Abstract

E-Booklet based on science literacy accompanied by mind mapping is a form of the diversity of learning products that can be aligned with the development of technology and information. The purpose of this study aimed to determine the feasibility, response, and readability of a science literacy-based e-booklet accompanied by mind mapping on human digestive system material. This type of research is development research with the ADDIE model without the implementation phase. The research subjects included 31 students of class VIII-A and 13 students of class VIII-B. Based on the research that has been done, the average results of the media aspect feasibility test assessment were validity of 1 with a valid category, 92.2% reliability with a very reliable category, and a material aspect validity of 0.99 with a valid category, 100% reliability with a very reliable category. The results of the assessment of student responses and readability of the e-booklet obtained a very good category. It concluded that the use of science literacy-based e-booklets accompanied by mind mapping on human digestive system material is feasible to use in learning.

Abstract

Science comic based on auvidi media are rarely applied in science learning. Based on the result of pre-research at SMP Al Hikam Kemayoran students consider that learning science is very difficult and boring due to the lack of use of learning media. The solution given is to develop science comics based on auvidi media on global warming materials. This development research aims to determine the feasibility, readability, and students responses to the media. This study uses the ADDIE development model. This research was conducted at SMP Al Hikam Kemayoran class VII with 34 students. The sampling method is a saturated sample technique for class VII students. Data collection techniques use interviews, quesrionnaires, and documentation. The results of the media feasibility validation obtained an average result of 0,98, while the material eligibility validation obtained an average of 0,83 as very valid. The readability percentage obtained an average score 83,50% and student respons obtained an average score of 88,88% in the very good category.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the percentage of misconception levels of junior high school students using a five tier diagnostic test on the classification of living things. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with a population of class VII students at SMP Negeri 3 Bangkalan for the 2022/2023 academic year. The samples used in the research were classes VII-A and VII-D based on purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out by administering five tier diagnostic test questions. The research results showed that: 1) Students experienced M (Misconception) 37.73%, SC (Scientific Conception) 17.27%, ASC (Almost Scientific Conception) 2.73%, LK (Lack of Knowledge) 26.64%, NU (No Understanding Conception) 15.18%, and UnC (Un-Code) 0.45%, 2) The percentage of classification of misconception levels based on calculations using standard deviation and the mean of students is in the low misconception category of 27.27%, moderate misconception amounted to 52.73%, and high misconceptions amounted to 20%. Based on the results of the research and data analysis carried out, it can be concluded that the high percentage of students' misconceptions indicates that the material on the classification of living things is quite difficult for students at SMP Negeri 3 Bangkalan to understand.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to 1) develop AR learning media regarding the interaction of living things and the environment, 2) determine the feasibility and response to AR media, and 3) determine differences in students' motivation and science learning outcomes before and after implementing AR media. AR-based mobile application. The study of AR media development uses the Waterfall development model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, code, testing, and maintenance. In-depth research data collection techniques use observation sheets, interview guides, media expert and material expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires as well as science learning motivation questionnaires and cognitive tests. The learning trial used a quasi-experimental design method with a research pattern using a nonequivalent control group pretest and posttest design involving 2 classes, namely class VII-C as the control group and VII-D as the experimental group. The results of the research show that 1) AR-based mobile applications can be used anytime and anywhere, the resulting applications are equipped with animations, games, and 3-dimensional and 2-dimensional images, 2) the product is valid and AR-based AR-based mobile applications are suiTabel for testing and response results in students towards AR-based mobile applications received a very good response from students, 3) learning using AR-based mobile applications can increase learning motivation and student learning outcomes, especially in the subject of interaction between living things and the environment.

Abstract

Students’ scientific literacy in Indonesia, especially at the junior high school level, is still low, thus requiring an innovative learning approach. Integrating local wisdom, such as Madurese batik, into science learning makes learning more contextual. This research aimed to analyze the effect of discovery learning assisted by a Madurese Batik science module on students’ scientific literacy improvement. A one-group pretest-posttest design was utilized for this study, involving a sample of 31 students from class 7 at SMPN 2 Bangkalan. The research instrument used an essay test on scientific literacy competency. The analysis technique used the Wilcoxon and the N-Gain tests. The findings indicated a significant improvement in students’ scientific literacy (Wilcoxon sig. = 0.000), with a moderate N-Gain of 0.65. This study implies that integrating local wisdom into discovery learning can be an effective strategy to enhance students’ scientific literacy.
