Abstract

This study aims to analyze demand forecasting for Piping Hydraulic products at PT. X  using three methods: Double Exponential Smoothing, Moving Average, and Linear Regression. The primary focus of this research is to identify significant patterns from historical demand data to generate more accurate demand predictions. By doing so, the study is expected to assist the company in improving inventory planning accuracy and supporting operational efficiency. Through a quantitative approach, this study compares the three forecasting methods to determine which is most effective in reducing prediction errors. Historical demand data were analyzed to uncover relevant trends and fluctuations, serving as the basis for selecting the appropriate forecasting method. The results indicate that all three methods used were effective in minimizing forecasting errors. Furthermore, the study provides strategic recommendations to help the company develop better production planning and design more efficient inventory policies. These findings are expected to contribute positively to the management of product demand in the future. Abstract

Multilayer plastic waste, sanitary ceramics and rubber have potential as paving block mixtures. Multilayer plastic waste is difficult to decompose and recycle, resulting in minimal management. In addition to multilayer plastic waste, rubber waste is also hard to decompose because it is a non-organic waste resistant to water, soil, and chemical compounds. Ceramic waste can be used as a mix for paving blocks due to its durability and strength, and it helps reduce the volume of waste being disposed of. This research aims to see the suitability of the visible properties of paving blocks from these three wastes with SNI 03-0691-1996 concerning Concrete Bricks (Paving Blocks) and the amount of waste reduction potential. Making paving blocks uses 8 (eight) compositions, namely Ceramic Waste (LKK): Multilayer Plastic Waste (LPM) at 20%:80%, 30%:70%, 40%:60% and 0%:100%. Then Ceramic Waste (LKK): Multilayer Plastic Waste (LPM): and Rubber Waste (LKT) at 20%:60%:20%, 30%:50%:20%, 40%:40%:20%, and 50%:30%:20%. The visible properties of paving blocks that comply with SNI 03-0691-1996 are only found in some samples. Non-compliance with SNI can be caused by several things, including varying composition amounts, mixing materials (homogenization) and paving block printing. Based on the results of making paving blocks with 8 (eight) different compositions, there are 3 (three) compositions whose properties appear to be by SNI 03-0691-1996, namely at a composition of 20% LKK: 80% LPM, 100% LPM, and 20 % LKT: 60% LPM: 20% LKK. The amount of waste reduction from these three wastes ranges from 167.6 kg to 768 kg. Keywords: waste, plastic, ceramic, rubber, paving block.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (OHS) is an important aspect of the world of work that must be fulfilled by companies. One of the ways that companies do to meet these needs is by providing training to employees in the form of work accident simulations which aim to allow employees to analyze accidents that arise due to work activities. PT. XYZ is a company that has work activities, one of which is moving goods using a crane, so the company is obliged to provide information on work accidents that can occur in this activity. This study aims to design a tool as a simulation for activities using this crane with the method used is Research and Development. Designing a mini crane simulator prototype as a prop for work accidents at PT. XYZ was developed based on Arduino with the use of an Infrared sensor which will cancel the light if the light is obstructed by an object and make crane activity stop so that work accidents can be overcome. The use of this Mini Crane Simulator is placed in the Safety Dojo which is a training venue. Further and further research on this tool is still needed and tailored to the needs of the company.

