Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at SDN Jeruk 1 Surabaya through the implementation of Big Book media. The study was conducted in two cycles involving 23 students as research subjects. The research method employed the Kemmis and McTaggart CAR model, consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activities, as well as reading comprehension tests, and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results demonstrated significant improvement in students' reading comprehension. In Cycle I, the classical mastery level reached 60.8% with an average score of 66.8, while in Cycle II, it increased to 82.6% with an average score of 77.6. This improvement was supported by enhanced learning activities, including more interactive use of Big Book media, increased student participation, and better summarization skills. Observations also revealed heightened student interest and motivation, with the majority showing enthusiasm and engagement in collaborative reading activities. The study concludes that Big Book media is effective in enhancing elementary students' reading comprehension. Its strengths lie in its visually appealing design and enjoyable learning approach, which create a meaningful classroom atmosphere. This research contributes significantly to the development of literacy teaching methods, particularly in addressing reading comprehension difficulties at the elementary level. The study recommends broader implementation of Big Book media in Indonesian language instruction.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the "MAKRUF" (Mahir Makhorijul Huruf) as learning media for Islamic Education (PAI) subjects with makhorijul huruf material. It also aims to make it easier in understanding makhorijul huruf to support the ability of IX grade students in reading the Holy Qur'an. This research uses the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) method. The R&D research method is containng a series of analyzing, designing, developing products, implementing development results and evaluating the results of implementation. This research showed that the media development of "MAKRUF" was declared valid by obtaining a validity percentage of 97% and a very valid category, both from the media validator and material validator perspective. So that the results of developing the "MAKRUF" media are suitable for use as learning media. Keywords: Learning media; Makhorijul Huruf; Junior High; Students

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Determine the development of E-comic media on the subject of Aqidah Akhlaq for class X. (2) To determine the results of student learning on E-comic media on the subject of Aqidah Akhlak for class X. The method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) research method, which was developed using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation)  model. The resulting product is validated by media experts and material experts, to determine the feasibility of the learning media before being tested. The results of this study obtained a score of 92% in material validation and 91% in media validation, which means that this learning media is categorized as "very feasible" to be tested. Student learning outcomes are assessed using the assessment report result which produce a score of 90% anad student response result of 92% with the category "very interesting". Thus, the E-comic learning media in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak class X, is categorized as very feasible to be used in learning and students are very interested in using it

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangakan media pembelajaran aplikasi Se_U (Simple Usholli) berbasis aplikasi adroid yang dibuat dengan menggunakan power point dan ispring suite yang berisi tentang materi kelas VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah khususnya bab shalat. Konten diperoleh dari berbagai sumber dan diolah menjadi media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi android. Penelitian dilakukan di MTs Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Seblak Jombang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan atau di sebut juga Research and Development. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat Skala Likert untuk menentukan hasil penelitian dan divalidasi oleh alhli media dan ahli materi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan peneliti masuk dengan kategori baik dengan hasil ahli materi 82 %, ahli media 92 %, dan hasil angket respon siswa sebesar 91 %. Selanjutnya media pembelajaran berbasis andorid bisa dipakai sebagai peneletian yang berjudul “ Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Se_U (Simple Usholli) Pada Mata Pelajaran Fiqih Kelas VII di MTs Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Seblak Jombang”.

