Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by the Wordwall application on student learning outcomes in Grade V IPAS subjects at SD Inpres Kabonena. This research employs a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design, specifically the one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 25 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests, interviews, and documentation. The analysis involved prerequisite tests including normality testing, N-Gain analysis, and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-Test, assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. The results of this study indicate a T-test significance value of 0.001 < 0.05; therefore, H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted, meaning that there is a significant effect of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by the Wordwall application on student learning outcomes. It can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by the Wordwall application has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of Grade V students in IPAS subjects at SD Inpres Kabonena. The Problem-Based Learning model assisted by the Wordwall application deserves to be considered as an alternative solution for innovative and effective learning in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research investigates the teacher’s role in music education for fifth-grade students at SD Islam Alhidayah Besusu. Recognizing that music learning at the elementary level is essential for developing students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, the study focuses on how teachers act as facilitators, classroom managers, motivators, supervisors, and demonstrators. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation involving a classroom teacher and students. Findings reveal that while the teacher has performed well as a demonstrator and class manager, several challenges persist, including limited musical instruments and the teacher’s lack of formal training in music education. Observations and student questionnaires indicate that students generally perceive the teacher’s efforts positively, especially in creating a conducive learning atmosphere and providing clear demonstrations. Statistical results from the questionnaires show that 62.5% of students state the teacher always gives clear examples before practice, and 50% feel inspired by musical works shown in class. In conclusion, despite facing resource constraints, the teacher’s proactive role significantly supports the effectiveness of music learning. It is recommended that schools provide more comprehensive training and facilities to empower teachers in delivering high-quality music education in primary schools.

Abstract

Character education plays an important role in shaping the personalities of elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in shaping the character of fourth-grade students at SDN Ululere. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teachers play the role of educators, teachers, and coaches in shaping students' character. As educators, teachers instill religious values and responsibility through habitual prayer, exemplary behavior, and routine activities such as class duty. As teachers, teachers integrate character values into learning through group discussions and differentiated learning, emphasizing honesty, cooperation, and responsibility. As coaches, teachers provide personal guidance, routine religious activities, and training in student independence. From this character-building process, four main characters are strengthened, namely religious, honest, independent, and responsible. This study confirms that character building in students requires a collaborative approach between teachers, schools, and parents in a consistent and sustainable manner.
