Abstract

Agricultural land is an important production factor in agriculture, but there is an imbalance between the availability of land and the number of land-using farmers and smallholders in West Java, which indicates that there is farmer demand for agricultural land. The objects of this research were 500 potato farmers in West Java. These respondents were selected using a 2-stage stratified sampling technique. The data used in the research are primary and secondary data. The primary data collection tool in this research is a survey. The aim of this research is to examine the factors that influence farmers' demand for agricultural land in West Java. In this study, the results obtained were that the productivity factor and market choice had a positive influence on farming profits with values of 0.59 and 0.23 respectively, then the farming profit factor had a negative influence of -0.07 and the area of land that had irrigation and The access to credit factor each has a positive influence of 0.07 on the farmer participation factor in the land market. Keywords: Agricultural Land, Farmers, Land  INTISARILahan pertanian merupakan faktor produksi yang penting dalam pertanian namun terjadi ketimpangan antara ketersedian lahan dengan jumlah petani pengguna lahan dan petani gurem di Jawa Barat yang mengindikasikan adanya permintaan petani terhadap lahan pertanian. Objek pada penelitian ini adalah 500 Petani kentang di Jawa Barat, responden tersebut dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling stratifikasi 2 tahap. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah data primer dan sekunder. Alat pengumpulan data primer pada penelitian ini adalah survey. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meneliti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan petani terhadap lahan pertanian di Jawa Barat. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh hasil faktor produktivitas dan pilihan pasar memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap keuntungan usahatani dengan nilai masing-masing sebesar 0,59 dan 0,23, kemudian faktor keuntungan usahatani memiliki pengaruh negatif sebesar -0,07 dan faktor luas lahan yang memiliki irigasi serta faktor akses terhadap kredit masing-masing memiliki pengaruh positif sebesar 0,07 terhadap faktor partisipasi petani di pasar lahan. Kata kunci: Lahan Pertanian, Petani, Lahan

Abstract

Vegetable farmers in West Java currently are generally small farmers whose land holdings are less than half a hectare. Of the approximately 14 million smallholder farmers throughout Indonesia, the majority are on the island of Java, of which around 2 million smallholder farmers live in West Java. This indicates that it is increasingly difficult for West Java farmers to have the ability to expand their land, so they need help from the government to increase access to land. Based on this explanation, the aim of this research is to describe the participation of vegetable farmers in increasing land access control in West Java. The population in this study were West Java potato farmers in 2023 with 500 farmers taking respondents. Survey Methods and PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal). This is the method used in this research. This research shows that farmers pay an average land rental of 1.1 million rupiah per hectare, coupled with an increase in land rental prices by an average of 5% per year. The result of this is that there are only 63 farmers who are able to rent two to three plots of land and there is only one farmer who rents four plots of land. Apart from that, farmers who sell land have the lowest farming experience compared to others. Keywords: Vegetable Farmers, Land Area, Small Farmers, West Java INTISARIPetani sayuran di Jawa Barat saat ini pada  umumnya merupakan petani gurem yang penguasaan lahannya kurang dari setengah hektar. Dari sekitar 14 juta orang petani gurem yang ada di seluruh Indonesia, didominasi di pulau Jawa yang diantaranya yaitu sekitar 2 juta orang petani gurem tinggal di Jawa Barat. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa petani Jawa Barat semakin sulit untuk mempunyai kemampuan dalam memperluas lahannya sehingga perlu dibantu oleh pemerintah untuk dapat meningkatkan akses terhadap lahan. Berdasarkan paparan tersebut tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripisikan partisipasi petani sayuran terhadap peningkatan penguasaan akses lahan di Jawa Barat. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah petani kentang Jawa Barat tahun 2023 dengan responden yang diambil adalah 500 petani. Metode Survey dan PRA (Partisipatory Rural Appraisal). Menjadi metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menujukan Petani membayar sewa lahan rata-rata sebesar 1,1 juta rupiah per hektarnya, ditambah dengan adanya peningkatan harga sewa lahan rata-rata sebesar 5% per tahun. Akibat dari hal tersebut adalah hanya ada 63 petani yang mampu menyewa lahan sebanyak dua sampai tiga plot dan hanya ada satu orang petani yang menyewa lahan sebanyak empat plot. Selain itu, petani yang melakukan penjualan lahan pengalaman usahataninya paling rendah dibanding yang lainnya. Kata Kunci : Petani Sayuran, Luas Lahan, Petani Gurem Jawa Barat.

