Abstract

Today's society thinks more realistically and critically in choosing educational institutions for their families. Therefore, educational institutions, through the principal as a manager, must carry out their duties with a transformative leadership style so that the positive image of the school increases so that it becomes the community's first choice to send their families to the school. This study presents a transformative leadership strategy for improving the school's image so that it exists amid competition between educational institutions. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. The object of this research is Islamic Senior High School of Nurul Jadid. The results showed that: Transformative leadership can create and enhance a positive image of the school where the positive image of Islamic Senior High School of Nurul Jadid can be seen from the achievements in academic and non-academic fields; The strategy used by the principal in improving the positive image of Islamic Senior High School of Nurul Jadid is by empowering and increasing the discipline of all school members which in its implementation is influenced by supporting factors, namely academic achievement, pleasing personality, and high socialization while the inhibiting factor is the lack of awareness of new teachers in educating students.

Abstract

The performance of teachers has a significant impact on the overall performance of educational institutions. This research focuses on the implementation of the performance management system to improve teacher productivity at Nurul Jadid High School. A qualitative approach is the approach used in this research, while a case study is the type of research. In addition, this research was conducted at an educational institution within the boarding school environment, namely Nurul Jadid High School. Research data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Informants of the principal, vice principal, and teachers were used as primary data, while secondary data were obtained through national and international journals. Data analysis was carried out in a series of sequential stages, starting with data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research performance management system are implemented through several stages, starting with the planning system, implementation system, evaluation system, and reward system. In addition, the implementation increases teacher productivity in carrying out their duties and functions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze marketing strategies that combine local cultural values with digital technology and the challenges faced. A qualitative approach with a case study type was used in the research. The data collection techniques used include participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the integration of local wisdom in marketing helped strengthen the pesantren's identity and attract prospective students, while the adoption of digital communication technologies such as e- learning and social media successfully expanded the marketing reach and increased the accessibility of education. However, the research also identified challenges such as limited technological infrastructure and the need for adequate training. Recommendations include increased investment in technology infrastructure, continuous training for staff and santri, and the development of a balanced marketing strategy between local values and technology. The results of this study are expected to provide insights for other educational institutions in adopting similar approaches to improve the quality of education and the attractiveness of institutions in the digital era.

Abstract

The Community Service Programme at MA Mambaul Ulum Paiton focuses on improving the digital literacy of grade XII students through Microsoft Word training. This initiative addresses the urgent need for the students to acquire essential office software skills, which are critical for success in higher education and professional environments. The programme is implemented through three stages viz: planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. It starts with identifying students' skill gaps, designing a phased curriculum, and delivering hands-on practice-based training. Training sessions covered basic topics, including an introduction to the Microsoft Word interface, formatting and organising documents, as well as advanced features such as creating tables and creating charts. To maximise learning outcomes, training was conducted in small groups, using interactive teaching methods and continuous evaluation. The results showed significant improvements in students' competencies, demonstrating the programme's ability to effectively bridge the digital skills gap. In addition, the initiative also provides long-term benefits by improving students' readiness to face academic and professional challenges. This effort not only fulfils an educational need, but also strengthens the overall quality of education contributing to the growth of digital literacy in MA mambaul Ulum.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools face the challenge of adapting to globalization and digitalization without losing their traditional identity. This study aims to analyze the application of strategic management to improve the performance of administrators at the Bureau of Female Islamic Boarding Schools of Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study, where data is collected through participant observation, documentation studies, and in-depth interviews. Informants consist of the head of the bureau of female Islamic boarding schools, staff, and female Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School students. The selection of the research location is based on the ease of obtaining research data and the strategic role in the development of Islamic boarding school-based education, which is based on the research topic. Data were analyzed in three stages: reduction, display, and conclusion. The study results show that the stages of strategic management include formulation, implementation, and evaluation. Formulation involves formulating a vision and mission, SWOT analysis, and strategic goal planning. Implementation of the strategy consists of selecting administrators, providing leadership training, using digital applications for Islamic boarding schools, and giving appreciation to outstanding administrators. Evaluation is carried out through regular meetings to monitor progress and make strategy adjustments. Supporting factors include institutional leadership and inter-departmental coordination while inhibiting factors include limited time and funds. Implementing effective strategic management can improve the performance of administrators, support the achievement of the vision of the Islamic boarding school, and create an adaptive and competitive environment in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the form of religious culture development based on local wisdom in Tunas Luhur Paiton High School and the factors that influence it. The type of research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were principals and high school teachers. This study found that developing a religious culture based on local wisdom has several forms: the habit of praying in the congregation, use of Islamic attributes, habituation of smiles, greetings, greetings (Senyum, Sapa, Salam-3S), availability of Islamic facilities, and celebration of Islamic holidays. The factors that support religious culture development are motivation and a pleasant work climate.

Abstract

Educational institutions really need educational marketing for sustainability and building a good image. This research wants to explore the educational marketing model of pesantren-based educational institutions in building the good image of madrasas. The research location was at the Fatimatuzzahro madrasah Islamic boarding school Nurul Jadid. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study type. Collecting research data using participant observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis is used by reducing data, displaying data and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the educational marketing model is carried out through alumni, digital, kyai figures, and word of mouth. This research is expected to have a significant impact on Islamic boarding schools-based educational institutions in carrying out educational marketing in building the good image of madrasah.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the methods used by women's transformational leadership in improving the organizational abilities of students in the Az-Zainiyah area of ​​the Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo Islamic boarding school. This research explores the impact of women's transformational leadership roles on santri's organizational abilities, emphasizing the relevance of these skills in the context of inclusive and sustainable Islamic education. The qualitative approach used in this research is a case study type. The selection of objects in the Az-Zainiyah region was based on considerations because they have produced many successful alumni who are involved in government organizations. The techniques used to collect research data consist of in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Where the research data consists of primary data obtained from several research informants, namely the regional head, three Az-Zainiyah regional administrators, five Az-Zainiyah students and five Az-Zainiyah alumni. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained from national and international journals that were relevant to research. The data analysis techniques used consist of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that women's leadership methods in improving santri organizations are carried out by providing santri organizations, holding training and competency development, providing practical experience through various activities, and providing facilities. Abstract

Leadership and organization are two things that are interrelated and cannot be separated. The absence of basic leadership training is a problem experienced by partners. The participation of Tunas Luhur High School as a partner in this service activity provides a place and human resources to be given training. This basic leadership training service activity is a collaboration of lecturers and students in the Islamic Education Management Study Program at Nurul Jadid University. This activity uses participatory lecture and discussion methods. Training activities are carried out through several noble stages from the observation stage, the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The results of the training given to the participants show that this activity has provided new knowledge and is useful for the training participants in facing a competitive and destructive era like today. This is based on the results of evaluations carried out by conducting comparisons and interpretations of the results of the pre-test and post-test carried out before and after the training.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the public relations strategy for increasing new student enrollment at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Paiton. Using a case study-based qualitative approach, this research explores the various promotional methods applied by the school's public relations, including the utilization of social media, organizing open houses, cooperation with kindergartens/early childhood, and fostering public relations. The results showed that well-planned and innovative PR strategies contributed significantly to the increase in the number of new students. The application of social media as a means of communication and promotion, as well as active interaction with audiences, are key factors in attracting prospective students and parents. In addition, open house programs and collaboration with other educational institutions also support the effectiveness of new student enrollment campaigns. With a sustainable and research-based strategy, SD Muhammadiyah 1 Paiton is able to increase its competitiveness in the world of education.
