Abstract

Abstrak: Kanker payudara menjadi perhatian global karena tingginya insiden di seluruh dunia. Peningkatan kesadaran akan kanker payudara sangat penting untuk membantu perempuan berisiko mencari perawatan medis untuk penyakit tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan terutama guru dan siswi mengenai cara deteksi dini kanker payudara. Sebelum kegiatan dilakukan, sosialisasi dilakukan di sekolah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan guru dan siswi di lokasi kegiatan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan selama 2 hari, pada hari pertama dilakukan silaturrahmi antara tim pengabdian dengan mitra serta sosialisasi kegiatan, sedangkan hari kedua dilakukan edukasi bahaya kanker payudara dan simulasi/praktik SADARI pada guru dan siswi di MAS Muallimin Muhammadiyah Makassar sebanyak 25 orang yang terdiri dari 10 guru dan 15 siswi. Sebelum dan setelah edukasi dilakukan pengisian kuesioner untuk melihat distribusi frekuensi pengetahuan peserta. Hasil akhir kegiatan memperlihatkan adanya perubahan skor pengetahuan peserta dimana sebelum edukasi didapatkan skor pretest pengetahuan dengan nilai rata-rata 55, setelah edukasi didapatkan skor pengetahuan peserta dengan nilai rata-rata 73. Ini memperlihatkan bahwa adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai kanker payudara dan pemeriksaan payudara secara mandiri setelah dilakukan edukasi.Abstract: Breast cancer is a global concern due to its high incidence worldwide. Increased awareness of breast cancer is essential to help at-risk women seek medical treatment for the disease. This community service activity was carried out to increase knowledge, especially teachers and female students, about how to detect breast cancer early. Before the activity was carried out, socialization was carried out at the school to find out the description of the knowledge of teachers and students at the location of the activity. This service activity was carried out for 2 days, on the first day a friendship was held between the service team and partners and socialisation of activities, while the second day was carried out education on the dangers of breast cancer and simulation / practice of SADARI for teachers and students at MAS Muallimin Muhammadiyah Makassar as many as 25 people consisting of 10 teachers and 15 students. Before and after education, a questionnaire was filled in to see the frequency distribution of participants' knowledge. The final results of the activity showed a change in the participants' knowledge score where before education the pretest knowledge score was obtained with an average value of 55, after education the participants' knowledge score was obtained with an average value of 73. This shows that there is an increase in knowledge about breast cancer and breast self-examination after education.

Abstract

Introduction: Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) includes practices such as handwashing with soap, maintaining personal and environmental hygiene, proper waste disposal, and consuming nutritious food. According to the World Health Organization (WHO, 2021), up to 60% of childhood diarrhea cases can be prevented through proper hand hygiene. The Indonesian Ministry of Health (2020) also reports that the PHBS program in schools significantly reduces the incidence of infectious diseases. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a PHBS education program in promoting disease prevention and improving health behaviors among elementary school students. Methods: A pre-experimental design was used, involving 50 students from SDN Bawakaraeng III Makassar. Data were collected through pre- and post-intervention tests and observational checklists. The program, conducted over four days, with sessions on personal hygiene, environmental cleanliness, and healthy eating habits. Statistical analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to compare pre- and post-test scores, and McNemar’s test was used to assess changes in students' health practices. Results: Pre-test results showed an average score of 65 (out of 100), while post-test results increased to an average score of 85, indicating a significant improvement of 20 points (p-value = 0.031) based on the Wilcoxon test. The improvement was greater among female students, with an average increase of 23 points, compared to male students, whose average increase was 17 points. Observations revealed that 50% of students did not know the correct handwashing steps before the intervention, which increased to 75% after the program. Additionally, students' adherence to PHBS practices improved significantly, rising from 50% to 70% (p-value = 0.013) as assessed by McNemar’s test. Conclusion: The findings demonstrate that the PHBS education program significantly improved students' awareness and practices regarding disease prevention, as evidenced by the measurable increases in knowledge and behavior change.

Abstract

The writing of this paper is motivated by the phenomenon of the use of adverb in print media, especially in local newspapers in the city of Padang. The use of adverb, shows the diversity of forms with different behaviors. In this connection, this study aims to describe the forms of adverb used in local print media in the city of Padang and explain their morphological, syntactic and semantic behavior. There are three research methods and techniques used in this paper, 1) data supply methods and techniques, 2) data analysis methods and techniques, and 3) data analysis methods and techniques. The population of this study is the entire use of adverb in local newspapers in the city of Padang. The research sample is adverb used in two newspapers, the Padang Ekspres newspaper and the Haluan newspaper. Based on its shape, there are two forms of adverb used in local newspapers, namely monomorfemis and polymorphemic adverbs. Based on the behavior, the adverbs used in local newspapers have different behavior. Keywords: Adverb, newspaper, forms, behavior

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam skripsi ini, yaitu: (1) Apa saja jargon yang digunakan oleh anggota organisasi AIESEC Unand? (2) Apa faktor situasional yang mempengaruhi penggunaan jargon tersebut? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan apa saja jargon yang digunakan oleh anggota organisasi AIESEC Unand dan faktor situasional yang mempengaruhi penggunaan jargon tersebut.                 Metode dan teknik peneitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dan teknik yang dikemukakan oleh Sudaryanto. Penelitian inn terbagi atas tiga tahap, yaitu: (1) tahap penyediaan data, (2) tahap analisis data, dan (3) tahap penyediaan hasil data. Pada tahap penyediaan data, digunakan metode simak yang terdiri dari teknik dasar dan teknik lanjutan. Teknik dasar yang digunakan adalah teknik sadap, teknik lanjutan yang digunakan, yaitu teknik Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SBLC) terdiri dari rekam, catat, dan wawancara. Pada tahap analisis data, metode yang digunakan adalah metode padan translasional, metode padan refensial, dan metode padan pragmatis yang terdiri dari teknik dasar dan teknik lanjutan yaitu Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP), dan Hubung Bandin Perbedaan (HBB). Selanjutnya, pada tahap penyajian hasil analisis data, dugunakan metode penyajian informal.  Berdasarkan analisis data, ditemukan jargon-jargon yang digunakan oleh anggota AIESEC Unand. Jargon yang ditemukan adalah: roll call, ori, pre-ori, newie, role, high role, expa, exp, bad case, isi, overwhelmed, op, teamdays, host fam., sustain, drum roll, ice breaking, global village, gtky, etek-etek, sucek, prede, buddies, lcp, lcvp, ocp, oc. Faktor situasional yang mempengaruhi penggunaan jargon oleh anggota AIESEC Unand yaitu: (1) siapa yang berbicara, (2) kepada siapa berbicara, (3) kapan, (4) di mana, dan (5) mengenai masalah apa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the imperative sociopragmatics form on speech of ‘amak-amak’ during the cooking process for the ‘manujueh hari’ tradition in Nagari Salayo in March 2020. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the analysis of this study reveal that there are 33 imperative sociopragmatic forms of data used as imperative sociopragmatics analysis material. 6 advertisements in the form of imperative sociopragmatic ordinary, 11 advertisements in the form of imperative sociopragmatic licensing, 7 advertisements in the form of imperative sociopragmatic invitations, 9 advertisements in the form of imperative sociopragmatic orders. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that the form of sociopragmatics that often arises is licensing sociopragmatics.