Abstract

Abstrak                                                                                 Sampah merupakan permasalahan yang saat ini menjadi perhatikan di Indonesia. Sumber sampah salah satunya ada pada kegiatan sehari-hari di masyarakat, sehingga perlu adanya edukasi dan peningkatan pengetahuan bagi masyarakat untuk pemilihan dan pengelolaan sampah. Bank sampah merupakan salah satu solusi karena berfokus penanggulangan sampah dan dapat menghasilkan nilai ekonomis bagi masyarakat. Desa Pajaten Karawang melalui program dan komitmen Kepala Desa ingin mendirikan bank sampah, sehingga dalam hal ini dosen Unsika melalui program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Program Hibah Prioritas Unsika DIPA Tahun 2023 berkomitmen melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi penanggulangan dan pengeolahan sampah menjadi produk bernilai tambah serta memberikan pendampingan pendirian bank sampah dengan mengundang narasumber pihak Asobsi DPD Karawang. Setelah dilakukannya kegiatan sosialisasi didapatkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat dengan rata-rata pre-test sebesar 28.6% dan post-test sebesar 90% untuk pengetahuan masyarakat terkait pemilahan dan pengelolaan sampah, jenis sampah yang dapat di daur ulang dan bernilai ekonomis, pendirian bank sampah, jenis, dan regulasi pada aktivitas bank sampah. Saran untuk pelaksanaan PkM selanjutnya adalah dapat dilakukannya kegiatan monitoring keberhasilan adanya bank sampah dengan meningkatnya nasabah, jumlah sampah yang ditukar, dan bahkan berkembangnya bank sampah dari unit menjadi induk pada Desa Pajaten Karawang. Kata kunci: sampah;  bank sampah;  penanggulangan sampah; pemilahan sampah. AbstractWaste is a problem that is currently being paid attention to in Indonesia. One of the sources of waste is in daily activities in the community, so there is a need for education and increasing knowledge for the community regarding waste selection and management. Waste banks are one solution because they focus on waste management and can produce economic value for society. Pajaten Karawang Village, through the program and commitment of the Village Head, wants to establish a waste bank, so in this case Unsika lecturers through the Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Program Hibah Prioritas Unsika DIPA Tahun 2023 are committed to carrying out socialization activities on waste and its management as well as providing assistance in establishing a waste bank by inviting resource persons. Asobsi DPD Karawang. After carrying out socialization activities, it was found that community understanding increased with an average pre-test of 28.6% and post-test of 90% for community knowledge regarding waste sorting and management, types of waste that can be recycled and have economic value, the establishment of waste banks, types , and regulations on waste bank activities. Suggestions for further implementation of PkM are that activities can be carried out to monitor the success of the waste bank with the increase in customers, the amount of waste exchanged, and even the development of the waste bank from a unit to a main one in Pajaten Karawang Village. Keywords: waste; waste bank; waste management; waste sorting

Abstract

Product and service quality factors are important aspects of business continuity. Consumers will abandon low-quality products and services. Consumers will feel satisfied if all aspects of the products and services are appropriately accommodated. Product and service quality have different tendencies because service quality dimensions are more complex than product quality. This study aims to analyze the quality of customer service at auto repair shops based on consumer preferences. Assessment of the level of satisfaction and consumer expectations of each attribute is done by filling out a questionnaire to identify the gap between the level of importance and level of performance. The consumer's assessment of each indicator of the auto repair shop is carried out through a questionnaire filled out to the consumer to find out the gap between the level of importance and the level of performance. The analytical method used is Importance Performance Analysis–IPA showing that the attributes of auto repair shops that need to be improved are [P1] improving the repair period as promised, [P2] Procedures and managerial capabilities in providing adequate service, [P3] Results following consumer recommendations, and [P4] Knowledgeable workshop managers and staff, [P5] Service speed from responsiveness quality dimensions, [P11] Credibility and honesty of workshop managers and staff, [P12] Clarity of communication and information to consumers. The priority of quality attributes of auto repair shops that will be improved can provide alternative development priorities between human resources and limited equipment servicing.

Abstract

Background: Stunting merupakan kondisi kesehatan yang disebabkan oleh kekurangan gizi dalam periode waktu panjang, yang berdampak pada hambatan pertumbuhan fisik serta perkembangan mental anak. Dampak stunting tidak hanya terbatas pada gangguan pertumbuhan tubuh, tetapi juga memengaruhi perkembangan kognitif, produktivitas di masa depan, hingga meningkatkan risiko penyakit kronis. Pemerintah Kabupaten Bekasi menargetkan penurunan prevalensi stunting hingga 10% pada tahun 2025. Oleh karena itu, Posyandu Kenanga XXII Cikarang yang berlokasi di Perumahan Imanan Residence perlu melakukan upaya perbaikan melalui peningkatan kapasitas kader sebagai tenaga pendukung pelayanan kesehatan ibu dan anak, khususnya dalam pemahaman kesehatan serta keterampilan pengukuran tinggi dan berat badan. Metode: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, evaluasi, hingga rencana keberlanjutan program. Pelaksanaan dimulai dengan diskusi kelompok terarah (FGD) bersama mitra, yang kemudian menghasilkan tiga materi utama untuk pelatihan. Hasil: Kegiatan berlangsung pada 5 Juli dan 9 Agustus 2025 di Posyandu Kenanga XXII Cikarang dengan agenda utama pelatihan bagi kader serta sosialisasi aplikasi e-StuntCare kepada masyarakat. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman kader hingga 100% terkait kesehatan ibu dan anak (KIA), gizi serta pemberian makanan dalam 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan (HPK), serta penggunaan antropometri sebagai alat ukur pertumbuhan. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan kader posyandu, serta menghasilkan dukungan berupa penyediaan alat antropometri dan pemanfaatan aplikasi digital e-StuntCare sebagai sarana pemantauan stunting yang dapat digunakan masyarakat secara mandiri.

