The research uses a quantitative approach with correlational descriptive methods. The data collection technique is distributing questionnaires with analysis techniques using SPSS 26 to analyze instruments (validity and reliability), descriptive statistical analysis, assumption analysis (normality and linearity) and inferential statistics in the form of coefficient correlation tests. The research results explain that variable It can be concluded that the leadership style of the Madrasah head is considered good. Variable Y has a normal data distribution and the result of calculating the partial average of the indicators in the variable is 3.23 in the "high" category. It can be concluded that the performance of educational staff is considered good. The leadership style of the Madrasah head has a significant relationship with the performance of educational staff with a Sig value. (2-tailed) between variable X and variable Y is 0.008 < 0.05 so it can be concluded that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. The calculated r value of the Pearson Correlation is 0.466 > 0.344 (r table), so it can be concluded that there is a relationship or correlation between leadership style (X) and the performance of educational staff (Y) as well as the criteria for the strength of the relationship being moderate/sufficient.

Abstract

This research examines the challenges educators face in maintaining ethical standards and fostering institutional effectiveness amidst growing complexities in the education sector. A qualitative research design was adopted, utilizing in-depth interviews and document analysis to gather comprehensive data on teachers' perceptions and implementations of professional ethics within school management frameworks. Findings indicate several critical barriers, such as inadequate institutional support, insufficient professional development programs, and external socio-political pressures that impede the consistent practice of ethical teaching. Moreover, the study reveals a gap between theoretical knowledge of professional ethics and its practical application in daily teaching activities. Recommendations include the establishment of collaborative support networks among educators, the development of ongoing professional capacity-building programs, and the implementation of robust institutional policies that prioritize ethical practices. Additionally, fostering moral resilience through reflective practice and mentorship programs can help teachers navigate ethical dilemmas effectively. This study contributes to the broader discourse on educational quality by highlighting the essential link between teacher professionalism, ethical standards, and institutional accountability. Ultimately, it underscores the need for schools and educational policymakers to create supportive environments where educators can thrive ethically and professionally, ensuring a sustainable, high-quality education system that benefits all stakeholders.

Abstract

Teacher discipline plays an important role in creating effective learning while reflecting professionalism and being a role model for students. However, there are still teachers who lack discipline, so the role of the principal is needed through the implementation of appropriate leadership. This study aims to analyze the democratic leadership style of the principal, teacher discipline, and the influence of both at Triyasa Junior High School, Bandung City. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through questionnaires and documentation studies. The results show that the democratic leadership style of the principal is in the high category with an average value of 4.00, while teacher discipline is also high with an average value of 4.22. The influence of democratic leadership style on teacher discipline is 45.5% based on the coefficient of determination (R2 = 0.455), while 54.5% is influenced by other factors.