Abstract

Konsumsi produk pangan semakin meningkat di kalangan konsumen saat ini karena berbagai alasan terutama kesehatan dan keamanan pangan. Perusahaan produk pangan memperoleh peluang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dan permintaan pasar ini dengan menciptakan bebagai inovasi produk pangan berlabel pangan sehat yang dijual dengan harga premium. Penelitian ini melakukan survei kepada konsumen produk pangan tempe premium yang sudah tersertifikasi menunjukkan hasil bahwa target pasar produk tempe sehat ini adalah kelompok dewasa yang sebagian besar secara rutin berbelanja produk ini sebanyak tiga kali dalam satu minggu sehingga dikategorikan sebagai pelanggan setia. Alasan terbanyak pembelian produk tempe premium berlabel sehat ini adalah karena produk dan harga produk tempe ini dinilai berkualitas yang dianggap dapat memberikan manfaat kesehatan saat dikonsumsi, dan harga yang dibayarkan sepadan dengan kualitas yang diterima konsumen. Keputusan pembelian konsumen juga dinilai strategis dan dekat secara lokasi pembelian dengan lokasi pelanggan. Promosi pemasaran yang banyak diterima konsumen adalah karena pemasar memberikan persuasi yang tepat kepada pelanggan membeli produk serta informasi mulut-ke-mulut yang dilakukan pelanggan lain. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi keilmuan terkait pemahaman pola perilaku berbelanja produk pangan berlabel premium dan kontribusi praktis terkait strategi bauran pemasaran produk pangan premium berdasarkan karakteristik target pasar.

Abstract

Changes in coffee consumption patterns have led to an increase and development in the coffee shop industry. The emergence of the cafe-hopping trend has necessitated continuous innovation in coffee shops. This research aims to understand the perspectives of coffee shop business owners and consumers regarding the cafe-hopping trend. The study used a sample of 169 individuals selected randomly through simple random sampling technique, and two informants were purposively selected to provide in-depth insights into the trends, developments, challenges, and opportunities in the coffee shop business. The data collection method involved interviews with coffee shop business owners for descriptive analysis. The research findings indicate that from the perspective of business owners, the cafe-hopping trend signifies high competition in the coffee industry. While it can increase exposure for coffee shops, it also carries the potential risk of losing regular customers and reducing customer loyalty. From the consumer's perspective, the cafe-hopping trend encourages the desire to explore new places and gain new experiences.

Abstract

Supplier performance plays an important role in ensuring the availability of supply goods that will affect the Serumah Kopi is a coffee shop that mainly sells coffee. Several marketing activities have been carried out to increase sales volume, but the sales volume of the coffee shop is still low. The objectives of this study are to 1) understand the current marketing management of Serumah Kopi Coffee Shop, 2) identify alternative marketing strategies and the best marketing strategy for Serumah Kopi Coffee Shop. The research method used is qualitative with a case study technique. Primary and secondary data were collected through observation, interviews and literature studies. Data were analyzed using strength, weakness, opportunity & threat (SWOT) and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis. The results of the study show that there are seven alternative strategies 1) Providing testers / free trial vouchers to the local community, 2) Consistently creating creative content by highlighting characteristics, 3) Selling through all online food delivery platforms as well as participating in promos from each online food delivery platform , 4) Providing the accuracy of the guarantee of suitability of taste & timeliness of making orders, 5) Providing games (cards, chess, etc.) and wifi to support consumer needs. With an alternative priority strategy is the first strategy.

