Abstract

ABSTRACT This community service partnered with Nurul Iman Wattaqwa NW Boro' Growing Islamic Boarding School, Suralaga District East Lombok Regency. It aims at solving some of the problems faced by teachers in applying 21st century 4C skills (Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Collaboration, and Communication). The main problem is that many teachers were still tangled about what to expect when creating the learning instruments. It was even more confusing when it came to developing learning instruments that could cope with the characteristics of the 21st century education that promote high competencies in Technology, Pedagogy and Content and Knowledge (TPACK) as well as 4C. The results show that there is an upgrading in teachers' understanding of curriculum concept, learning instruments, and learning competencies required in Industrial Revolution 4.0 that integrates TPACK and 4C in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the marketing mix strategy (4Ps) by Muji Trekker, a community-based hiking tour service provider in Sembalun area, West Nusa Tenggara. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews and field observations. The findings show that Muji Trekker implements a product strategy through the provision of various climbing packages (Deluxe, Standard, and Budget) based on market research and consumer economic conditions. The pricing strategy is applied with a segmentation approach, where rates for foreign tourists are adjusted to higher operational costs. In promotion, Muji Trekker emphasises organic and relational methods such as social media, word of mouth, and customer testimonials over paid advertising. Meanwhile, the people aspect is a key element in the success of the service; guides not only act as technical facilitators, but also as friends and representations of local values that create an immersive experience for tourists. This study also shows that the 4P strategy is adaptive and contextualised, with limited resources encouraging innovation and creativity. Strategically, this relationship-based approach can be used as an alternative model for community tourism development in non-urban areas. The academic implications of this research enrich the tourism service marketing literature with empirical evidence from unexplored local areas, and encourage digital training policies and human resource capacity building in the experiential tourism sector.

Abstract

Abstract

This article examines a community service program aimed at fostering the mental and spiritual development of Muslim children living in the peripheral area of Bogor. The program was initiated in response to limited educational access, inadequate learning facilities, and the insufficient training and welfare of teachers in the area. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach and was conducted at PAUD Nibrosu Lamhariyah (NILAM), located in Cibeuteung Muara Village, Ciseeng District, Bogor Regency. The program was carried out over a four-month period, involving four teachers and forty-two students divided into two age groups. The learning activities focused on religious education through the Tilawati method for Qur’anic reading and the talaqqi method for tahfidz or memorization. The findings indicate that the program contributed positively to the children’s religious learning outcomes. Around 90% of the students were able to follow the lessons and read qira’ati properly, while 85% were able to memorize up to four short surahs, short hadiths, and ablution prayers along with their practice. These results suggest that structured religious guidance can effectively support the spiritual development of early childhood learners in marginalized communities. However, the implementation of the program still faced several challenges, including limited infrastructure, insufficient financial support, and inadequate attention to teacher welfare in peripheral educational settings.

Abstract

High gap between ecological knowledge and pro-environmental action remains a critical challenge for sustainability, particularly in ecologically sensitive border regions. This study addresses this gap by developing and testing a Civic Ecological Transformation (CET) learning model based on local knowledge to enhance students’ ecological awareness in the Indonesia–Malaysia border region. Using a mixed-methods approach with a sequential exploratory design, the study began with a qualitative exploration (interviews, FGDs, observations) to identify local cultural values, followed by a quantitative phase (one-group pretest-posttest, PLS-SEM) to test the model’s effectiveness. The findings reveal that the integration of local knowledge such as belalek, saprahan, and tepung tawar significantly improves ecological awareness. Path analysis confirms the effect of the CET learning model is fully mediated by this integration of local knowledge. The CET model effectively fosters ecological citizenship and supports the achievement of SDG 4, 13, and 15, contributing a pedagogical innovation for Civic Education rooted in environmental sustainability.
