Abstract

Introduction: Anemia is one of the nutritional problems in adolescents, especially at the Morosi Health Center with a prevalence of anemia in June 2022 of 27.95% who have an Hb of 9-10 g/dl, 9.67% have a Hb of 7-8 g/dl and 1.07% Hb< 7 g/dl. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving Fe tablets to increase hemoglobin in young women in the mining area of Morosi District. Methods: This type of research is pre-experimental, with a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The population is part of young women in WonuaMorini Village, Besu Village, and Mendikonu Village, amounting to 72 people taken using the Proporsionatestratifed random Sampling technique. Hb level data was obtained by easy touch meter. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon sign rank test. Results: Showed the average Hb level before intervention was 11,38 g/dl and after intervention was 11,38 g/dl. The second week 11,68 g/dl after the intervention. The third week after the intervention was 12.86 g/dl and the fourth week after the intervention was 12.86 g/dl.The results of the Wilcoxon sign rank test obtained a p-value (0.000) < (0.05). Conclusion: There is no effect of giving Fe tablets in the first and there was an effect of giving Fe tablets in the Second to fourth weeks of increasing hemoglobin in young women in the mining area of ​​Morosi District. Research suggests that young women routinely consume blood-added tablets once a week.

Abstract

Sampai saat ini masih sedikit dilakukan penelitian tentang efektivitas penggunaan pupuk organic cair yang diperkaya Trichoderma sp. dan biochar terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung (Zea mays L.). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh POC yang diperkaya Trichoderma sp. pada pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung (Zea mays L.), untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian biochar dari berbagai jenis bahan baku terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung (Zea mays L.) dan untuk melihat interaksi antara aplikasi POC yang diperkaya Trichoderma sp. dengan pemberian biochar dari berbagai jenis terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung (Zea mays L.) yang lebih baik dan sesuai yang diharapkan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang disusun dalam bentuk faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu POC yang diperkaya Trichoderma sp. dengan 2 taraf perlakuan yaitu ; tanpa perlakuan dan POC yang diperkaya Trichoderma sp. dan faktor kedua yaitu pemberian Biochar, dengan 3 taraf perlakuan, yaitu ; tanpa perlakuan, Biochar arang kayu, dan Biochar arang sekam. Kombinasi antara aplikasi POC yang diperkaya Trichoderma sp. dan biochar arang sekam menunjukkan hasil yang sangat tinggi terhadap semua parameter yang diukur dibandingkan dengan tanpa perlakuan.

Abstract

The development of corn plants (Zea mays L) can be carried out in the soil of Podsolik Merah Kuning. Constraints of organic matter content and low nutrient content so that the production produced is less than optimal. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of compost, biochar and MOL on the growth and production of corn plants planted in the soil of Podsolik Merah Kuning.The research was prepared in the form of a Group Random Design (RAK) consisting of 5 treatments, namely chemical fertilizers, compost fertilizers and biochar., compost fertilizers and MOL., and compost fertilizers, biochar and MOL. The results showed that the compost fertilizer treatment gave the best results for plant height, which was 176.50 cm, stem diameter 2.56 cm, and fruit weight 106.08 grams. The treatment of compost and MOL gave the best results on the number of leaves as many as 11.08 sheets. The treatment of compost and biochar fertilizers gave the best results at a biomass weight of 430.83 grams. The combination treatment of compost, biochar and MOL gave the best results for the weight of seeds per cob of 167.33 grams, the weight of cobs of 62.00 grams, and the production per hectare of 11.95 tons/ha. The application of compost, biochar, and MOL has an intangible effect on the weight of fruit, seed weight per cob, cob weight and production per hectare but has a real effect on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter and biomass weight. The application of compost, biochar, and MOL fertilizers tends to provide higher yields for the growth and production of maize plants planted in the Podsolik Merah Kuning soil

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of suitability of land physical properties for the development of corn plants in Pangkep Regency. The method used is by collecting administrative maps in Pangkep Regency. The technique used is by using the Arc-GIS processing tool, digital land system data is cut with the administrative map of Pangkep Regency to obtain a land data system for Pangkep Regency. Data on the physical characteristics of Pangkep Regency were extracted from the Pangkep Regency land system data to obtain data and maps of the physical characteristics of the Pangkep Regency area. Then analyze the physical characteristics of the soil for the suitability of corn plants for the suitability of each physical characteristic of the soil in Pangkep Regency with the requirements for growing corn plants based on the criteria of the Ministry of Agriculture's Research and Development Center. Conclusions that can be drawn from this research are: 1. There is land with a very suitable land suitability class (S1) for the development of corn plants with a total area of 29,641ha spread across every sub-district in Pangkep Regency.2. There is land with a moderately suitable land suitability class (S2) with a total area of 3,730 ha and a marginally suitable land suitability class (S3) with a total area of 17,903 ha for corn crops in Pangkep Regency. 3 There is land with an unsuitable land suitability class (N) with a total area of 27,754 ha which has severe inhibiting factors so that it cannot be used as a location for developing corn plants in Pangkep Regency.

