Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of workload, training, and rewards on the service quality performance of frontliners at PT Private Bank X, with motivation as an intervening variable. The research is grounded in the critical role of frontliners in delivering customer-facing services, which are affected by factors such as workload, training, and rewards. The research questions focus on the extent to which these three variables impact service quality performance through motivation. The study employs a quantitative approach using multiple regression analysis and mediation testing to evaluate the role of motivation. The findings indicate that workload has a significantly negative impact on frontliner performance, whereas training and rewards have a significantly positive effect. Moreover, motivation serves as an intervening variable that strengthens the influence of training and rewards on service quality performance but does not enhance the impact of workload. These results suggest that to enhance service quality performance, the company should focus on improving training programs and providing appropriate rewards while effectively managing workload to prevent a decrease in employee motivation.

Abstract

Abstract

This research explores the role of Indonesia's blue economy in promoting sustainable development and economic growth, focusing specifically on the catfish industry. With increasing domestic and export demand, the catfish sector is positioned to capitalize on the opportunities presented by marine-based activities, such as fisheries and aquaculture. To maximize this potential, stakeholders must adopt digital transformation and implement a collaborative Penta-Helix model, which integrates government, academia, industry, community, and media. This study examines critical success factors for catfish entrepreneurs, highlighting how the Penta-Helix model can facilitate digital innovation and enhance income levels. Mixed method was employed in this research. By leveraging technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), catfish producers can improve operational efficiency, optimize resource management, and expand market reach. Real-time monitoring of essential production factors, including water quality and feed consumption, enables more efficient resource utilization, reduced production costs, and improved product quality. The findings indicate that the synergy between digital transformation and the Penta-Helix model is vital for enhancing the competitive edge of catfish enterprises and fostering sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of digital transformation in increasing the income of catfish farmers in several ways: (1) Analyze who benefits from the implementation of digital transformation; (2) Analyze the creation of jobs with the use of digital transformation; (3) Analyze the motivation of catfish farmer groups in entrepreneurship; (4) Analyze the use of digital transformation in the implementation of the blue economy. Qualitative methods were used to collect initial data related to the potential of catfish farmers in West Java Province, Indonesia. Participatory observation, in-depth interviews, surveys, and Penta-Helix model were also utilized. This study also formulates hypotheses and builds instruments for quantitative measurement. Our research focus on one province which may not generalizable to other cities and provinces in Indonesia. The future research may conduct in other cities or provinces because Indonesia is well known as archipelagic country in the world that has great potential for blue economy in the marine and fisheries sector. West Java proximity to Jakarta provides a logistical advantage for catfish distribution. A penta-helix collaboration (government, stakeholders, academia, community, industry) should develop infrastructure for cultivation, processing, logistics and digital management.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of competency development and compensation systems on employee performance through literature review approach within strategic human resource management perspective. Library research methodology was employed to synthesize findings from various scientific publications during 2020-2025 period. Analysis results demonstrate that competency development operates through cognitive, psychomotor, and affective dimensions forming employees' holistic capabilities. Compensation systems integrate financial and non-financial components within total reward framework influencing motivational dynamics. The interrelation between both variables creates synergistic effects strengthening performance outcomes through reinforcement mechanisms. Strategic implications indicate that systematic integration between competency development and compensation alignment generates sustainable competitive advantages. This research contributes to theoretical framework development in strategic HRM and provides insights for practitioners in optimizing human capital investments.
