Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly affected rural livelihoods, particularly among rainfed rice farmers whose income heavily depends on seasonal rainfall and market access. This study explores the livelihood strategies adopted by rainfed rice farmers in Kalampadu Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, during the pandemic era. The research aims to identify how farmers adapted their agricultural and non-agricultural activities in response to declining productivity, market disruptions, and mobility restrictions. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation involving 25 farming households. The analysis applied the Sustainable Livelihood Framework (SLF) to assess changes in five livelihood assets: human, natural, physical, financial, and social capital. The findings indicate that farmers experienced significant income reduction due to unstable rainfall patterns and limited access to agricultural inputs. To cope, they diversified their income sources through wage labor, small-scale trading, livestock rearing, and social network-based cooperation. Social capital played a crucial role in maintaining food security and sustaining mutual aid systems such as “gotong royong.” Furthermore, women contributed to household resilience by engaging in home-based economic activities, including food processing and handicrafts. The government’s social assistance programs and local institutions’ support were identified as key external factors enhancing adaptive capacity. This study concludes that livelihood sustainability among rainfed farmers during the pandemic relied on a combination of diversification, adaptation, and social collaboration. Strengthening local institutional capacity and promoting climate-resilient agricultural practices are recommended to enhance future livelihood resilience in rural communities vulnerable to environmental and economic shock

Abstract

The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The main focus of this research covers the recognition, measurement, depreciation, derecognition, as well as the presentation and disclosure of fixed assets. The results of the study indicate that the recognition and measurement of fixed assets have been carried out in accordance with the provisions of PSAK 216, namely recognized when the assets are ready for use and measured based on acquisition cost. However, discrepancies were found in the depreciation treatment, where the company charged depreciation in full without considering the actual usage period of the assets, and has not yet derecognized assets that are already damaged. In addition, the presentation and disclosure of fixed assets have not been formally implemented in the financial statements. This study recommends the need for a more structured accounting system, proportional depreciation recording, and comprehensive fixed asset disclosure to ensure that financial statements are more reliable, relevant, and compliant with standards. Abstract

Background: Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level still faces challenges, including low student achievement, often due to the use of teaching models that do not actively engage students. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a learning model that encourages student participation, such as the Inquiry Learning Model. Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of the Inquiry Learning Model on the achievement in Indonesian language learning of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Bengkulu City. Method: The research employed a quasi-experimental design with an experimental and a control class. Data were collected through achievement tests, and analysis was conducted using SPSS version 27, including tests for normality and homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. Findings: The results showed that the experimental class increased from 57.40 to 83.20, while the control class increased from 58.80 to 72.60. The t-test results indicated a t-value of 4.520 with a significance level of 0.000, leading to the rejection of H₀ and acceptance of H₁. Conclusion: The Inquiry Learning Model has a significant effect on students’ achievement in Indonesian language learning. Contribution: This study provides empirical evidence and serves as a reference for teachers in implementing active, student-centered learning approaches.

If IM = 1 (100 %), this value is equal to the monthly average price so it can be said to be normal or balanced. The mapping of fishing areas (rajungan) is carried out partifively through the geographic information system (GIS). The peak yield of the crab fishing season occurs in July and November. The average weight of crabs obtained using dragon bubu and gill net is 1.91 kg and 3.43 kg. Intensive fishing activities can cause turbidity due to sediment stirring on the seafloor and affect seagrass and algae that function as feeding grounds and nursery grounds.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of the platform economy has transformed labor structures and reshaped social relations within digital society. While platform-based work offers flexibility and entrepreneurial narratives, it simultaneously intensifies algorithmic control and individualization, raising concerns about the fragmentation of social solidarity. This study aims to analyze how the individualization of work in the platform economy contributes to the transformation and fragmentation of social solidarity, while also examining the emergence of new forms of digital collective identity. A qualitative sociological approach was employed using multiple case studies of ride-hailing drivers, couriers, and food delivery workers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, digital ethnography of online worker communities, and document analysis of platform policies. The findings reveal that algorithmic governance, performance ratings, and the “partner” ideology weaken collective labor identity and foster competition and isolation. However, workers simultaneously construct digital communities through social media and messaging platforms, enabling episodic and hybrid forms of solidarity. The study concludes that the platform economy produces a paradoxical dynamic: it fragments traditional social solidarity while generating new digitally mediated collective formations. Social cohesion in digital capitalism is therefore not eliminated but reconfigured within evolving socio-technical structures.
