Abstract

Studi ini menganalisis tentang kemampuan self efficacy mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Zoologi Vertebrata. didasarkan atas data empiris yang dikumpulkan dari mahasiswa pendidikan Biologi di Universitas Siliwangi Tasikmalaya. Analisis dari 30 kuesioner mengungkapkan berbagai perbedaan berdasarkan tingkat pengalaman. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum pada dimensi magnitudo/level (tingkat kesulitan tugas) sebagai perwujudan seberapa besar optimisme mahasiswa pada keberhasilan (65,33%), kemampuan mahasiswa dalam penyesuaian diri terhadap tugas yang sulit (66,70%), kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menghindari situasi dan perilaku yang melampaui batas kemampuan (77,35%); dimensi strength (kemantapan keyakinan dan harapan) meliputi kemampuan dalam mempertahankan (59,70%), keuletan (76,7%); dimensi generality (keragaman dan luas bidang perilaku) meliputi kemampuan kognitif (66%), kemampuan afektif(84,70%) dan kemampuan psikomotik (56,70%). Berdasarkan informasi tersebut tergambarkan bahwa mahasiswa belum cukup terbiasa dengan kemampuan self efficacy yang dimilikinya, sejumlah kemampuan masih perlu untuk dilatihkan dan dikembangkan, terkait dengan materi zoologi vertebrata mahasiswa belum cukup terbiasa mengatasi kemampuan dalam mempertahankan. Mahasiswa juga belum cukup terbiasa mengatasi keragaman dan luas bidang perilaku, dimana kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa dan kemampuan dalam psikomotoriknya masih perlu untuk ditingkatkan

Abstract

Kemampuan kognitif siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam menilai kualitas pembelajaran biologi di sekolah. Namun, berbagai laporan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa masih belum berkembang secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan kognitif siswa SMA pada materi perubahan lingkungan berdasarkan taksonomi Bloom revisi. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 36 siswa kelas XI di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Tasikmalaya yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes esai yang dikembangkan berdasarkan enam dimensi proses kognitif, yaitu mengingat, memahami, menerapkan, menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan persentase capaian setiap indikator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan kognitif siswa sebesar 50,46 persen berada pada kategori cukup. Capaian tertinggi terdapat pada indikator mengingat, sedangkan capaian terendah terdapat pada indikator mengevaluasi dan mencipta. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan kognitif siswa masih didominasi oleh kemampuan berpikir dasar dan belum berkembang optimal pada kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian selanjutnya direkomendasikan untuk melibatkan sampel yang lebih luas serta menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental guna menguji efektivitas strategi atau media pembelajaran inovatif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan analisis, evaluasi, dan kreasi siswa secara lebih komprehensif.

Abstract

Reflective thinking constitutes a critical 21st-century competency aligned with the demands of Society 5.0 and the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study maps the reflective thinking profile of 31 ninth-grade students at SMPN 2 Singaparna on the topic of the human reproductive system through a quantitative descriptive analysis using the Reflective Thinking Questionnaire (RTQ) adapted from Kember et al. (2000). The results indicate an overall mean score of 3.54 (moderate category), with habitual action as the lowest dimension, understanding and reflection categorized as high, and critical reflection as moderate. These findings underscore the necessity of instructional strategies that integrate reflection at every stage of the learning process. The study recommends the development of a Problem-Based Learning model grounded in a deep learning approach as an alternative to strengthen junior high school students’ critical and reflective thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Augmented Reality (AR) learning media using Assemblr Studio on students' technological literacy in Biology. The research method used was Quasi Experimental Design with a Post-test Only with Non-equivalent Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes: class XI 4 as the experimental class using AR media with Assemblr Studio and class XI 1 as the control class using conventional methods in the form of PowerPoint subjects at MAN 2 Kota Tasikmalaya. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data were collected through a posttest in the form of a technological literacy questionnaire using a Likert scale with 20 statements covering content, process, context, and attitude indicators. The hypothesis test results using the Independent Samples T-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of using AR learning media with Assemblr Studio on students' technological literacy. In addition, the effect size (Cohen’s d) value of 1.14 is categorized as a high effect, demonstrating that the use of AR learning media with Assemblr Studio has a strong influence on technological literacy. This media has been proven to improve students' understanding, learning motivation, and technological literacy through a more realistic and engaging visual interactive learning experience, making it a potential alternative solution to enhance technological literacy in schools.

Abstract

The ability to think analytically is an ability that must be possessed by students in the 21st century because this ability is useful for solving problems and making decisions. When students' analytical thinking skills are low, it will also have an impact on their learning outcomes. One of the efforts to improve this can be through infographic learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of infographic learning media on analytical thinking skills and student learning outcomes on Genetic Substance material in class XII MIPA MAN 3 Tasikmalaya City. The research method used was Quasi experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all XII MIPA MAN 3 Tasikmalaya City School Year 2023/2024 as many as 54 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique, obtained class XII MIPA 2 as the experimental class and class XII MIPA 1 as the control class. The instrument used was a multiple choice test to measure learning outcomes as many as 23 items and a description test to measure analytical thinking skills as many as 7 items. The data analysis technique used was ANCOVA test. Based on the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing, it shows that the significance value of analytical thinking ability and learning outcomes is 0.000 <0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an effect of infographic learning media on analytical thinking skills and student learning outcomes in the Genetic Substance material in class XII MIPA MAN 3 Tasikmalaya City.
