Abstract

This research has a purpose to determine the direct and indirect influence of self-efficacy on sociocultural adaptation through the self-esteem of Indonesian students who take part in the AuPair program in Germany. The research sample was 53 Indonesian students who had participated in the Au Pair program in Germany. Not many alumni of the Au Pair program come from Indonesia. In 5 years (2017-2022) only 53 young people from Indonesia have participated in this program. The research instrument uses a questionnaire compiled from developing indicators for each variable. Data analysis techniques use description analysis, normality test, multiple regression, correlation coefficient analysis, and hypothesis testing using the SPSS 25 application. Research results: self-efficacy can be a good predictor for sociocultural adaptation variables and self-esteem. However, self-esteem cannot be a mediating variable for self-efficacy on sociocultural adaptation. Self-efficacy and self-esteem are both independent variables that can contribute to socio-cultural adaptation. The implication is that every Indonesian student who wants to continue their studies abroad must increase their self-efficacy and self-esteem through various training or mentoring programs regarding the culture of the country they are going to and the skills needed by prospective students abroad. There needs to be further research involving a larger sample which might produce different results and analyze the factors causing why self-efficacy does not have an indirect effect on socio-cultural adaptation through self-esteem.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method at New Concept English Education Centre in Indonesia, focusing on its integration with Information and Communication Technology (ICT). CLT emphasizes authentic communication and interactive pedagogy, aiming to improve students' speaking and listening skills. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis to assess how CLT enhances language acquisition. Findings reveal that incorporating ICT tools such as digital platforms, multimedia resources, and gamified applications significantly supports real-world communication, fostering engagement and motivation among learners. Despite these advancements, challenges persist, particularly regarding technology access and infrastructure. This study underscores the transformative potential of ICT-enhanced CLT in modern language education while offering insights for curriculum development and teacher training to optimize English language instruction in Indonesia and similar contexts.

Abstract

  Innovative learning needs to be implemented, there are many learning obstacles that occur in children. Cases of bullying, excessive anxiety, difficulty concentrating. This research uses the method of reviewing school data and archives, in the form of forms given to parents for school promotion in the form of a questionnaire. A total of 71 students stated that they were waiting to continue their studies at home schooling, 36 parents stated that they would still send their children to school. Learning barriers have a percentage of 31.25% while instantaneous time and distance is 31.25%, children's health is at 25% and children's lack of socializing is 3.12%.This phenomenon makes parents careful in responding to their children's needs. Various programs have been considered. Kak Seto Depok's homeschooling comes with exciting and fun learning. Kak Seto Depok's homeschooling also has a variety of programs, because it sees the variety of cases that occur in the world of education.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the innovative work behavior of vocational high school teachers in terms of servant leadership which is intervened by knowledge sharing. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique was simple random sampling which came from vocational high school teachers from the provinces of East Java, Central Java, West Java, DKI Jakarta, Banten, Riau Islands, and South Sumatra with a total of 165 teachers. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis and path analysis. Results: The dimension of the teacher's innovative work behavior, namely with the intent of benefit to the organization has the highest score and the idea promotion dimension has the lowest score. Servant leadership has a positive and significant influence on knowledge sharing with a contribution of 42.3%. knowledge sharing has a positive and significant influence on innovative work behavior with a contribution of 58.4%. Knowledge sharing cannot be an intervening variable of servant leadership on innovative work behavior because the path analysis results show that servant leadership does not directly affect innovative work behavior through knowledge sharing. The implication is that city or district education offices must further enhance the idea promotion exploration of teachers through training or workshops and maintain that with the intent of benefit to the organization of teachers through servant leadership style and knowledge sharing of teachers and school principals.

Abstract

Lokakarya fasilitasi kebutuhan belajar dan berbagi praktik baik merupakan salah satu rangkaian kegiatan implementasi kurikulum merdeka dalam Program Sekolah Penggerak. Tujuan pembelajaran dari lokakarya adalah pengawas sekolah mampu merencanakan program pendampingan kepala sekolah dalam memfasilitasi kebutuhan belajar guru dan berbagi praktik baik secara berkala. Lokakarya dilaksanakan selama 8 Jam Pelajaran dengan metode pelaksanaan berupa ceramah, pengerjaan lembar kerja dan diskusi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Biglang Otel Sentul, Jawa Barat pada 3 Desember 2022. Lokakarya diikuti oleh 18 orang pengawas sekolah dari jenjang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini/Taman Kanak-kanak (PAUD/TK) sampai Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Kabupaten Bogor, Provinsi Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Susunan acara kegiatan lokakarya meliputi: pembukaan, mulai dari diri, eksplorasi konsep, ruang kolaborasi, refleksi terbimbing, demonstrasi kontekstual, elaborasi pemahaman, koneksi antar materi, rencana aksi nyata dan penutup. Hasil lokakarya adalah meningkatkan kemampuan pengawas sekolah dalam mengidentifikasi kebutuhan kepala sekolah dalam memfasilitasi kebutuhan belajar guru (keberadaan komunitas praktisi, aktivitas pengembangan kompetensi yang diikuti, dan sebagainya) dan rencana program pendampingan kepala sekolah dalam memfasilitasi kebutuhan belajar dan berbagi praktik baik pada satuan pendidikan. Rekomendasi untuk kegiatan ini adalah para pengawas diharapkan dapat segera mengimplementasikan kebutuhan belajar dan menjalankan program pendampingan kepala sekolah di satuan pendidikan binaan masing-masing.