Abstract

Evaluation of land suitability will provide information for land use in accordance with plant characteristics so that land can be used as it should. The purpose of this study was to determine the classification of land suitability for corn based on soil chemical properties in Pangkep Regency. This research was conducted from February to April 2024. Located in several districts in Pangkep Regency. This research was conducted using survey method. The technique used is by using Arc-GIS processing tools, digital land system data is cut with the administrative map of Pangkep Regency so as to obtain land system data for Pangkep Regency. Data on the chemical characteristics of Pangkep Regency were extracted from the land system data of Pangkep Regency to obtain data and maps of chemical characteristics of the Pangkep Regency area. Then the analysis of soil chemical characteristics for corn crop suitability matches the suitability of each soil chemical characteristic in Pangkep District with the requirements for growing corn crops based on the criteria of the Puslitbangtan Ministry of Agriculture. The conclusions that can be drawn from the study are 1.There is land with a land suitability class that is quite suitable (S2) ) for corn crops with a total area of 15,412 ha spread across several districts in Pangkep namely Kec. Balocci 3,275 ha, Bungoro 2,692 ha, Labakkang 116 ha, Mandalle 1,005 ha, Ma'rang 1,273 ha, Minasatene 338 ha, Segeri 1,334 ha and Todong Tallasa 5,378 ha. There is one sub-district where no suitable land was found, namely Pangkajene sub-district. 2.There is land with a land suitability class that is marginally suitable (S3) with a total area of 61,723 ha. Spread across several sub-districts in Pangkep district, namely Balocci sub-district 9,899 ha, Bungoro sub-district 6,207 ha, Labakkang sub-district 10,379 ha, Mandalle sub-district 3,519 ha, Ma'rang sub-district 8,212 ha, Minasatene sub-district 8,241 ha, Pangkajene sub-district 4,050 ha, Segeri sub-district 4,751 ha and Todong Tallasa sub-district 6,465 ha. 3.There is an unsuitable land suitability class (N) with a total area of 1,895 ha for corn crops in Pangkep District. Scattered in several kecematan in Pangkep district, namely Ma'rang sub-district 1 ha, Segeri sub-district 39 ha and Todong Tallasa sub-district 1,855 ha

Abstract

Natural disasters result in increased risk of metabolic syndrome (MetS) and reduced quality of life (QoL), especially in vulnerable groups such as women. Objective: To determine the relationship between the incidence of metabolic syndrome and the quality of life of women in Tondo Permanent Residence, Palu City. The study used a cross sectional design with a total sample of 80 women aged 18-65 years selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through measurement of blood pressure, lipid profile, blood glucose, abdominal circumference, and quality of life questionnaire, then analyzed using chi square test and odds ratio (OR) with STATA software.  53.75% of respondents had metabolic syndrome, with significant risk factors including age, high blood pressure, total cholesterol >200 mg/dL, triglycerides >200 mg/dL, blood glucose >100 mg/dL, and abdominal circumference >80 cm. Abdominal circumference >80 cm was the strongest predictor with an OR of 77.5. Women with a better metabolic profile had a higher quality of life. There is a significant association between metabolic syndrome and the quality of life of women in Tondo Permanent Residence.

Abstract

Pre-school age children are an important period, because this period is the basis that determines a child's future development. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the nutritional status of pre-school children. Proper and balanced nutritional intake will affect children's development, growth and intelligence. Likewise, exposure to cigarette smoke can result in loss of appetite in children, which has a negative impact on child development, including increasing the risk of stunting. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between exposure to cigarette smoke, nutritional status and development of preschool children. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between exposure to cigarette smoke and nutritional status on the development of preschool children. This research uses a correlational analytical design with a cross sectional approach, to see the relationship between the independent variables, namely exposure to cigarette smoke and nutritional status, to the dependent variable, namely the development of preschool children, using the chi-square test. In 76 samples, the period from February to March 2024. The results of the correlation test show that there is a significant relationship between the independent variable, namely exposure to cigarette smoke and nutritional status, to the dependent variable, namely the development of preschool children. This is indicated by a smaller significant value (p-value). from a significance level of 5%. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between cigarette smoke exposure and the nutritional status and development of preschool children. It is important for parents to pay attention to their children's nutritional intake and for the Regional Government to consider establishing a Smoke-Free Area.