Abstract

Background: Vocational education plays a crucial role in preparing competent graduates who meet industry needs. SMK MedikaCom Bandung, as a Center of Excellence school, continuously strives to enhance teacher competencies to improve the quality of graduates who can be absorbed into the workforce and to serve as a model for other vocational schools. The Department of Mechanical Engineering at SMK MedikaCom Bandung seeks to strengthen both teacher and student understanding of CAD/CAM technology through the application of CNC machines, supported by training and the integration of a (DfM)-based curriculum. Methods: The activities were conducted on August 22 and 27, 2025, through several stages, including socialization, FGDs, teacher training on DfM, development of digital teaching modules, and student mentoring in product-based projects. Evaluation was carried out using pre- and post-test instruments to measure differences in participants’ knowledge and skills before and after the program. Results: The test results indicated that all variables had p-values < 0.05, signifying a significant improvement. Teachers showed an increase in their understanding of CAD/CAM applications on CNC machines from 80% to 90% and in their knowledge of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Teaching Factory methods from 70% to 85%. Students also demonstrated improved comprehension of CNC utilization in non-conventional machining learning from 75% to 93%. Conclusions: The community service program effectively enhanced teachers’ and students’ mastery of CAD/CAM technology and their understanding of DfM. These outcomes support the implementation of an industry-based digital curriculum and strengthen the relevance of vocational school learning to workforce demands.

Abstract

Background: Salted egg production is one of the processed food sectors with strong market potential but still faces efficiency challenges, particularly in the egg washing stage. SMEs Digdo Bintang Telur in North Cikarang, as the partner in this program, still relied on manual washing methods, limiting production capacity to approximately 200 eggs per day and resulting in a high rate of shell damage. This Community Service Program aims to reduce the time and labor required for egg washing, minimize shell damage through the implementation of an automatic salted egg washing machine, and introduce digitalization in bookkeeping and marketing practices. Method: The implementation methods included socialization, training, machine installation, mentoring, evaluation, and the development of digital bookkeeping and online marketing. The implemented machine was equipped with adjustable speed control, cleaning brushes, inspection lighting to assess egg quality, and an automatic counter for clean and qualified eggs. The results showed a significant improvement, with productivity increasing up to sixteenfold and the rate of shell damage decreasing by 69%. Evaluation of digital bookkeeping revealed improved record accuracy, easier transaction tracking, and faster financial summaries through the use of digital applications and QRIS-based payments. In terms of marketing, analysis of social media reach and engagement (Facebook and Instagram) indicated an increase in online purchases of up to ten orders. Conclusion: This program proved effective not only in enhancing productivity through the innovation of an automatic salted egg washing machine but also in strengthening the partner’s competitiveness through bookkeeping and marketing digitalization.

Abstract

Background: Teaching factory (TeFa) di SMK MedikaCom Bandung telah berhasil mengembangkan berbagai produk unggulan, namun menghadapi kendala serius dalam aspek pemasaran dan standardisasi produk yang menghambat potensi komersialisasi. Keterbatasan ini meliputi belum adanya Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) produksi, lemahnya identitas merek, dan minimnya pemanfaatan pemasaran digital. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapabilitas siswa melalui serangkaian pelatihan yang komprehensif guna menginisiasi pembentukan inkubator bisnis. Metode: Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan partisipatif melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan intensif yang mencakup empat pilar utama: (1) penyusunan SOP dan alur proses produksi; (2) desain kemasan dan branding menggunakan Canva; (3) pembuatan konten promosi; serta (4) pengelolaan platform penjualan di marketplace. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan ini berhasil menghasilkan purwarupa desain produk, draf SOP, serta akun penjualan yang siap diaktifkan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini secara keseluruhan, 80% peserta sangat setuju dan 33,33% setuju, bahwa pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat besar bagi mereka dalam pengembangan kegiatan TeFa selanjutnya. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini berhasil menjawab persoalan prioritas yang dihadapi sekolah. Sebagai tindak lanjut, terbentuk inisiasi unit inkubator bisnis yang dikelola siswa untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program secara mandiri.

Abstract

This community service (hereinafter, PkM) is the result of a collaboration between University Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta and Politeknik Meta Industri Cikarang which aims to increase the industrial insight of students and general participants through proficiency in German. This activity was held on December 17, 2020 through a media zoom meeting with a power point and smartboard interactive whiteboard (hereinafter, IWB) presentation for two hours, which was attended by around 100 participants. The material is divided into three parts, namely 1) Introduction to the industrial world in Germany, 2) German Industry in Indonesia, and 3) Introduction to German language and culture. At the end of the activity, participants write down suggestions and comments. In general, it can be concluded that this PkM activity increases the participants' insight and understanding of industry in Germany and German language which is useful for industrial engineering students and society in general.