Abstract

Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) serta dampak peningkatan kompetensi PNS terhadap pelaksanaan layanan publik guna mendukung kebijakan reformasi birokrasi Indonesia. Metode kajian literatur merupakan serangkaian kegiatan yang berkenaan dengan metode pengumpulan data pustaka, membaca dan mencatat, serta mengolah bahan penelitian. Artikel ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Bagaimana urgensi Pendidikan bagi Pegawai Negeri Sipil? (2) Bagaimanakah dampak pendidikan Pegawai Negeri Sipil bagi reformasi birokrasi Indonesia? Berdasarkan hasil kajian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa peningkatan kualitas sumber daya pegawai perlu dilakukan secara terencana, terarah, dan berkesinambungan dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan dan profesionalisme. Kualitas sumber daya pegawai yang tinggi akan bermuara pada lahirnya komitmen yang kuat dalam penyelesaian tugas-tugasnya. Terdapat urgensi pendidikan bagi PNS yaitu untuk peningkatan kompetensi, pemenuhan syarat jabatan, pengembangan karier, mengurangi kesejangan kompetensi serta memenuhi kebutuhan SDM yang handal. Hal ini sejalan dengan tujuan reformasi birokrasi Indonesia yang menekankan pada mutu pelayanan yang baik. Keterampilan PNS yang memadai sangat krusial bagi keberhasilan reformasi birokrasi di Indonesia, mengingat PNS merupakan garda terdepan bagi implementasi kebijakan pemerintah dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan publik. Pendidikan dapat mengembangkan kompetensi PNS, sehingga PNS yang berkompetensi unggul akan membawa keberhasilan bagi pelaksanaan kebijakan reformasi birokrasi.

Abstract

Improving Teacher Communication Skills through Personality Variables and Perceptions of the Social Environment. This study aims to comprehensively understand the influence of perceptions of personality and social environment on the communication skills of high school teachers. The research approach is quantitative with a survey method. The total sample is 209 teachers as a sample of 439 teacher population in Central Java Province, Indonesia by simple random sampling method. Data analysis used prerequisite analysis test and inferential statistics with path analysis. Analysis and interpretation of the data shows that an increase in the dominant type of flexibility of the teacher's personality improves the teacher's communication skills. The increased similarity of perceptions of the teacher's social environment results in an increase in the teacher's communication skills. Increasing the dominant type of teacher personality flexibility results in an increase in the similarity of perceptions of the teacher's social environment. Abstract

The learning process in Vocational High Schools (VHS) aims to prepare graduates to be ready for work and entrepreneurship. However, many VHS graduates remain unemployed. To address this issue, students need skills aligned with job market demands and entrepreneurial competencies. This study aims to develop an entrepreneurial spirit in VHS students through literacy and assess their cognitive abilities. The research was conducted at a vocational school in Jakarta using purposive sampling. The method employed was digital ethnography, focusing on student behavior in digital spaces. Data were collected through digital observation and in-depth interviews with two students. The research process included problem identification, literature review, data collection and analysis, and data presentation.Instilling an entrepreneurial spirit is vital to broaden students' perspectives, spark interest in entrepreneurship, and inspire them through stories of entrepreneurial figures. This transformation is supported by comprehensive and continuous entrepreneurial literacy, enhanced by teacher-led taxonomic assessments of learning activities. The study reveals students’ entrepreneurial spirit through literacy initiatives and provides teachers with insight into students' cognitive dimensions in understanding entrepreneurship. These insights enable teachers to design entrepreneurial learning programs that address all levels of the cognitive taxonomy.

Abstract

Lokakarya perencanaan pembelajaran merupakan salah satu siklus dalam kegiatan implementasi kurikulum merdeka dalam Program Sekolah Penggerak. Tujuan pembelajaran adalah para guru memahami fasilitasi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan murid di satuan pendidikan dalam kegiatan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Lokakarya dilaksanakan selama 8 Jam Pelajaran dengan metode pelaksanaan berupa ceramah, pengerjaan lembar kerja dan diskusi yang disesuaikan dengan konsep pembelajaran orang dewasa (andragogi). Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Biglang Sentul Hotel & Convention, Sentul Jawa Barat pada 12 November 2022. Lokakarya dihadiri oleh 18 peserta yang terdiri atas 3 orang pengawas, 5 kepala sekolah dan 10 orang guru Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Kabupaten Bogor, Provinsi Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Hasil lokakarya adalah revisi rancangan modul Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila dengan detail teknik fasilitasi yaitu terdapat pertanyaan pemantik dan rencana kegiatan diskusi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Rekomendasi untuk kegiatan ini adalah para para guru yang didukung oleh pengawas dan kepala sekolah dapat mengimplementasikan rancangan modul pembelajaran yang tepat dan menyampaikan pengetahuan ini kepada guru-guru lain disatuan pendidikan masing-masing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai Penggunaan Model Evaluasi CIPP ( context, input, process, product ) Dalam Upaya Peningkatan Karakter Kewirausahaan Siswa (Studi pada SMK Negeri Jakata Pusat). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keberhasilan evaluasi dengan model CIPP (context, input, process, product) d Dalam Upaya Peningkatan Karakter Kewirausahaan Siswa (Studi pada SMK Negeri Jakata Pusat). Pada penelitian ini design penelitian yang digunakan adalah Teknik deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan perihal Dalam Upaya Peningkatan Karakter Kewirausahaan Siswa  di SMKN 14 Jakarta, SMKN 31 Jakarta, dan SMKN 54 Jakarta secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Model Evaluasi CIPP (context, input, process, product) Dalam Upaya Peningkatan Karakter Kewirausahaan Siswa (Studi pada SMK Negeri Jakata Pusat) dalam kategori Baik. Dengan hasil yang baik ini diharapkan pembelajaran teaching factory dapat terus ditingkatkan agar jiwa kewirausahaan siswa dapat terus dipupuk menjadi lebih baik.