Abstract

Stimulation of children's growth and development includes fine motor development, gross motor skills, speech and language development, and independence. The toddler age is the right time to optimize children's development. For children's development to be optimal, the basic needs of children for growth and development must be met first. Various problems in child development, such as motor delays, language, and behavior. Children who receive directed stimulation will develop faster than children who receive less stimulation or no stimulation at all. The purpose of the research was to determine the relationship between stimulation of maternal knowledge, stimulation of maternal attitudes, and maternal family support with stimulatory behavior. The research design used a cross-sectional approach. The research location in Pondok Udik Village involved 67 respondents using purposive sampling techniques. The statistical test obtained a value of ρ 0.020 <α = 0.05 meaning that there is a relationship between the stimulation of the mother's knowledge and stimulatory behavior, the value of ρ 0.030 <α = 0.05 means that there is a relationship between the stimulation of the mother's attitude and the results of the statistical test obtained a value of ρ 0.017 < α = 0.05 meaning that there is a relationship between the mother's family support and stimulatory behavior. The study's results showed a relationship between family knowledge, attitudes, and support and stimulatory behaviors carried out by mothers. There is a need for community-based interventions such as regular education, parenting training, and mothers' group support to increase the capacity of families to provide appropriate and sustainable development stimulation to children.

Abstract

Gagal ginjal kronik (GGK) merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan global yang menyebabkan beban signifikan terhadap sistem layanan kesehatan. Sekitar 1,5 juta penderita GGK menjalani hemodialisis secara rutin, dan salah satu komplikasi umum yang terjadi selama hemodialisis adalah perubahan tekanan darah akibat penambahan berat badan interdialitik (IDWG). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara IDWG dengan perubahan tekanan darah intradialisis pada pasien gagal ginjal kronik. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain observasional analitik dan pendekatan cross-sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 72 responden yang dipilih dengan teknik total sampling di Ruang Hemodialisis RS Rumah Sehat Terpadu Dompet Dhuafa Bogor. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan berat badan sebelum dan setelah sesi dialisis serta pengukuran tekanan darah secara langsung dan dari rekam medis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara IDWG dengan perubahan tekanan darah intradialisis (nilai p = 0,000 < 0,05), dan nilai odds ratio sebesar 24,231. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pasien dengan IDWG berat memiliki risiko lebih tinggi mengalami peningkatan tekanan darah saat dialisis. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan yang signifikan antara IDWG dengan perubahan tekanan darah intradialisis pada pasien gagal ginjal kronik. Rekomendasi dari studi ini adalah perlunya pemantauan ketat dan edukasi pasien dalam mengelola asupan cairan untuk menurunkan risiko komplikasi tekanan darah selama hemodialisis.

Abstract

This study optimized maize cultivation in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, a tropical region with diverse topography and environmental constraints, by integrating Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP) and spatial autocorrelation analysis to assess land suitability. Using a two-stage Fuzzy AHP, 12 criteria (e.g., slope, landslide risk, rainfall) were normalized via fuzzy membership functions and weighted through expert pairwise comparisons in a GIS framework, with spatial autocorrelation identifying clustering patterns. A 30-meter resolution dataset covering topographic, soil, climatic, land use, and environmental risk factors, prioritized slope, landslide risk, and rainfall, yielding a consistent model (CR = 0.0093). The suitability map classified 1.35% (2,445 ha) as highly suitable (S1), 18.1% (32,868 ha) as moderately suitable (S2), 49.1% as marginally suitable (S3), and 31.45% as unsuitable (N). Spatial autocorrelation (Moran’s I = 0.81, p = 0.001) revealed S1/S2 hotspots in the northern plains, ideal for maize expansion, and N coldspots in the eastern highlands, limited by steep slopes and landslide risks. Overlay analysis highlighted land-use conflicts, with moderately suitable land in settlements and unsuitable land in nature reserves, underscoring the need for integrated planning. The framework prioritizes low-risk S1/S2 hotspots for cultivation, restricts high-risk zones, and promotes sustainable practices like terracing and agroforestry for marginal lands. This replicable methodology offers policymakers and farmers actionable insights to enhance maize productivity while ensuring environmental resilience in tropical landscapes. Policymakers should enforce zoning to protect S1/S2 hotspots and subsidize sustainable practices.
