance. Therefore, companies need to pay greater attention to improving the Work Environment as a strategy to improve employee performance. The limitation of this study is that it does not consider other factors that may affect employee performance. Future research should include these additional factors to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the factors.