Abstract

Developing knowledge about healthy and halal food can help individuals choose the type of food that suits their nutritional and health needs. However, even though knowledge on this matter has grown rapidly, there are still many challenges in applying this knowledge in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge regarding healthy and halal food and consumption patterns. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained through the results of the questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is a nonparametric statistical test including the Chi-Square test with representation using cross tabulation. The results of this study indicate that respondents understand healthy foods as foods that are slightly processed, foods that contain little sugar, flour, and carbohydrates, and foods that predominantly contain vegetables and fruits. Furthermore, respondents understood that halal food is processed food that contains additional ingredients that have been approved by the government because there is a safe quality label and food that has received a halal certificate is listed on the label. The next result is that there is no significant relationship between knowledge of halal and healthy food and consumption patterns (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).

Abstract

ABSTRACTToday many types of modern food have sprung up, but consumers must be careful in choosing whether the food is healthy and halal. The purpose of this research is to describe the characteristics and buying behavior of students towards healthy and halal food. The research method used is survey and data analysis technique is descriptive statistics. The results of this study found that the majority of respondents were women with 59%, while the most income was in the range of 1-2 million/month with 45%. In this study, in general, respondents were quite careful in choosing healthy and halal food products. The results of other behaviors in reading food labels to check for ingredients that are hazardous to health in food, show differences in the number of respondents, namely the number of male respondents is less than the number of female respondents. While other behaviors, namely the behavior of ensuring that there is a halal label on processed food before buying it, the behavior of choosing places to eat that are labeled healthy food, and the behavior of choosing places to eat that are labeled halal, did not show a significant difference in the number of respondents.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of current rice farmers in Buahdua Sub-district, Sumedang Regency, how rice farming costs are structured, and how farmer characteristics are associated with land area and income. This research is a quantitative study with a survey research method that uses questionnaires for its research instruments. The population in this study was rice farmers in Buahdua Subdistrict, Sumedang Regency with a sample size used in this study of 65 respondents. The analytical tools used included descriptive statistics and cross tabulation. The results showed that the cost structure of rice farming in Buahdua District, Sumedang Regency consisted of the largest portion of fertilizer costs, followed by seed costs, pesticide costs and labour costs. In the results of cross tabulation analysis, it is known that male rice farmers tend to manage larger land and dominate the higher income group compared to women. The age group of 40-60 years dominates the highest income and most are classified as smallholders with land under 0.5 hectares.

Abstract

The risk management process begins with identifying potential risks that may occur in a business. Greenhouse X is an urban farming enterprise in Bandung City whose supply of water spinach (kangkung) has not been able to optimally meet market demand. Greenhouse X also partners with other farmers to help fulfill supply needs, but supplier partners are often inconsistent in meeting supply demands. There are risks in water spinach production that lead to uncertainty in supply quantity, which can harm the business. This research aims to analyze production risk events in hydroponic water spinach at Greenhouse X and its supplier partners. The study uses a qualitative design with a case study method analyzed descriptively. The results identify 19 production risk events with varying severity levels. The highest-risk events with a serious impact (Si=9) are plant death during growth and root rot. Other high-impact risks include harvest delays and unmet product quantity were identified as having extreme impacts (Si=8).

Abstract

Sumedang Regency is one of the regions in West Java with relatively low rice production compared to Karawang, Indramayu, and Subang Regencies. The low productivity of rice farming in Sumedang presents an opportunity to introduce functional food crops as an alternative source of income for rice farmers. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of rice farmers and their current farming practices, as well as to examine their interest and likelihood of cultivating hanjeli as an alternative crop. A descriptive statistical approach was employed, using survey and questionnaire methods distributed to 65 respondents in Buahdua District, Sumedang Regency. The results indicate that the majority of rice farmers are male, aged between 40–60 years, and married. Most have completed elementary school, do not own land, and cultivate less than 0.5 hectares. Their average farming income is IDR 1.4 million per month, with an average monthly production cost of IDR 1.8 million. The findings reveal that the interest of rice farmers in cultivating hanjeli remains low. Most farmers are not yet confident in the economic potential of hanjeli as a supplementary income source. However, a small number of farmers show a potential willingness to adopt hanjeli cultivation, suggesting that with proper intervention and market support, adoption could increase over time.