Abstract

Tindakan bullying banyak dilakukan oleh remaja-remaja dilingkungan sekolah. Bullying ini dilakukan seseorang atau kelompok tertentu untuk menyakiti seseorang melalui fisik atau psikologis dan membuat korban trauma dan tertekan. Dilatar belakangi sering terjadinya bullying di sekolahan peneliti mengadakan sosialisasi di MTs Sunan Gunung Jadi Katemas sehingga nantinya para siswa menjadi faham akan bahayanya bullying. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode sosialisasi. Dengan adanya sosialisasi ini diharapkan mampu mengurangi atau bahkan menghilangkan tindak bullying yang terjadi di sekolahan. Hasil dari sosialisasi ini adalah perubahan yang terjadi pada pemahaman para peserta yang mengikuti sosialisasi di lingkungan sekolahan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memotivasi tenaga pendidik agar mampu menerapkan dan membiasakan peserta didik membaca Al-Quran dengan tepat dan benar sesuai kaidah- kaidah Tajwid melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan pembelajaran ilmu Tajwid dengan metode yanbu’a kepada guru TPQ di Desa Balongsari Dengan menggunakan modul pembelajaran Kalender Praktis Ilmu tajwid bab nun sukun, mim sukun, qolqolah dan mad. Adapun pendekatan atau metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah metode Community Based Research yakni sebuah pendekatan yang menekankan pada partisipasi yang aktif dari komunitas, sehingga dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan, motivasi, dan kemandirian. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan dan pengaplikasikan media pembelajaran Al-Qur’an sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik di TPQ tersebut, maka guru dapat memanfaatkan media pembelajaran membaca Al-Qur’an dengan menggunakan metode yanbu’a sebagai kalender Tajwid dalam pembelajaran, terutama dalam penerapan ilmu Tajwid pada Lembaga TPQ di Desa Balongsari. Penggunaan media pembelajaran dapat membantu keterbatasan pendidik dalam menyampaikan informasi dan mendukung tenaga pendidik agar mampu menerapkan materi ilmu Tajwid sebelum peserta didik TPQ memasuki jenjang tingkatan Al-Qur’an melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan pembelajaran ilmu Tajwid dengan metode yanbu’a. Hal ini dapat menjadi solusi pengembangan serta penerapan metode pembelajaran yang tepat agar siswa lebih mudah dalam proses belajar membaca Al-Qur’an dengan baik dan benar sesuai kaidah ilmu tajwid.

Abstract

Water-holding containers serve as breeding sites for Aedes aegypti. The control of mosquito breeding sites and the use of household insecticides are some of the DHF control methods. The use of household insecticides over a long period can reduce the susceptibility of mosquitoes to these insecticides. This research aims to determine the mosquito's habitat characteristics and to determine the Aedes aegypti resistance status to malathion in Jember.  A total of 61 houses were surveyed, and the various types of containers encountered at the sampling locations were recorded. Larvae and pupae found at the sampling location are brought and hatched in the laboratory. Aedes aegypti was tested for resistance status to malathion insecticide using a CDC bottle bioassay and biochemical nonspecific esterase enzyme activity. A total of 140 containers were found in this study, and 36.43% of them are Aedes aegypti larvae/pupae habitat. Types of containers used as mosquito larval habitat are bottles/glasses, bathtubs, used basins/buckets, water storage buckets, trash cans, refrigerator water containers, used cans, gutters, livestock drinking water containers, fish ponds, plant pots, used livestock cages, used toilets, used jugs, used animal feeders, and used aquariums. The mortality of Aedes aegypti reached 42.3% (resistant). Meanwhile, the results of biochemical tests showed an increase in the activity of the nonspecific esterase enzyme. This study concludes that Aedes aegypti from Jember has been resistant to malathion insecticide

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to develop and validate interactive learning media based on Google Sites for teaching Sunnah Prayers (Sholat Sunnah) to eighth-grade students. Methodology/Approach: The development follows the systematic stages of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model, with validation limited to expert assessment by 2 media experts and 2 Islamic Religious Education material experts. The validity and feasibility of the media were tested through structured expert evaluation using a 5-point Likert scale. Findings: The validation results from media experts showed a score of 86% (Feasible category), while the assessment from material experts obtained 98% (Very Feasible category). The developed media successfully integrates multimedia elements including text, images, videos, and interactive quizzes that are easily accessible to students. Practical Implications: The learning media is declared feasible for use in PAI instruction. However, classroom implementation stages have not yet been conducted; evaluation consists of revisions based on expert feedback. Originality/Value: This digital innovation offers a specific and structured solution for teaching Sunnah Prayers to Grade VIII students, potentially improving student motivation, understanding, and learning independence in Islamic Religious Education while addressing modern educational challenges.
